Changes in diet, travel, and stress can affect your periods...but it's most likely your hormones just trying to get a balance. There's nothing to worry about, though if you are concerned you can always talk to a parent or doctor. [ alisonmarie's advice column | Ask alisonmarie A Question ]

X_Amanda_X answered Monday August 1 2005, 3:43 pm: Yeah that's normal. When you first start, the first year is all akward because your hormones are raging. So yes this is perfectly normal.

xXxpinky615xXx answered Monday August 1 2005, 2:52 pm: The first few years you get your period, it will not be regular. It's absolutly nothing to be concerned about unless you were sexually active. It's NORMAL. I think just about all girls have had an irregular period at one point or another. My friend has had hers since she was 10 and is now 15 and it still isn't regular. But not to worry, in a few years it should be regular. If it doesn't with your mother's permission of course, you can see a gynocologist and they will check you out and possibly put you on birth control to regulate your period. But that's not something you should think about until you've had your period for a few years.

artistegirly answered Monday August 1 2005, 2:44 pm: Were you stressed out? Sometimes just worrying about your period can make it late, in your case, a whole month late! I've had my period for 2 years and sometimes It's 5,10,20 days late. It's normal I geuss, but a big pain! If you continued cycling semi-normally after that you should have nothing to worry about!
