In one of the colleges I'm interested in, it says no electrical appliances. You're allowed to have a small refridgerator, so I'm assuming they mean heaters, toasters, etc. I know every college is different, but generally, are you allowed to bring hair dryers and hair straighteners?? Can you use them in your room or do some dorms require you to only use them in the common bathroom?? Any ideas or experiences?? Thanks!!

Hair dryers are a pain because they're loud, but yeah, you can bring them.

They mean no toasters, heaters, microwaves, blenders, electric blankets, etc.

You can have a computer, hair stuff, lights, a refrigerator, and stuff like that.

Okay so im redoing my room like painting and stuff and i want the color to be teal and silver and im getting a new bed set and im having trouble finding something that would even match that my mom says dolphins would and she saw something like that but its not what im looking for. i want a bed in a bag set that comes with everything sheets bed skirt and pillow cases i dont want it to b alot like $129 is alot. White is crisp as can be.

Do it yourself. But white stuff and go to your local craft store and buy Rit dye in your color of choice.

It's relatively easy to do, and worth it. Just test the color before you dye to whole set.

You'll probably need between 3 and 5 boxes of dye, but at $3 a pop, that's not bad at all.

Okay, so obviously I'm not going to get casted in a movie overnight but I was wondering, when people call for small parts in ads and stuff, usually they go through agents.

How would I get an agent? And do any ads ever post a spot needed publically? If so...where?

No, any legit agent would NOT just post ads. They get enough people coming to them without that.

You have to be relatively good looking, a strong reader, and rather resilient. Google agents around where you live.

I was just wondering on your thoughts of homework helping and why so many people dislike it. I mean i know many people dislike homework but when a friend asks you for help would you help them? I do but it seems that when i'm in the time of need, noone will help me and it just seems to be impossible for me to finish it.

I'm on msn helping others with their but when i need help, everyone says that they have to go and my whole list practically goes empty! And I can't ask for help here because homework questions are forbidded. Is there some toher way I can get some help that's free online maybe?

YG pretty much summed it up, but in addition, offer to exchange stuff when you are helping people.

If they ask if you have number 3, say that you do, but that you'll trade it for number 9.

If they refuse to help you, then don't you help them. Don't let people take advantage of you.

Hey im 16/f and in the past few weeks i have noticed that my butt and boobs have shrunk dramatically. (they were quite small to begin with lol) I really dont know why, I quit basketball this year so i am between my normal sports that are in the fall and spring, i also have been eating more, but i would think that would only make me fatter, right? (my stomach got a bit bigger) I also play indoor field hockey on a club team which is about twice a week so im not completly inactive, but my pants are sagging and my bras are too big now.

What could be causing this?
What can i do to stops this?
What can i do to make my boobs and butt bigger?

If you stop working out certain parts of your body, they shrink.

For example, not doing squats and push-ups after you have been for awhile can make your boobs and butt lose muscle.

For my 14th birthday party i have no idea what to do. its on january 19th.. that will be the day of the party as well since its a saturday. i cant invite too many people either cause im sure my parents would say no and all the food costs and keeping everyone entertained will be hard. ok so i wanna invite like 6-7 girls.

what are really cute ways to make invitations cheaply and creatively awesome? give me sites with ideas or your ideas. and.. for the party idk what will keep guests entertained.. my parents dont like sleepovers so it probably wont happen especially with like 7 other girls.. yea and what time should the party/gettogether start and end..

and the when we come home..i dont know what we'll do. we barely have any games. like we have sims 2 but its hard since everyone wants to control but that can be fun for a bit.. and what else can we do? bake cookies? um.. limbo? dance? what are some great dancey songs for me to use? i'll start making a mix CD. and other cool, fun ideas that will make my party bangin and not make the guests leave!

btw what foods should be there too? i like little cute healthy but tasty things.. chocolate ofcourse, though. maybe like.. icecream bars, pizza, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. and drinks.. juice, water and like sprite or pepsi? and should there be a theme? what? like its right in the middle of winter (my bday) and the closest holiday is like martin luther king jr day lol. give me your best party advice and ideas and.. also where are other cheapish but lots of fun places i can have my party with a couple people?

During spelling bees, is there a round or time when the teacher [or whoever is asking for the words] when they ask for definitions and then you have to spell it? My teacher won't tell me anything and I don't want to be alarmed when I get to that round when they tell me a definition and I don't know the word!

i can easily say i love my boyfriend. i am 18, a senior at my school and when i say this i mean it, i am a hell of alot more mature than anyone at my school. i have gone through alot and dont hangout with one person there. it sucks but ive learned to live with it. its not that im a bitch or ugly, i am just dont good with those people. so anyway, my boyfriend is 24 and lived in boston and went to school there(i lived 15 mins north) we dated this whole summer until he had to move back home an hour away in september. ever since then, things have been great and we hangout weekends and i cannot complain. i usually am not a relationship person nor have i ever gotten attatched, but me and my man are in love. i am so happy, its like hes the only one. he is graduating in may from school and will be a physical therapist and has been talking about moving to cali or florida this summer. he wants me to come but i am nervous i wont like it

My 16th birthday is coming up, so I'm trying to plan a party or something, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do it. I have a lot of friends who are in different groups: like, there's a group of kids I hang out with from band, a group from lacrosse, and then some others I've just known awhile that are close to me. I don't want to have just one massive super party where I invite all of them because I feel like if I do that then some of them will be neglected at some point, and they are all pretty close friends with me. I have thought about doing a party and inviting only the biggest group, and then another day do something with the others like go out to dinner or something. But there's so many groups idk what to do... what would you do?

I'm converting to Judaism. Yes, I know it's a very rigorous process. Yes, I know I won't be accepted by some branches of Judaism. I have done all of the research, I'm planning on talking with a rabbi in my area soon and start conversion classes. It's what is right for me, I know it. The only problem is that I'm afraid to tell my family and friends. My parents themselves are not religious at all. They celebrate Christian holidays because my mother was raised Catholic and my father was raised Orthodox, but neither one of them ever raised my siblings and me in a certain religion. My mother's stepmom is even Jewish, as is my dad's brother-in-law. I know that this is what I need to do, what will make me feel whole. I've always felt a part of the Jewish community, even when I was younger, I just don't know how to tell my family this. I tried to bring it up with my older brother and he didn't really understand. He asked me, "Why do you need some sort of organized religion? Why can't you just believe what you believe?". Being the youngest, they don't always take me seriously. My mom really loves celebrating the holidays too and I don't really know how she'll react. What should I do to let them know?

Celebrating "the holidays" won't change if you are Jewish.

Chanukah and Christmas often coexist on certain lovely days of December. Chanukah is generally perceived as less materialistic as Christmas because it is more than a birthday.

With that said, I assume you'll be converting to reform Judaism. If that's not what you were originally doing, I recommend it highly.

Reform Judaism is the "level" of Judaism that is the freest and lets you believe more of what you want with the Torah as guidance. I know of a few reform Jews that are wondering if there is a God. They do not wear kippot or tzitzit. Many keep kosher just as many do not. Reform Judaism is very, very big on fixing the world, or tikkun olam (this is also known as social action). You can google it. Those alone should help your family accept it. That and it's VERY similar to Christianity except that we Jews do not believe that the Messiah has come, whereas Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah.

hi! im planning on transferring to a public college in illinois. i currently don live in illinois and i attend college in my home state. but i was wondering how long i would have to live there to get in state tuition? or if i go there and pay out of state tuition for one year, then the 2nd year commute from an apartment i buy in illinois, will i be able to get in state tuition?

im sorry this is so confusing but if you guys have any experience or anything with this that would be great! =]
