epicadvice answered Saturday December 2 2006, 6:25 pm: This is called Bulemia. It's an eating disorder, and the worst way to try to lose weight. The acid burns your throat and will change the color of your teeth and fingers. You should try to stop on your own or talk to someone about it. I would reccommend talking to either a parent, friend, school nurse, or a counseler at school. Good luck and get better! [ epicadvice's advice column | Ask epicadvice A Question ]
Tara66 answered Saturday December 2 2006, 6:15 pm: Umm are you retarted? SERIOUSLY! If you do this often which im guessing you do in about a couple of months/years most of your teeth will fall out. And theirs something called exercsing and burning calories that way. You better stop right now then maybe you'll have some teeth left :/ [ Tara66's advice column | Ask Tara66 A Question ]
LikeItsMandaaa answered Saturday December 2 2006, 5:56 pm: yes it is really bad even iff you dont do it all the time and from doing this your teeth and fingers will turn yellow from the acid how nasty is that and also you dont want to be known in school as the anneroxic girl or the girl who makes herself puke after lunch [ LikeItsMandaaa's advice column | Ask LikeItsMandaaa A Question ]
xomichelle891xo answered Saturday December 2 2006, 5:22 pm: It doesnt matter how much you do it. An eating disorder is an eating disorder and I hate to be that blunt but it can turn really serious fast and it could be very dangerous. Some of the effects of making yourself throw up are:
an imbalance in electrolytes;
inflammation of the esophagus, salivary glands, and jaw;
problems with teeth, gums, and lips;
chronic irregular bowel movements due to abusive laxatives;
feelings of shame and guilt;
depression;
low self-esteem; and
damaged family and social relationships.
and death...
Please try to stop and if you CANT break the habit, get help because youre doing a lot of harm and it is bad for your health. Youre never getting both ways..maybe for a while, but not long. And also, throwing up doesnt get rid of ALL the calories, by the way. [ xomichelle891xo's advice column | Ask xomichelle891xo A Question ]
BeachBlondie12 answered Saturday December 2 2006, 4:56 pm: Yes it is. You can become a belimic.Trust me that is not the way to lose weight. People can get very sick and even die sometimes.If they dont die they are in thw hospital being feed by a tube.You dont want that. Its gonna be hard but your going to have to exercise more. Its ok to be bad sometimes and have a snack that your not suppose to but make sure its a small portion.dont stop completly eatting because you dont lose weight you have to have carbs in your body to burn off.
Hope i helped

mayonnaise answered Saturday December 2 2006, 2:50 pm: Its very dangerous.
I don't wanna lecture you or anything, but I used to do the same thing, and it got to the point were everything I ate, I would make myself throw up. Anyways, my boyfriend found out, and moved in with me to help me stop. I did. Then everytime I ate, I would throw it back up for no reason. [i wasn't trying] I ended up going to the doctor and I have no stomach acid, so my stomach can not break down food. That is why I threw up for no reason, after I had stopped doing it purposly. Anyways, now I'm on an all liquid diet for the next 2 years, and I can not eat solid foods.
infatuatedxxglamour answered Saturday December 2 2006, 2:49 pm: YES, it is. You're bulimic, even if you just throw up after eating fatty foods. There are mannnyyy side effects to bulimia, some of which being: erosion of teeth and dental problems, because of the acids produced when you throw up;
your salivary glands, which are visible on the outside of the neck, get swollen, because of the repeated vomiting; weight fluctuations; and irregular menstural periods. And the list goes on and on. There are many more serious side effects if you keep doing this, like poor kidney function, irregular heartbeats, muscle weakness, epileptic seizures, heart attacks, and strokes. That said--- stop what you're doing NOW!
Teza answered Saturday December 2 2006, 2:19 pm: It's VERY dangerous and bad for your health. What you're doing is called bulimia and it's the most ridicilous way to try and lose weight. You screw up your lungs and teeth by doing that. If you really want to lose weight, you wouldn't want to ruin your health. Stop eating fattening foods and eat healthy ones. Lose the 10 pounds and get it over with. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
Razhie answered Saturday December 2 2006, 2:08 pm: Self induced vomiting is dangerous and bad for your health, even if you aren't doing it much.
You could very easily cause irritation and inflammation in your throat, mouth and gums. Continue doing this for too and the stomach acid you are bringing up will begin to rot your teeth and cause gum disease. Vomiting too often and violently can also rupture the esophagus.
I'm sure you know the long terms effects of this, illness, malnutrition and the such, but even in the short term bulimia can cause illnesses that will kill you. So stop it. If you find you can't stop on your own, tell an adult. Ten pounds is not worth your health or your life. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]
