Just ask him in person if he wants to go out sometime...its better in person because you can make it casual when you talk to him. He'll know you have confidence and you wont sound desperate. So I liked one of my really good friends.. *jake*. Today my friend *amy*, his really really best friend told me that i liked him.. he said that he doesn't really want to have a girlfriend this year (which was not wat i was going for anyway... i just like him.. and i seriously dont care bout that), and he asked me if im okay and i said that i was and i was still smiling and stuff.. but when amy got off the bus he was all looking at me funny and i said "why are you looking at me funny?" and he said "first you were my best friend and now you like me and im never gonna look at you the same again." That bothered me. Mucho. So i said that i just liked him a little and (which i only DID like him a little)it wasn't an obsession (which is what a lot of boys tend to think)... then i had to get off the bus.
How do I get him to act normal around me again??
Also how do i get it through to him that i didn't like him that much.. basically i was leaning toward getting over him cuz i liked him last year more.

aww im sorry you have to go through this...well you just act like it never happened and be your old self with him. Be same person you were around him as oyu were before. Find some other guy to like and maybe talk about him a little to jake just to give him the message that you dont like him. im sure things will get back to normal fast, there just might be a few awkward moments but just be yourself:-)

Why do so many young women on this site ask questions regarding how to staighten curly or wavy hair? Having natural curls is enviable, all you girls get some serum or mousse and leave them straightening irons alone! You'll have more time to stay in bed each morning, and your hair will thank you.

Well almost all women hate their hair. its a part of life, i guess. girls with straight hair want it curly, girls with curly hair want it straight. i myself have straight hair and i simply ADORE curly hair. i guess its just a strange world were living in:-)

I am in no way fat...i just have very muscular legs. I really would like to be able to wear skirts that look good, but everything just seems to make my legs look bigger. Anyone know of a certain cut/style of a jean skirt that can be hot and flirty but make my legs look slimer?

When you wair high heeled shoes it makes your legs skinnier. but i think that muscular legs are beautiful, so dont be afraid to show them off:-) good luck!

ok im 13/F and my school dance is coming up, it's on friday 9/30/05 and i really want to go and a lot of ppl want me to go but my friend Halle wants to come over my big nice new house cuz i moved in a couplle weeks ago and all,well me and her have been planning for her to come over for over a week now and i really want her to come over but i really want to go to the dance on friday.the dance is 7:00 to 9:30 and her mom won't drive her over to my new house because it's dark and she won't be able to follow the directions that my mom has or will be giving her. I dont know what to do,what should i do?¿?¿? can someone please help me i rate 5's on good advice.

maybe she should come home with you from school then you go to the dance together and her mom picks her up there. or her mom will drop her off at the dance and then she sleeps over so her mom can drive in the morning when its light out. if she doesnt want to go the dance, i guess you just have to invite her saturday. hope it helped:-)

i think bulimia is when you binge, like eat A LOT, and then you feel guilty about it and you think you will get fat, so you make yourself throw up(by stciking your finger down your throat or put some kind of bad stuff in your body so youll throw up). you dont think theres antoher way to get rid of the calories so you throw up. then you get hungry later and you eat a lot and it starts over. thats what one of my friends went through and she got so sick it was really sad:-/

Is it normal to want to go out shopping by myself if I'm only 15. I really just want to go out and have a fun time-by myself-at the mall, just shopping and browsing without having to entertain anyone. But I dont know if that would be weird, seeing as the mall has alot of ppl my age in it (and some that know who I am) if they just see me walking by myself, would you think I was a loser with no one to shop with? Because I really just want to go out shopping. I dont want it to sound like a conceited question, but I'm really just wondering!

lol i always do! i take forever when i shop and my friends get really annoyed with me so i just shop by myself. so i'll like shop for an hour by myself and then shop with my friends. i think its totally cool to shop with yourself and if other poeple think your loser its their problem:-)

Yeah, what pinky615 said, and it has more heat settings too i think. its more expensive than the the normal straghteners but in the end its worth it because it doesnt damage your hair as much and it straitens your hair better.

honey you really need to talk to someone. there must be a big issue your dealing with that led you down this path. i cant relate to what your going through, but its important to talk to someone, like your counsiler. theres more than one path to get out of this. i cant think of anything else to say, but i really hope you can get over this. there are many poeple who care about you who would want to help. if you wanna talk, you know where i'll be:-)

okay well i was wondering how much does it cost to permanently straighten your hair by a professional hairstylist. i have really curly hair and i want it straight. and do you have any suggestions on what to ask for to get it straight by the hairstylist.. like the Japanese thing or what ever it is.. thanks

My friend got it done and it was around $200-$300 dollars. it was a lot, but it looked beautiful. just tell the hairstylist you want it permanantly strait. i dont know if theres more than one way to get it straightened, but you should talk to your hairstylist and she'll know what will look the best on you. good luck& hope it helps:-)

Its all about following your heart. obviously, you love john, and i think you should be with him. I know that going out with the hottest guy in the school feels great, but you only like him for his looks. if you dont go back with john, you may spend the rest of your life wondering how it would've been like. you are not missing out if you go back together with him because there will always be many other hot guys out there to date after. but theres only one john:-)

Always pads are pretty good but BUY THE ONES WITH WINGS. gotta have the wings lol. also tampax compact are the best kind of tampons(in my opinion) because their so small. Now if you just started your period, you should use the light to regular kinds. remember you should use pads for 3-4 hours and tampons for 4-8 hours. Use whichever you are more comfortable with.

No i'm sorry ive been looking around for one too, but since it just came out, the 4gb is $250 everywhere and holds 1000 songs. maybe if you wait a while it will go down.
The 2gb, which holds 500 songs, is around like $199. Personally, i dont want that one so i am willing to spend more for more memory, but its up to you:-)

added info: oh wow lol. i just checked http://search.ebay.com/ipod-nano_W0QQfromZR40 and the 4gb is $160 so nevermind...happy shopping!

It sounds like hes just shy, which means you have to make the first move. When you go home just put your arm around him and give him a quick sqeeuze before you go. Chances are he'll hug you back. If he doesnt, keep working at it everyday until he comfortable hugging. If he still doesnt, you really should ask him why. But i'm sure he'll hug you back, i mean hes your boyfriend!

I've had a cast on my wrist for almost three weeks, and I'm thinking about cutting it off. It's really soft, so it doesn't help that much, and basically just gets in the way. Would take it off really be very bad for it? I only fractured it, and they expect me to wear it for six weeks. I'm ready to go back to football and not have to worry about the stupid thing. Is three weeks long enough for a fractured wrist to heal enough?

no im sorry its dangerous if you take it off because you could break it easily again and like sk8trash said it could grow all deformed. And if you broke it again youd again have to wear a cast for even more then six weeks so your better safe then sorry:-) But maybe you could go to the doctor and ask them if you can take it off earlier and they can check if your arm has already healed yet.

laughing: you should laugh and then make the person immitate you. then watch a funny show and whenever the person laughs make sure they laugh like you showed them to.

acne: clearsil acne wash and moisterizer works great! toothpaste sometimes works too, when theres a small area you want to get rid of then you just put it on and leave it overnight. Or a face mask out of eggs and a little bit of lemon, which you leave on for 15 min the wash off. And then theres coverup.

teeth: crest whitening strips or brushing them really hard with a whitening toothpaste is all i can think of.

They flirt a lot, touch you, act hyper around you, laugh a lot, and stare at you. If you smile at them theyll smile back. Or they will be extremly shy around you and blush a lot. Usually its pretty obvious:-)
