Napalm350z answered Friday November 26 2004, 2:46 pm: Sounds to me like you have a driver problem.
Make sure you have the correct drivers, and it could also be the software. And if you know for sure that it isn't closed, then you need to get a CD-RW burner. [ Napalm350z's advice column | Ask Napalm350z A Question ]

evilgogeta answered Tuesday October 5 2004, 2:15 pm: There should be something in the options menu to change that. I could be more specific if i knew what cd burning program you're using. [ evilgogeta's advice column | Ask evilgogeta A Question ]
MFS answered Tuesday October 5 2004, 12:00 pm: There is usually either a setting in the preferences menu of your burning software, or a dialog box/area on the actual interface when the burning software is open. I'd look in both places. I have a 2 version old install of Easy CD Creator, and the option of whether or not I close (finalize) a CD is right there in the bottom right-hand corner of the CD record interface panel. DruidX answered Tuesday October 5 2004, 11:52 am: I assume by 'CD-r' you mean that it makes it only readable, not re-writable? That shouldn't be happening. Even if you close the CD, if it was RW, it should remain so. Your writing programe should have an option to erase/ or blank rewritable CDs, and if it doesn't then you might need to update the programe you use.
As for not closing CDs, when the write dialogue pops up there should be an option somewhere to not close the CD. [ DruidX's advice column | Ask DruidX A Question ]
TrUtH_hUrTs_1 answered Tuesday October 5 2004, 11:18 am: usually it gives you the option to close it. If it doesnt, then you may have a problem. But it is better if you close it- you can play it on more stuff. Why wouldnt you want to?
