Hey. I'm 13/female. I was wondering if there is a reason why I have a lot of trouble sleeping late, and staying up late. And why is it that I'm always tired? Also, most times I wake up a few times throughout the night/ very early morning, seemingly around the same times, and it takes anywhere from 5-20 minutes to fall back asleep? And, usually atleast once every 2 weeks I end up staying up very late because I can't sleep? It takes me on average atleast one hour to fall asleep, no matter how tired I am when I lay down. Is there something I can do to help this besides taking medicine?

Ah, welcome to being a teenager. That happened to me when I was your age, and it still hasn't stopped like three years later. According to my doctor, teenager's sleep schedule's naturally screwed. Try taking a warm bath. Or reading in bed. Or [it works for me, suprisingly] a cup of coffee.

okay well last night my boyfriend and i were having sex... we've been together for almost a year and love each other alot... my mom knows we're sexually active, and is okay with it because she knows we both love each other. okay so we were doing it... and we felt like a pop... so he pulled it out, and sure enough, it was broken. and i don't mean like a little hole, like actually broken- like it snapped and rolled back down his penis. it only went inside of me maybe 2 times (thats what he says, but i don't even think it was in once) and yeah the condom was completely off... it was hanging on to his penis by that little ring. so my period's due in a couple weeks, and i don't know if i should get an emergency contraceptive. my mom says don't; it's not necessary... my boyfriends freaking out, and i really don't know WHAT to do. also, he didn't cum inside of me or at all, but there was precum. i think it broke cause the condom was too small... he did have trouble getting it on. so does anyone know what i should do? Listen to your mom. She's the most experienced person in the situation. Wait for your period-- if it doesn't come, tell your mom and boyfriend, and take a test. Relax, though. Sometimes stress can mess up your cycle, and freak you out more.

It all depends on how long ago you've smoked the weed. Plus, they aren't testing for that-- they're testing for the hormone that pregnant women have alot of. I've had a pregnancy test before-- exept I got the pee in a cup one. :D ever so pleasant.

I'm currently in a relationship with a great guy, and it's been about 8 months now. We're living together.
I have to go away to work for the summer, and so does he; he's in the army reserves. We'll be apart for 3 months, which I was okay with.
This morning, though, he dropped a bombshell on me. Apparently he was asked if he wants to go to Afghanistan to work as a duty officer (it's an on-base job, pretty much staff rotation). We talked it over, and we agreed that it might be a good idea for us. The money will allow us to start our lives together, and it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I just can't get over my sadness at him being gone. He'll be gone for about a year and a half as of September. I'm willing to wait until the end of the earth for him, but I'm still really upset and worried for his safety.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? I guess I just need some words of inspiration to get me through this. (link)

Oh god, honey. I can't say it from the girlfriend's pov, but my brother's in the marines. He's been to all over the place. Most recently, it's been Djbouti, Africa for 9 months and he's leaving for Iraq in September.
You will miss him like all hell, I assure you. There will be alot of crying, and several days spent just moping around, but when it all comes down to it-- if he signed up already, there's no turning back. You just have to assure yourself he'll be safe, and if you're a religious person, pray. I was worried as all get out when my brother left for Afria, because the country he was in was AIDs/HIV infested-- but he came back perfectly fine. And that's what I have to trust will happen this time. He's gotten his training; his shots; everything important-- now you've just gotta hope everything'll be alright. Best of luck.

Other than the fact that most gum has a whoooole bunch of sugar in it? Nothing. Gum with lots of sugar in it can lead to cavities if you don't brush your teeth regularly. Remember to use stuff like Orbit and sugar free stuff if you're going to be doing alot of chewing.

Okay, so theres this girl that ive known for a year. and shes likee the biggest drama queen. so about a week ago, she goes and takes something out of my bag after i got up to throw something out.
and i notice how shes trying to make a run for her seat since she was at my table. so i was like..why are you going through my stuff? do i have to put a lock on my bag so people dont take things? and shes like mimiking me the whole time and was likee "shut up. who cares" all that immature bullish.

Tell her that as soon as she wants to fight, you'll be there. If you want it to stop, you have to stand up for yourself. Everyone says that bullies are just looking for a reaction-- but when you don't give them the answer they want [acting like a scared little dog] then they sort of have to step back. One time this girl did the exact same thing to me, and I told her if a fight is what she wanted, then we'd fight.
...She ended up with a black eye and several bruises and we both got two days of OSS.
Now, I'm not saying that you should automatically try that-- but ignoring it doesn't always work either. Isn't school almost over for you? Most of the schools down here have like, three days left. If it's not that long, just ignore her until summer break and go on about your business.
