Hey, I'm Mara. I love dancing. It's practically my favourite thing to do. I love House, R&B, pretty much everything with a good beat, and Benny Benassi is my hero; that's why my column is a shrine to him. I graduated this year and am now in my first year of college where I'm trying to pick a major. Chances are you'll see some of my Psychology questions floating around somewhere here. I'm also extremely interested in Political Science too because I, like half the people living in Canada, somehow want to change the world. I particularly want to find a cure for poverty, corruption, cancer, AIDS and George Bush because honestly, I think those are the biggest problems we have right now. I have decided that maybe I should take the time to live a little before I start though because I have a good fifty years ahead of me to fix all the issues there are. Currently my life consists of: studying, working, socializing, eating and ocassionaly sleeping. I spent practically all of my high school life being a delinquent and partying to huge extents until I discovered my brain sometime in the middle of my senior year. I still like to have a good time every once in a while but you always need to find that balance (I haven't exactly found it yet but I'm getting close). Unfortunatley, a habit that has stuck with me from school is my obsessive gossiping. I just can't stop and you know, an article in Cosmo says that gossipers are healthier people because they bond over it? Who would have thought? Anyway, I do have my limitations and I don't condone nasty, brutal gossiping and I don't gossip about anything my friends have told me in confidence or something about someone else that they have slipped to me, however, if I find you in a washroom at a random party making out with my bestfriends's boyfriend, a few people are probably going to hear about it. Actually, more than a few people will hear about it because one of my absolute pet peeves is parties where the all the bathrooms are occupied due to sexual activity or... puking activity. Sooooo what else is there to know about me? My favourite thing in the world is shopping and my worst fear is existantialism. I am OCDey in a clinical way so you can ask me questions about that. You can ask me practically anything you want except for dumb questions but I'm not going to answer them in my little column here because it's a huge waste of space when I could be writing about myself (Click 'LookIt' on my menubar for answers to dumb questions so you don't have to embarass yourself asking them and getting bitched out from me). What I can do, is offer you three pieces of truly inspirational advice. Firstly, never live your life by what others want of you, cherish yourself and everyone around you, and never beat yourself down about anything you couldn't have avoided. Secondly, donate at least ten percent of the income you earn in your life to someone who needs it. Lastly, never get into a bulldozer when you're under the influence and start driving it towards a poor freshmen (I am never going to another kegger ever again... ever). Ok, I'll shut up now. You can start asking me stuff, if you haven't hit the back button already.

DearAbby got it right. It's a bag filled with water used to "clean out" your vagina. What she didn't say was that it was extremely unhealthy. You vagina has its own way of cleaning itself, pumping water into it leaves it vunerable to infections and the like.

I don't think you can buy them at the store and if you wait till the concert, they'll all be sold out.
I'd say buy them off ticket master, you can get some higher level seats for fifty bucks plus taxes and services.

All the floor seats are gone for Denver but first level seatings are still available. Just get a presale code.

Okay, so you may have seen the question about a week ago, but I'll fill you in. I'm a 14/f and a freshman.
The guy I like is a senior, and we are 4 years and 3 months apart in age. I REALLY like him a lot. He's not that cute, but he's nice and funny, AND he's a gentlemen.

It's harsh but you should move on. Four years apart is a huge difference especially in high school and he might not want to risk getting teased by his friends even if he does like you.

Just up the cardio. Like swimming is an amazing way to lose weight.
Pretty much anything that gets your heart rate up like skipping, going on the stairmaster/crosstrainer, biking, dancing et cetera. Do anything for at least 30 minutes each day (or at least an hour every other day) and you should see results in two to three weeks.

1) This is how you can tell if a guy likes you - Does he look at you all the time? Does he try to get your attention? Does he talk to his/your friends about you? Is he interested in your activities and your opinions on things? While people are having conversations, does he constantly look at you to judge your reaction? Does he keep finding excuses to touch you? Does he buy you things or give you his food (food is important to guys)? Does he unexpectedly show up when you're somewhere? Does he spend all his time telling jokes to make you laugh or try to score in sports to try to impress you? If he does more that one of these, in all probability, he likes you.
2) He seems interested. You should flirt a little more to draw him out.

ok despite wat is told 2 us in health class i still have the doubt. ok well my bro has been doing EX since october. nothing serious, hes done it 7 times since then so maybe like once a month. cept the problem is hes convinced that the only way EX can kill you is if you get dehydrated or if you drink too much water. im not sure. last friday he took 7 hits of it. and that kinda worries me, he blocked out from 5-8 so he only remembers wat happened to him loosey. he has bruises and stuff like that so he was jumping around or fell down the stairs or something. he was too high to remember wat was going on. so if anyone actually knows the affects of EX or whether or not it can harm u pleaze tell me. and dont tell me to tell my parents becuz i wont. im not like that. he trusts me to keep it a secret. i just wanna help him myself.

Your brother seems too have to much faith in himself. Yes, the chances of dying by doing it only a few times is slim. If you die, you're either overhydrated, dehydrated, took a tainted pill or are the one in a billion person who is allergic to them.
It is a relatively safe drug, is being tested to help mental disorders and is being slammed because of a few kids who mistreated it.
And that is what kills you when you are on MDMA: acting stupid, throwing yourself against walls, creating external and internal damage to your body, hitting your head all the time and not being able to remember to get it checked out, dancing all night and not drinking anything, taking huge risks that could endanger yourself.
He trusts himself to not do anything stupid but he takes the drug to be able to act stupid.
And the drugs long term effects are unknown too but heavy use has been linked with damage to the nervous system.
You probably won't be able to stop him but this is what you can do. I'm not going to tell you to lie to him, just give him these facts. People whose deaths are related to ecstasy usually have taken more than 100mg so he should only take one pill at a time. Those people also usually take other drugs with ecstasy so he should stay away from that and alcohol when he is tripping. Thirdly, he should space out how often he takes ecstasy. The longer he waits, the better effect it'll have when he actually gets high again because the body will start getting used to being normal (maybe this will convince him to wait). Everytime he gets high, he should use protective measures like wearing thicker layers of clothing and mouth guards. And most importantly, he should ALWAYS have a sober friend nearby to make sure he's okay and he stays out of trouble because this is the person who will be saving his life when all his other doped-up friends are frolicking in fields full of flowers.
I know you don't want to tell anybody else but if his behavior doesn't stop, you're going to have to talk to your parents about it. You don't want to live with the guilt in case he seriously injures himself and you know you could have done something but you didn't.
