im not gay, im just asking because my sister's gay and she was sexually abused as a child.
Honestly, I don't really have an opinion or theory for either direction. I've never really thought about it, never really cared. However, I have a homosexual aunt. She was sexually abused from an extremely young age, until her young adulthood. She claims this abuse made her "hate" men, all men, and everything they stand for. She claims that the "life changing" events she endured frightened her closer and closer to the comforts of a woman. And then from there, it was "history". Anyhow, this isn't my opinion; this is my aunt's story. I figured I'd include it, just in case you don't have the option of discussing this with your sister..
You take every opportunity possible to get to know that person. You talk to them online. You call them. You ask them to hang out with you on the weekends. Relationships don't usually blossom overnight, sometimes they may require effort and time. And when all else fails, I suggest asking them directly. I've always thought that if there's someone you find yourself interested in, the most productive thing to do is to approach them. Just be bold, be honest, and go for it. It's the only way to know for sure how they might be feeling about you. You can sit and assume their thoughts and feelings allll you want... but you'll never know exactly what's in their heart unless it's coming straight from their mouth.

As for getting the icons on your page, just right click and "copy" them from someone else. And if they have a right click protection, it's best to find another page, because if that's the case... then finding the code for that specific icon is more trouble than it's worth. But once you've copied it, then make a new blog on your Xanga, and right click "PASTE" them into the box. You'll notice on your new blog page is a tiny little box that says "EDIT HTML". Now, if you want your icon to show up, you have to make sure that the little box is NNNNOOOTTTT checked!
And as far as your layout goes, you just go into your "LOOK & FEEL" page, and paste the code in the wayyyyyy bottom box, entitled, "WEBSITE STATS". The code may have something called a "header", and that goes in the very TOP box on your "LOOK & FEEL" page. You will have to change it to, "INPUT YOUR OWN HEADER", but that's right there in plain view.

"Meryl Norman", which can only be purchased at "The Meryl Norman Cosmetic Studios", is pricey [typically $8.50 - $15.00], but it REALLY IS good stuff. It goes on wonderfully, and stays on all day! On the other hand... I happen to think that "Beautique" is INCREDIBLE!! However, I've ONLY seen "Beautique" at "Sally's". Good news though, it's only .99 cents. TRUST ME.. I would NEVER EVER EVER buy crap make up!!! I get only the best, so please, please, please, please DON'T let this dollar price throw you off - you'd be cheating yourself out of the best product out there!! I'd *PREFER* "Beautique" out of ANY other brand of eye liner on the market!! I could easily go out and buy a $15.00 pencil, but I'd RATHER get "Beautique"! Well for one thing, have you considered this: are you comfortable with your tool? Do you use liquid or pencil? And are you happy with what you use, brand and type and the whole shebang?? If not, then I suggest experimenting until you find one that is more cozy and suitable to your needs.
And, when it comes to liquid eye liner or pencil eye liner, it's just a personal preference as to which we use. Certain things suit certain people. However, if you ask... chances are that most people will tell you that pencil is a better choice for them. It's a great start for a beginner who is just getting used to it. If you mess up, pencil is A WHOLE LOT easier to clean up and re-do than liquid is. Also, if you plan on carrying it around in a purse or pocket.. you risk the chance that the liquid may ruin [though I don't suggest carrying eye liner in your pocket]. If you DO mess it up, just take a tissue and slowly run it along the rim of your eye lid.. it'll come right up.
Now, the desired effect of eye liner is to create the illusion of darkness just above the lashline to enhance the look of the lashes. To apply it, gently hold your eye lid down, and start at the inner part of the lid [closest to your nose]. Then just simply draw a thin line smoothly and evenly along the top and bottom lid, getting as close to the lashes as possible. If it looks like there is a space between the liner and your lashes, then I guess you just have to thicken the line a bit. Or, if you'd rather have a very thin line, I guess you just have to try again. One last thing, make shore you draw the line all the way to the outside corner.
If you're still experiencing difficulties, don't get discourage. It will probably take some practice -- it took me a while at first too. Now, I have it down incredibly well!!
As for getting it to last long, a few things will determine that. Common sense tells you not to smudge it by touching your eye and screwing around with your mascara. To help prevent such things, experiment with some brands out there. My make up would last for days and days if I didn't wash it off. I put my eye liner on very thick, because that's just how I like it. I do believe that the more you apply the longer it will last. However, that's not always the case. A great deal of it could depend on the product you choose. I like pencil. I'm not very good with liquid, but applying it is pretty much the same as pencil.

It's not really practical. And heres why: one pound has the equivalent of 3,500 calories. You never included your age or height/weight (which might have been helpful), but we'll just use an example here, okay? A 14 year old, 5'5", 170 pound female who hardly ever exercises should intake approximately 2,096 calories per day. Now, to lose one pound a day, you would have to burn off your daily intake of 2,096 calories PLUS ANOTHER 3,500 calories. That equals out to hours and hours of exercise. Therefore, your hope of losing one pound per day isn't really feasible, I'm sorry to say. However, if you start yourself on a healthy diet including plenty of exercise you could see a loss of 10-20 pounds per month. That might not seem like much, but it breaks down to a loss of 3 pounds per week, or 1-2 pound per 4 days. And that is a great accomplishment!!

Entering a background is simple. First, you must have the URL of your background. If this image is an image you found online, RIGHT CLICK it, and go down to "PROPERTIES". Once you click on "PROPERTIES", copy ALLLLL of the "ADDRESS URL". Then, go to your "COLUMN SETTINGS" page (a few under your "INBOX") and PASTE that link (which you've just copied) inside the slot that says, "PAGE BACKGROUND IMAGE (URL)"
Now (this is the easier way, in my opinion), if this image is some image from your computer, you have to have the imaged HOSTED in order to get the URL for it. You "host" something by going to: http://www.photobucket.com and SIGNING UP for a FREE account.
Then the page will refresh, and you should see a new page with an option to click on "BROWSE". Next, search your computer for the picture(s), and click "SUBMIT". Then the page will refresh yet again. You will see all/any images you happen to have on the new screen. Simply find the picture you want, and copy the PROVIDED URL in the TOP white slot. And of course, paste that where I told you on your "COLUMN SETTINGS" page.
