My name is Teza.. short for Tereza. I was born in Croatia and I speak more than one language. I'm 22 years old & I completed 2 college degrees in 3 years. My a bachelors is in Business Administration concentration in Human Resources and my Masters degree is also in HR.



I started this advice column about 9years ago and I was so young but it was something that I always loved to do. I am trying to get back to answering questions, at least a few per day. With that said, if you have questions about school, friends, make up, etc., feel free to ask.

K well my period is about a week late..

I had sex at the beginning of September and i
had a pregnancy scare, i was feeling sick every morning for 3 days straight and i got myself worried that i was pregnant.
Then later that month my period came, in October my period came but in November it didnt come and its now December.

I have not been under any stress, had a change in diet or more or less excercise than usual and my periods are always regular and on time.

So my question is what are the chances of being pregnant and getting 2 periods as normal, no difference in flow or anything, and then begin missing them? (it is possible).

Im beginning to worry here and thats the last thing i want to do as that may also cause my period more delay.

I can't be sure if you're pregnant or not. You had your period after you had sex so it's very rare that you'd be pregnant. I know that skipping a month or two might scare you, but it's actually normal for a lot of people. It happened to me & I never ended up being pregnant. If you really want to be sure, get a pregnancy test. You'll know for sure and that way you could stop worrying.

could a guy get sick or get a disease from "eating a girl out" ?
how could you prevent this from happening?

There is a possibility that a guy could get a disease from "eating a girl out". If she doesn't have std's or herpes or anything, then it'll be fine but he can't get a cold or anything like that. There really isn't a way to prevent it but as long as he tries to stay away from doing that to people who have it.

i am 13 years old and in seventh grade (female)
all the girls in my grade wear eyeliner except for me. My mom won't let me. (i asked her one time over the summer) what can i say to her or do so that she will let me wear it?

Try talking to your mom once more. She just thinks that you're too young to wear make up and she doesn't think you need it. Just talk to her about how it's really not a big deal if you wear it or not. You could also buy it and wear it at school but that would be going behind your mom's back and I don't think she would appriciate it. If she doesn't let you, just respect her decision and don't rush into wearing make up. Before when I didn't wear it I was fine, now that I do.. I can't go anywhere without make up on and I don't think you would want to be like that. Just be patient.

Running your hands through his hair doesn't really any guy on. It's sexy but no feelings towards it. Do little things that will make him want more. Sit on his lap, touch him all over, just do anything that you think will turn him on.

OK so sometimes i see a really hott guy walking down the sreet and i see him checking me out as i check him out

The sound of "hooking up" with random guys and getting their numbers is kinda of weird and akward. You see girls doing that in movies and shows but I don't think you really understand the consiquences or problems with that. You don't just want to get anyyy guys number. If you see someone that you're interested in, go up to them and say hi. Be flirty but not slutty. Laugh and just be yourself. Just have a good conversation and then the guy most likely will ask you for your number or ask to see you again. If you look despretate or anything, guys will notice that and it's somewhat a turn off.

Not knowing your gender, your age or anything it makes it harder for me to answer but it's normal. You're not the only person in the world that does this. Porn is normal and people just act immature when they hear that word. It's not a big deal and don't be embarassed.

Im trying to be somewhat creative for my bf for this christmas (we've been together for well over a yr & a half by this point) so what i do give him i know he'll appreciate!

I've sewed him fleece PJ's, bought him cute boxers, and now i want more creative ideas..

Sorry that it took me a while to answer this. I hope it's not a big deal. Anyways, if you really want to be creative, you should make him something that would mean a lot to him. Something that's about you two. What I would do is make a little scrap book with pictures of you and him together. You already got him a lot of good things and that would be something creative and unique. He would appriciate anything that you give him, but that would just show him how much effort you put into it and that you really care about him. Also, if not a scrap book, you could possibly make a picture frame or something.

Let's see.. bring up topics that you both think are interesting. Sometimes I don't even know what to say when I'm talking to someone, so I just say random things and ask random questions. Like .. so what are you doing this weekend? Stupid questions can start long conversations.

Okay so this is the deal, I dated this kid for like 6 months he was my first love and we were each others first (noo i dont mean sex ) just kissing and just loving each other. Whatever, that sounded DUMB so ANYWAAY. So whatever, he is this big shot in our school.. and I had always crushed on him. Okay.. well 65% of the girl population in my school hated me while we were dating, beacuse they all loved him and I couldnt take it anymoer and broke up with him(also my bestfriends had crushes on him and hated that we were dating) . It was really hard for both of us and it sucked. So its been about 6 months and I'm dating someone new ( who i loveee ) and he is dating the bestfriend of mine who wanted us to breakup in the first place.. We've talked and I miss him and he misses me but we're both happy right now. I just know we have unfinished buisness but i love my boyfriend and , dont want to breakup with him. SORRY THIS IS SO LONG !!!

I don't know how you can say you love your current boyfriend, but you're talking about hooking up with your ex boyfriend..? That just doesn't make sence. You shouldn't of let people pressure you into breaking up with someone that you love. No one should ever do that to you, especially your so called "best" friends. If you really love your boyfriend, you wouldn't even think about hooking up with someone else. I know you miss your ex but you guys should just be friends. I can't stop you from doing something you want to do, but before you do anything with your ex, make sure you won't regret it later. You might lose someone you love over some left over feelings. Just think about it. This is something you can help yourself better than any of us on this website.

i like this boy. and i'm pretty sure that he likes me too. My friends think i should ask him out. But i've never asked out a guy before. And i dont want to ruin our friendship we have now. So should i ask him out? and how?! please help

Before you ask him out, make sure you know if he has the same feelings towards you then you do towards him. I know if you asked him out & he said no, you'd be crushed so just talk to him about the relationship you have and just give him hints that you want to ask him out and maybe he'd get it.

ive been trying to lose about 10 pounds for the past couple months. i eat regularly and everything. sometimes when i have a craving for something fattening i eat it then make myself throw up. (then i win both ways. i get it, and i dont lose weight) i dont make myself throw up all my food, just the fattening food right after i eat it. is this dangerous or bad for my health?

It's VERY dangerous and bad for your health. What you're doing is called bulimia and it's the most ridicilous way to try and lose weight. You screw up your lungs and teeth by doing that. If you really want to lose weight, you wouldn't want to ruin your health. Stop eating fattening foods and eat healthy ones. Lose the 10 pounds and get it over with.

okay well im 15 and i have a boyfriend named tom... and tom's female friend ashley ..that i dont trust ATALL she is a back stabber..she invited us to go to a party. and the girl that is hosting the party is my BEST friend hayleys WORST enemy. i dont want my best friend hayley to hate me for going. and i know there is going to be alcohol there because i saw the girl that was hosting the party talking about it on myspace to the backstabber ashley. oh yeha did i mention that ashley is also one of hayleys WORST enimies?

I don't really know what you're asking here but you need to talk to your best friend. Ask her if she would be mad at you for going to that party. But honestly, she shouldn't be. Just because they are her worst enemies, doesn't mean you shouldn't go. It's your life and you can do whatever you want. Anywho, comfront your best friend and just talk to her. Explain to her that you just want to hang out with your boyfriend, and besides.. it's only going to be for one night so it shouldn't be a big deal.

there's this boy me and my friend both like *ted.
he doesn't know we don't like him but we KNOW he don't like us anyway....he like hates us. well anyway, we found a pictures of this girl on the internet (average girl) and made a myspace for her(we named her brooke)...anyway they also started talking on AIM on (brookes) personal s/n that we made her. well he trusts brooke enough to tell her anything (he also says he loves her)....his problems like gangs....drugs vilolence, and about his dad.
his dad was diagnosed with sercousis od the liver. his dad this week was put in hospital at chapal hill (which isn't good) now...yesterday they have him on a breahthing machine. with chrsitmas right around the corner i would hate to see him die...him and *ted are vey close. we want to tell who brooke really is but we think it will be too hard on him with all this other stuff going on. i haven't slept in days...im so worried about him. what do we do?

What you guys did was wrong and I'm sure you know that but keeping this a secret won't be good for eather you guys or him. Just wait a while and tell him the truth. Taking someones picture without their approval can get you guys in trouble, so if I were you.. I would delete the MySpace. Do you know why this guy hates you? If you do, fix it. Talk to him nicely and just comfort him about this. He's going to be upset & angry .. no doubt about that but the longer you keep this from him, the more it's going to hurt him. Tell him that if he ever needs anything that you'd be there for him and that you would support him. Maybe if you brought him a card or something for his dad, it would be really nice.

I am so sick of guys!
Like, I love them but I'm sick of not even being able to go into 7-11 for a bottle of water without getting told some derogatory remark!
Like...I'm at my school walking to lunch and a guy (who I don't know) walks past me and says "Ooh".
Sure, I like attention but it's always just because guys want some.
Random guys have asked how much a certain amount of money would get them and stuff but...Don't get me wrong...it feels good knowing that I'm attractive to guys but...how do I get it to stop a bit? Or at least handle it better.

You can't make them stop. Some guys are really immature like that and it's annoying. It's actually sexual harrasment. If someone else does it, just ignore them or tell them to stop. I'm not sure they will but just let them know that you don't give a crap weather they think you're hot or not. They're just lame.

i'm trying to find some healthy snacks to eat after school. i'm thinking about making my self a banana smoothie, but i'm not sure how. all of the recipes that i've read include ice cream or yougurt. and 1) ice cream would be too unhealthy and 2)i hate yogurt and i don't have any.

is it possible to make a banana smoothie with 1 whole banana and milk in a blender? what else would i need to add to this? and is this considered healthy?

if not...what are some other easy healthy snacks that i can eat. not peanut butter & apples or celery because i don't like those things.

I love smoothies ;]. What I do is put a bannana, maybe some strawberries, ice, & skim milk in a blender & mix it. Sometimes it isn't really sweet so I add a tsp. of sugar so it's sweeter. Also you could make fruit salads with fat free whipped cream. You can also go to google and type in healthy snaks. It will give you a bunch.

My best friend has been acting really weird. And today I asked her if she likes me or not and she says no because I was talking **** about her. And I never said ANYTHING about her! I asked her who said it, and she said she wouldn't tell. She said our friendship is over, and she won't even believe me, even after I swore on my cat that died! Now I'm in tears!

Wow. This is some immature bull crap. Don't put up with it. Best friends don't do this and they won't blow you off for some rumors. Swearing won't make her belive you. If she doesn't want to be friends, there's nothing you can do about it. It's not nice of her and you know that you didn't say anything so that's all that matters. I don't think that she will hold a grudge against you for long. Just don't bother her and beg her to be friends. It's pointless.


I know that it hurts your feelings because she's your best friend and please don't cry. She wasn't a best friends to begin with. You deserve a better friend who won't do this to you.
