New Years Eve, aka tomorrow night is my friend Lisa's birthday. She is throwing a small party that starts at three thirty. My friend Jenny and I want to go to another party that is kind of late at night. Lisa never really articulated when her party was over and doesn't really seem to express interest in late night stuff. So me and Jenny are confused if it's rude to leave her party at 11 or so to go to the other one because we really, really, really don't want to hurt Lisa's feelings.

Ask her if it would be alright! She might even say, 'Oh, my party ends at 10 anyway!' you never know!

I'm 15/f in highschool and I know this girl who is pregnant. This isn't about wether its right or wrong, but, she's 15 also, and in my grade. I've known her since 4th grade(just about). She just found out she was pregnant, and I'm on good terms with her and everything, but were not best friends. Y'know? I was thinking I should go up to her and tell her that if she needs anything, I'd be there for her. Should I? Would it be inappropiate? -Sarah

That is a GREAT idea! Maybe to cheer her up you could bring her her favorite candy sence she'll be very very hungry! You only want whats best for her, she'll understand:)

i dont know what to put this under but oh well, i like reading alot... and i have 8 or so new books upstairs in my bedroom i havent read. To you that might sound like a lot of books but beleive me they go by fast... and so recently my family has been broke... i mean like dead broke $5.00 broke! and when i finish all those books i think instead of buying books im just gonna go to the library... but i want to know some names of REALLY good books!!

im a 14/f...i weigh bout 105...yea i knoe its not so much...im trying to gain some weight too...and well this school year i started cheerleading...my arms had gotten a bit big...but i want them bigger!..nd my calvs are still small...i want them bigger!!..and most of all..i want abs!...i want my belly to look like beyoncez in tha new music video soldier...if anyone knows any exercises i kan do at home...to get my self looking good by this spring/summer please give me sum advice!

Okay, well crunchs like 100 of them before you go to bed is harsh but it works! Also, if do some gymnastic activities that'll help too! Hope I helped!

.....***** im here again and yes, yes we have used to pet names almost all the time when refurring to eachother, and i knew who he liked last year and i also found out that he liked me at 1 time too.... but im not sure if he still does or if he is still flirting... i cant really talk to my friends about this because it just feels akward (like talking to ur parents about sex ed.) but i might talk to some1 about it..... but not telling them that i like him!... and i will definetly ask him to hang out (thankx for that help) but i just dont know wut to do to find out with out asking!!!....i need major advce and i do rate!

I'm also glad that you're going to hang out with him.See how he acts when you hang out...does he flirt, does he act like he's cooler, i think you could tell the difference! The more you hang out with him the more you have the chances of him liking you! Also, if you did stop using the pet names, out of no where start calling him that name...he'll realize you still care about him! Some good ones to laugh are Shark Tale, it may be rated G but it's great and fun! Also, if any of your friends might have read any of the Lemony Snicket books the movie was alright, and Elf is another great one!

alright..... i am 12 years old and im friends wiht this guy.... hes alway's like...."we sould hang out and become better friends!"..and i say,"yeah!" and we have "pet" names for eachother but where only friends.... and i think hes so much fun and really atractive + he was the 1 who thought of the pet names and hangn out idea's. we talk about n e thing thats everything!..we're both shy!... but i cant tell if hes flirting with me...(he is always complementing me and stuff like that)..but im not sure if hes juat kidding!!

Okay, first off if you want to know if he's flirting, ask your closest and best friend if you think he is. Also, how far did the 'pet names' go, or was it more nicknames. From what you've told me, it seems like hes got a crush on you! Start to actually do those plans to hang out, the more he will tell you about his life...including crushs! This happens all the time to everybody, don't worry! I've not been invited to plenty of parties, life goes on. You'll feel reject and awkward around the party planner but life moves on. Don't worry! Everything will be alright, your friends are always there for you!

I just met a girl named Lindsay this year we're not very close but we still talk. We went to the consession stand and she just bought a water. I told her she needs to eat..but she says she doesn't eat lunch. She told me that she hasn't eaten lunch or breakfast since the 6th grade and we're in the 9th now. She also told me that she takes diet and energy pills over the counter..which is really bad. She wants to be 100lbs and she's like 120 right now and she's about 5'3 or something..which is healthy I guess. She also told me her parents don't notice or care..but I don't beleive that. I'm afraid this might lead to anorexia or some other serious disorder..but she said she wouldn't..again I don't beleive that. I don't know what to do..every time I tell her to change she's like "What are you my mom!?". What should I do?

You are totally right! First off, ask her why she wants to be that skinny? Find out the reason first! Also, tell a doctor, they might know whats going on, and maybe you can even get her to come into the doctors office! Obviously, something is worng with her, talk to someone who does have power. ok...my ex b/f told me yesterday that he liked me again..hes a year younger then me and i dont see him that much anymore..we are supposed to go to the movies together on friday, but i dont want it to be akward for him...i dont mind that much cause i dont like him like that, but i dont know what to tell him...how do i make him feel better?

When you're there,have a great time! But give off hints like saying 'I'm so glad we're FRIENDS again' or 'Being FRIENDS has been great' but hang out with him, don't go farther :)

those names are not the real names of people. i just made them up since you don't really want real names revealed. but anyway...
i'm gwen and my best friend in the whole world's name is sally. she has another best friend, molly. molly and sally have known eachother since they were born! their families are really close. they go on vacations together, they go to eachother's house practically everyday, and if you're wondering, they obviously live on the same street. they've been great --- no, BEST --- friends for a very, very long time. they've lived near eachother all their life, and they've gone to the same school all their life (i'm pretty sure). as you can see, they're incredibly close. aside from all that, they have lots of common likes and dislikes. one thing i know they both like is sports.
as for me, i don't really like sports. i do things like dance and lacrosse has always seemed really fun to me (though i've never tried it), but i know that i'm a real girly-girl at heart. anyway...
in 5th grade i, gwen, met sally. i knew we were perfect for eachother...because sometimes sally can have that really girly side of herself revealed. so we clicked just like that and became really really really good friends.
now molly isn't very happy about this; she LOVES sally and will never let her go. she doesn't believe in two best friends. she does like me as a friend, but she surely won't let me take sally away from her. so we grew apart a little. then over the summer, we remembered how great a team we were, and became...believe it or not...best friends. she even said so herself. then molly got a little frustrated, not mad, but frustrated. so she always said things like: "i know you have gwen, but you will always be my best friend and nobody can take that away. but i know that deep down you believe that, too..." and then molly and sally started to fight. the reason was that sally thought that molly was too controlling, she was always bossing sally around and telling her what to like or to not like. that's when sally really clinged onto me, trying to make molly feel bad. and she did! but molly said the same thing: "you'll always be my best friend."
today, molly and sally aren't fighting anymore. sally asked me for help in the problem and all the two slowly and carefully worked things out with my guidance. but in my heart i know that i really love sally, she's the greatest person, i can talk to her about absolutely everything, and she's just the perfect best friend that anybody could have. how am i supposed to keep in touch [stay best friends] with sally if she's too busy hanging out with molly?

Wow, you must really feel so confused! First off, get to be good friends with 'Molly'. Don't invite yourself over or anything, but invite her places, just as much as you do with 'Sally'. Then she'll she what a great person you are and let down the gaurd a little bit at a time! Before you know it, you, 'Molly', and 'Sally' will all be best friends together!

This is so embarrassing but i feel like my breath smells really bad all the time... i brush and use listerine twice a day and still cant get rid of it. Is there any good products out there or any suggestions on what to do? I don't think gum would help that much.

Okay, first off, if your boyfriend is the same age as you-HE'S the one with the problem! Deffinently talk to him, but if he keeps on looking confront him saying, 'What are you doing??' whenever you see him looking @ them/for them. Maybe he might tell you what he's doing then! :) Hope I helped!

Okay, first you have to get over what you friends think. Next, try to make friend with him...if he doesn't want to be friends than that's a bad sign, try to like somebody else. BUT if he does get interested that's a GREAT sign! But you never know if he just wants to be friends so don't do anything for a while. And if he doesn't show any signs of liking you than sorry! But if he does flirt get up the confidence and ask if he likes you...I can't help from there!

I am an 11 year old 6th grader and I have a really close friend. When we are together we have a bunch of fun. But at Recess she plays with other friends and ignores me like im not even there. She sometimes even pushes me out of the way and acts like a snob.And then when we are together we have sooo much fun. Does she think i am a loser and dont have friends? Well, many people are like this. Some times you need to confront them or do the very oppisite! Sometimes the best thing to do is ignor her. Most of the time you guys are just getting tired of eachother! Take a break, but DO NOT IGNOR HER! Just don't be w. her 24/7 ya' know? But if she's at a friends house be friendly. If she ignors you still then @ whosevers house than just keep on being friendly. Don't ask 'Why did you...' just get off the subject! :)Good Luck!

i know its stupid but all my friends and other guys in my grade keep giving me crap about the guy i'm going out with. i love him so much. and he means the world to me. i hate it when people give me this crap though. and one of my friends that i thought was my friend did something that she "claims" she didn't do. its a long story, but i didn't think she'd do it. i don't know how to handle it. please help me. i need to know what to say to people when they give me this crap. thanks in advance. i rate high.
