Mozilla Firefox
my step-dad made me download mozilla firefox because it is supposed to be better than microsoft internet explorer.. so my question is.. is it really better? and i also am having a problem seeing my mail on optium online

I use it, and prefer it. But it's like the argument between Linux and Windows. It's all preference. Personally, I like how I'm less likely to get spyware, adware, pop-ups, and all that annoying shit. I'd like to meet the guy who thought up all that and stab him in the eye.

I also have firefox..its better yes and faster but it wont let you go to pages that are only for internet explorer..i think its pretty good but i would keep IE too

your stepdad is a smart man. Firefox blocks alot of the crap that you get with IE.
If you are having trouble opening optium mail in Firefox then just use IE to read that mail, but overall Firefox is much safer to use for random browsing than IE.

My brother uses Mozilla Firefox, so I asked him. It has less pop-ups, so it's harder to get spyware. You don't have to have multiple windows up, you can tab them and have all of them in one window. If there's anything else you need to know, just send me something. ♥ Kristen

It is like anything else, if you learn how to use it, it is a marvelous thing. There are a few websites you will need to use IE with, but they are getting fewer and fewer as firefox takes off.
I set it to open new links in a new window, not a tab. That works for me.

I have it aswell. Yes it better but the problem is that when you want to go on a website you always have to click ok which if your in a rush can sometimes get in your way, Its harder to get sent viruses if your on mozilla firefox, were as normal microsoft is really easy at catching viruses.

Before I got this new computer, I had so many pop ups etc.and my IE had about blank in there and wouldn't let me go ANYWHERE. I downloaded firefox and was amazed that it cut WAY down on all that.And I could actually surf the net. It was great. I think you will like it.

i had to use mozilla for a while. and i hated it. i thought it sucked. but hey, some people like it better. just try it out and see which you like better.

I have FireFOx.. I am using it right now also.. it isn't really any different except you have to re download shockwave and flash player..!

Well considering that fact that its much less likely to get any spyware on it. And that it has tab functions. I would say Firefox is much better than IE.

i didn't like it.
Hard to explain why, other than, im just used to internet explorer....
but, to be fair, I did only use it for two days. I still think it sucked.

In my opinion, yes, Mozilla FireFox is better than the regular Internet Explorer. There are easier ways to view the sources of sites and there aren't any of those pop ups when using Mozilla and it's just better.

i have mozilla firefox and personally i think its BETTER than the internet.. you dont have to keep pulling up pages after pages if you have to be on multiple pages at once. you can just double click on the bar under your links and its all on one page for you. also its alot safer than the internet.. you dont get threats unlike on explorer..also if you accidentally x out of a tab you can undo it to where it comes right back up to the page that you were at.

It's not the best with html, but I love it anyway. No pop ups and it works great. IE was just driving me crazy. I started using it a couple of days ago my cousin recommended it to me and I don't regret it and Love him for it. If you really want just download IE as well so you have both.

ur right. mozilla firefox isnt that great! its hard to see a lot of HTML on websits and it can get annoying. if i were you, id get internet explorer.
