I have this guy friend that i used to like. He's nice and all and we talk on email a lot. Then he said that my best friend (basically my "sister") and her (really cool) guy cousin sucked at hockey, were wimps, adn were on steriods because they talk funny. I was about to cuss him out but then i maintained control because they are two of my best friends. I really got pissed when he said that her guy cousin was on steriods. REALLY pissed. There is this woman at work who really is being rude to me.
The managers all like her, and I tried telling one of them that she was really being rude, and they all jumped on me.

I just downloaded quicktime 6.5 a few days ago and it's been working fine up until today. The video works fine but the audio is skipping a great deal. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it again but it didn't help. Anyone had a similar problem and a way to fix it? Any suggestions would be helpful. (link)

Well, it really depends on what kind of video your'e watching. If you are streaming then it could be your internet connection is too slow. If your'e watching a video on your computer then it's probly because you do not have enough RAM.
But, as one other columnist said, having an Apple helps.

I have music playing out of my PC and I have NO IDEA where it's coming from!! I'm not sure when it started because I left the PC while it was starting up. There's nothing on the toolbar, desktop or when I press ctrl alt + delete that suggests music - there's nothing that isn't normally there. It's almost like a radio station. I've checked my CD drive, media player and there are no pop ups or anything this music could be coming from. Does anyone have any idea what it is or how I could stop it?

I received a Mini-Ipod for Christmas. The instructions read that you need Windows 2000 or higher. Only problem is: I have Windows 98. So does this mean I have to upgrade my computer to Windows 2000 or higher? If yes, is it expensive to buy the program? Or do I have to buy a whole new computer for it to work? Yeah, it is expensive. Not only to buy Windows XP, but to upgrade your computer just so it will run it. You might have to drop another 40 bucks to install enough RAM to run XP.

That is the worst load of gibberish I have seen in a while. WinMx doesn't put music on cd's it merely lets you download music off the net. Itunes is a free program by Apple that lets you preveiw tracks and download them for 99 cents each. And you can also burn cd's with it too.

When i burn my music to a CD-RW, my computer closes the cd, there for making it a cd-r. how can i stop it from closing the cd? (link)

If you saw an ipod mini for 150 bucks then get me one and I'll pay you back. It could not have been that cheap, you're talking about $250. You use Itunes to download the music and then load it onto the Ipod. It comes with both Usb and Firewire. I'm pretty sure about Firewire anyway.

Me and my husband have just moved into a new house...well, I say new, but it's actually ANCIENT. So ancient that we have no heating whatsoever!! The place was so expensive though that we can't afford to install heating for at least another year. The windows and doorways are all draughty too. So, my question is, as it is so cold at the moment, any tips of keeping warm other than the obvious 'put on another jumper'? (link)

If the place has gas you could put in space heaters. Thats not as expensive as central heating.

OK, my family is getting rid of AOL, which has my aol e-mail account. Through that account, I have my AIM screenname. I don't want to lose that screenname, because everyone knows it and it will be a hassle. How can I keep the AIM screenname even though I am deleting the corresponding e-mail account? (link)

No, I don't think there is a way you can keep it. Save you buddy list and then load it to a new name.

My computer sucks.
Everytime I try to go onto any site that has anything run by Java, IE just shuts down. It doesn't say that anything is wrong, it doesn't give me an error pop-up or anything.
I've tried re-reinstalling Java. That worked for a week.
I've also tried downloading Firefox, thinking there might be something wrong with IE. But it does the same exact thing.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening or how I could fix it? (link)

for any of you on AIM.. there's a virus going around saying "PICS ON THE BEACH" and it gives a website.. i accidentally clicked it because someones profile popped up while viewing a website, and now i have this virus and i have no idea how to get rid of it! it pops up as an away message, and i tried using my anti-virus software, and it won't let me use it! i used my ad-aware and it said i had nothing! does anybody know how to get rid of it ? im me if u need to see the thing (shad 0 w x5) ..
