Mini-Ipod

Question Posted Saturday January 1 2005, 5:36 pm

I received a Mini-Ipod for Christmas. The instructions read that you need Windows 2000 or higher. Only problem is: I have Windows 98. So does this mean I have to upgrade my computer to Windows 2000 or higher? If yes, is it expensive to buy the program? Or do I have to buy a whole new computer for it to work? Please only answer this question if you know what you're talking about. Thank you so much!

Yeah, it is expensive. Not only to buy Windows XP, but to upgrade your computer just so it will run it. You might have to drop another 40 bucks to install enough RAM to run XP.

Yes, you need to pay money, get windows XP its gunna be about 150 dollars to get, but your running outta compatbility on alot of good programs for your computer. It will cost a lot of money to do this but its well worth it. I recomend if your running 98 buy a new computer, your comp is getting outta date now and i would say, its time to upgrade.

No, you shouldn't need to buy a new computer. You can buy upgrade software at most electronic stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.). When I upgraded my old computer to XP, it was around 100 dollars. Good luck!

Nope, you don't need a whole new computer. Upgrading your computer to Windows 2000 or higher is just like installing a game to your computer. It's a CD and you can buy it at Circuit City, Best Buy, and places like that. I don't know exactly how much it costs but I do know that Windows XP costs at least $100.00 (It costs $100.00 at Target so that's how I know) so it should be around that price. Hope I helped :)
