I bloat a lot to where my stomach sticks out so far! It is embarassing. What are some ways to prevent bloating? Thank you.

Cut down on your sodium intake, and it will help with the bloating. Also, Green Tea pills will help with bloating and taking off water weight.

whats the best way to get rid of acne? more than just wash it everday..... any ideas or websites.x0x0 thanks

I suggest Maximum Strength Oxy pads, followed up with Clean n Clear moisturizer. Clean, but not dry.

And..do this TWICE a day at most. Overwashing will cause peeling/more acne.

CHI hair straighteners are supposed to be the best.

And I use a protective spray of the Redken brand, you should be able to find it at your salon for about 15 bucks. The only downside is that it smells like tree sap until you straighten your hair, the blowdryer doesn't get rid of it.

I would like teenagers to answer this one,

My daughter is 13. But the clothes she wears are not...happy. She always is sarcastic. She listens to strange, loud music. Is this the fashion these days? Should I let her be?

Let her be. Fashion wise, anyway. There's nothing I hate more than when my parents have something mean to say about the way I dress, how my hair looks, or how my makeup is done. The only time you should say anything about her fashion choices is if she looks good, as in, compliment her, or if she is going out in public in an outfit that screams "HEY PEDOFILES! COME RAPE ME, I HAVE A NICE ASS!"

Okay, well, I got my period back when I was 9 years old, and since then it was wicked heavy. Then a year ago, I stopped getting it. Yesterday was the first time in a year I did get it. I'm 15 years old, and 220-ish pounds. Is this a really big problem?

Well, your period doesn't just stop by itself. There is usually an underlying cause to that, and that cause may be the big problem.

Were you under a lot of stress or clinically depressed?

Did you lose or gain a substantial amount of weight in a relatively short amount of time?

Was there an event that caused anything serious, whether emotionally or physically?

If any of those questions come into play, you should see a doctor. Other than that, if your period remains being normal from now on, you should be okay. If it wavers again, I suggest seeing an doctor to see what might be going on with your cycle.

You could always replace the ring with a clear silicone piercing holder, but for the first six weeks its best you leave in the ring you had it pierced with. Getting a facial piercing (Or any piercing) without your parents permission isn't a good idea. Why won't your mom let you get one? How old are you? I'm sure there's a good reason, but if you're say, 15 or so, and she's just being close-minded, there is some amount of talking to her that you can do that might be able to convince her.

Your breasts could be done growing, or maybe they're not. Usually, it doesn't stop until you're arount twenty, but the growing majorly slows after your first period.

Number two sounds a lot like the symptoms of a bladder infection - if its painful when you pee, see a doctor right away. It could also be an overactive bladder, or a variety of other problems. I would definently try to call your doctor as soon as possible, to see whats going wrong.

Its very normal to have sex dreams about your crush, almost every girl has this at one time or another. Its no big problem, but you should try to keep that to yourself because its frowned upon, even though its normal.

If you have sex, especially unprotected, the girl CAN GET PREGNANT. There's factors that can vary the chances, but if you're going to have unprotected sex, PREPARE FOR THE CONSEQUENCES, not get worried AFTER because you're worried she might be pregnant.

ok so im getting braces this thursday but before that i need to make a decision whether to get the clear or colored ones. the clear ones are NOT invisilign just to let you know the clear ones are basically the same as the colored ecept they match the color of you teeth. now the thing is with the clear ones if you eat something like chocolate, your braces would turn brown which i dont really want to happen but they say it doesnt happen if you brush your teeth a lot (which i do) but like in school if i have like a chocalate bar or something i cant brush my teeth in school and the other thing is pratically all my friends have the colored ones and i really havent seen many people with the clear ones.
can someone help me figure out what to decide?

I vote go for the colored ones. The clear ones may look pretty good at first, but they ARE still noticable, and by a couple of weeks the rubberbands start to turn yellow, and no amount of brushing will fix that. Since you get your bands changed usually every six weeks, you're stuck with yellow braces for 2-3 weeks. Colored ones are what most people have because of the yellowing factor of the "clear" ones, and they're also fun because you can get the colors changed to suit your mood, for what holiday is coming up, to match an outfit you're going to wear to a school dance, anything like that.

ok so lately after i dry then straighten my hair and go to brush it and its really staticy and starts like sticking up..is there anyway to stop it from sticking? thanks so much!!

Stick a dryer sheet on your hairbrush and cut around it so it fits to the size of your brush. The bristles should be sticking through it, and the dryer sheet should be up against the back of the brush. It combats static and also if you get the scented kind, makes your hair smell really good. (I'm not kidding, it really works. Just make sure you're not allergic to them)

I know that knitting isn't really home decorating, but it's the closest I can find.

How can you learn to knit faster? I'm a slow knitter, but with all my work, the time I save for knitting is sparse. Therefore, I can never finish a project in time. Are there any other knitters on this site?

The more you knit, the faster you'll get. You'll eventually get to the point where you can knit quickly, and without looking. Good luck!

Ive been anorexic only for a few weeks and Im supposed to get my period and Im not. What happens if you dont get your period? is it unhealthy? can it affect having babies in the future??

Not having your period is a sign that your body is already shutting down.

But other than that, not having your period doesn't make you unhealthy.

Being anorexic is whats unhealthy. You need to stop, and if you are past the point where you cannot stop on your own you need to tell a parent or counselor.

You may think that this is going to somehow help you with what you're unhappy with (Usually your weight) but in the long run, it will not. You have the chance of getting extremely sick or even dying when you are skinny, and if you don't die from that and you get over your anorexia, your body will be very out of whack and the chances of you gaining more weight than you started is high. The way to do it is through sensible eating and exercise. Thats all. I don't exactly know whats going on, but just for you I'm going to whip out one of my favorite quotes that may have an impact on you as it did me, and maybe see why Anorexia isn't the path to anything good or right.

You have sex, you have the posibility of getting pregnant unless you or your partner are sterile.

I didn't know what to put this under because it's a pretty strange question.
How can you hide a lip piercing? I'm getting my lip pierced off center to the left but my step dad can't know I have it. My mom will let me but if my step dad finds out then I have to tell my dad and my dad will make me take ALL of my piercings out.

They make short, clear plastic rings/barbells that you can put in there that will hold the hole open, but aren't visible.

If your stepdad is going to be up close to you, its not going to work so well, you'll be able to see.

If your mom is letting you do this without your stepdad's permission, something is messed up in the system. Maybe if your mom doesn't mind it, you and her could talk to your step dad about how it isn't that big of a deal and maybe come up with some agreements such as you'll put in a clear bar/ring when you go out with him and such.
