I'm 14 1/2 and i got highlights for the first time last month!! Your parents may not want you to get them because they are expensive and you have to keep doing it every few months because of the roots. I suggest you offer to pay for it by yourself, and if they won't take you, have a friend take you and get it done yourself! Your parents will get over it pretty easily, espesially if it's done right and looks good! Just make sure when you go you know what color you want and if you want a lot or little and if you have more hair thy're gonna charge you for the extra goop they use!

Hmmmm....why do "preppy" clothes have to be expensive?? All I can tell you is to wait for stores have sales, also you can't get hung up on names and you're gonna have to shop in the juinior's section at department stores where they have jeans for $25-35$ vs. $45-$60!! Also, you need to go to thrift shops...there is some great stuff in there whatever you click iz.
Money suggestions, try a paper route, bake sale, yard sale or house sitting while vactioners are away.

It depends on wether your counting Calories, carbs, fat content or your just paring down on you meals. One major thing is that if you want to lose weight, drink nothing but water! There are sooo many empty calories in soda, juice and iced tead/lemonade that it blows your entire diet in just one glass! Unless you're excercizing, also stay away from sport and energy drinks.

I have a 10 gallon tank and I have 6 fish. Little ones. I know that the perfect temperature to have in the tank is 74/76 degrees. Right now, since it's so hot where I am, it's up to 80. I've tried everything to get the temperature to go down to normal, icecubes, removing warm water and adding cold. The temperature will go down for a few minutes then it just shoots right back up! I have two questions: 1) Does anyone have any other ideas on keeping the tank cool other than what I've been trying? and 2) Is 80 degrees DANGEROUSLY high for my fish? They are regular fresh water tropical fish. I have 2 Neon Tetras, an Angelfish, a Honey Gourami and 2 Zebra Danios, if that helps any. Thanks in advance!
Yikes! Same prolem here...All I did was move the tank into an airconditioned room and kept it at around 75 degrees.
Since these fishies are pretty easy to keep alive don't worry about it too much, plus they're cheap, so if they did get Nemo #2!
Also, NO MORE ICE CUBES or COLD WATER!! That could shock the fish by creating cold spots in the water!

Hey. I was wondering, what is the best way to get highlights done...at a salon or at home using the highlighting kit. How long would it take if I were to get temporary highlights? How long would it last? How long would it take for the highlights to appear on my hair? I have like dark brown hair that looks black (I'm African American), and I was thinking of getting brown or light brown highlights. What do you guys think looks best?
P.S.: If I were to use the home highlighting kit, which is the best one?
Okay, if you've never done it befor I would sugest a salon! Also, if your hair is too thick of dark, home kits with dye won't even work on your hair, you need lightening gel or whatever it's called, which the salons specialize in. So i'm not going to reccomend any home kits, but I think light to medium brown would look super cute!

Hehe, honestly they aren't "sooooo much better" than any white skinned dude! :) But if you want to go out with him I sugest you take him to meet your parents so in case of stereotypes, if he's really a good guy, he can get rid of your parents predjudiced views. Or, if that won't work, why do your parents need to be that involved with your love life that they know who you're going out with??

I just started having my period i've had like 4 or 5. this one month it didn't come.(that whole week i spent it at the beach)is it normal to skip periods when you first have them? please help and no smart ass stuff i'll give 5's!!
Were you stressed out? Sometimes just worrying about your period can make it late, in your case, a whole month late! I've had my period for 2 years and sometimes It's 5,10,20 days late. It's normal I geuss, but a big pain! If you continued cycling semi-normally after that you should have nothing to worry about!

Before you try anything else have you tried "girl push-ups"? Just do 5 then do reps of somthing else then do 6 more, then do more reps of the other excercise then do 7 and so on until you can do 15 or 20 at once. When I first started cheerleading in 5th grade it worked for me!
If you can't do that though, you will need a bench and weights or a rowing machine. Go to Google and type in "pectoral exercises" and that will give you a list of sites that will show you what to do!

O.K. I am 13/f and my mom hooked me up with this REALLY hot 16 year old guy named Wesley about 2 weeks before my birthday. We met while my mom's employee brought him to the store that my mom works at. About 2 days later, we were going to a restaurant and we found out that coincidentally, they were headed to the same place. So we ended up eating TOGETHER! Me and Wesley talked about EVERYTHING. I like him and I could TELL he liked me. Well, the day of my birthday, someone planned a barbeque thing for cancer and Wesley came. He told me happy birthday and stuff. Well, after the barbeque thing, we went to the movies. I invited 9 people but barely ANYBODY came except my best friend Becka, and of course Wesley came too. Well, before the movie, I was throwing popcorn in his mouth and he was throwing it in my mouth and it was the FUNNEST time. We were seeing the "Ring 2". When the movie started, we were being really loud and having a REALLY great time. We ended up holding hands. He put his arm around me in the car but what bothered me the most was that he was ALSO putting his arm around Becka, my best friend. I was too bothered but I scooted closer to him so he would know that I like him more than she does. He held my hand until we got to his house. When we got there, we got out and went in and took a look around. Then, we went outside and Wesley picked up Becka and ran around with her. He did the same to me.
A month ago my mom found out something about him that really made me upset. She found out that he had sex with a 47 year old woman. She was really fat and short, too.

Yeah, they explained it in the 4th book. The Dark Mark is the tattoo type thing Lord Voldermort burned into the forarm of all the Death Eaters, so that when ever he touches anyone's mark, all of his Death Eaters are supposed to Apperate to him imediately. Also, the Mark had faded away when he first lost power, but had been steadily getting clearer on the arms of his followers as he was coming back.
