I received a Mini-Ipod for Christmas. The instructions read that you need Windows 2000 or higher. Only problem is: I have Windows 98. So does this mean I have to upgrade my computer to Windows 2000 or higher? If yes, is it expensive to buy the program? Or do I have to buy a whole new computer for it to work? Please only answer this question if you know what you're talking about. Thank you so much!

It will cost a lot of money to do this but its well worth it. I recomend if your running 98 buy a new computer, your comp is getting outta date now and i would say, its time to upgrade. theblondeone989 answered Saturday January 1 2005, 5:59 pm: No, you shouldn't need to buy a new computer. You can buy upgrade software at most electronic stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.). When I upgraded my old computer to XP, it was around 100 dollars. Good luck! [ theblondeone989's advice column | Ask theblondeone989 A Question ]

Karen answered Saturday January 1 2005, 5:38 pm: Nope, you don't need a whole new computer. Upgrading your computer to Windows 2000 or higher is just like installing a game to your computer. It's a CD and you can buy it at Circuit City, Best Buy, and places like that. I don't know exactly how much it costs but I do know that Windows XP costs at least $100.00 (It costs $100.00 at Target so that's how I know) so it should be around that price. Hope I helped :)
