Java and stuff. My computer sucks.
Everytime I try to go onto any site that has anything run by Java, IE just shuts down. It doesn't say that anything is wrong, it doesn't give me an error pop-up or anything.
I've tried re-reinstalling Java. That worked for a week.
I've also tried downloading Firefox, thinking there might be something wrong with IE. But it does the same exact thing.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening or how I could fix it?

Ok, here's the deal: If you have installed the SUN Java JRE package, go into add and remove programs... Remove as many installs as you find. You see, when you upgrade it leaves the old one there. Then, re-install the latest JRE, and you should be ok.
Also make sure you have run the basics an on-line virus scan:

...and Adaware if you don't already have it:

Let me know how you do,

Sounds like you either don't have enough RAM or CPU or both. ]
it sounds like you have a virus, maybe take it to a computer store thing ]
i have firefox and java works for me. i had the old internet and it would like just freeze so my brother told me about firefox. you should own load spyware and get rid of all the vireses and it should work. ]
This has happened to me plenty of times and your security or cookie settings are probably wrong. That usually is the cause of these problems. Go to Tools, then to Internet Options, then click on the Security or Privacy tabs and adjust the settings. If this doesn't work, then you probably have a virus of some sort but it's probably your privacy settings. Hope I helped :)
