I have dark hair and allowed a friend of mine to put high lights in my hair on top.. i really liked the color. i was wondering can you use high lights as a one color type of thing. dye all my hair that color. (link)

Of course you can. Just keep in mind that when you completely dye your hair a specific color your natural roots are going to be more apparent once they start to grow back in. When you have just highlights and/or low lights it's not as noticeable, but as long as you keep it up, you should be fine and look great! :)

So i go to IUB and im like four hours from home and i cant decide if i should transfer closer to home. I like it here but i dont party much and i miss my boyfriend and family and friends. Also the class sizes are like 300 here. so how do i decide how to switch?? (link)

Sometimes it turns out that our college years aren't as awesome as we hope or plan for. Ultimately, the decision to transfer or not is solely yours. But I suggest you look at other schools academic records and what they HAVE to offer. Keep in mind that in a lot of your lower level courses (meaning your freshman and sophomore year) the classes are much bigger almost anywhere you go. The missing family and friends certainly does matter, but make sure you are making the best choice for you. Look at the cost as well. And finally, make sure that you keep this in mind: sometimes we have to put ouselves through tough times for a small amount of time in order to be set for life! :)

Well you certainly have a right to feel uneasy. No mattwer how open a person, your sex life is very personal and intimate. It should stay between you and your partner. Our reputations are a big part of us growing up, and we like to keep that in tact. If you and your boyfriend are close enough to be having a sex life, you should feel comfortable enough to tell him that you are bothered by the fact that he tells his friends about your private life. Let him know how it makes you feel and that you don't see it as respectful. Chances are he is going to understand and correct the problem immediately. But the only way he will know is if you speak up. :)

I've been on two pills. Levora was great until I hit over a year of use then I started to gain 20 pounds in water weight & had PMDD. So I switched to YAZ.. mood improved so much but I am still gaining the water weight.. if not MORE!
It lasts for over 2 weeks and then my stomach goes back to normal for less than a week. I can't afford to keep buying new clothes. I look like I'm pregnant. I am on the verge of going up another cup size. I am 5'1, D cup, 100-130+ pounds & only 17 years old.
Any suggestions? I'm sexually active so I would like to switch onto another pill. A friend suggested Depo

You may want to look into and ask your doctor about Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. It is known to not make you gain weight. It also known to help clear up acne. I personally have been on it for over 2 years and have seen cleaere skin, and maintained my weight. It has very low side effects; they even perscribe it to young young girls that want to just clear up their skin. You can go online and read more about it to see if you are interested. :)

So i took plan b a few weeks ago and then i guess you can say my i got my period the time im suppose to.I got it today.
But im still worried i may be pregnant because i heard that sometime around your period you may bleed cause of ovulation (if your preg) but im bleeding heavy which i heard that you bleed really light when you ovulate? is it true?

When Plan B, or the morning after pill is taken correctly it has great effectiveness. As you probably read prior to taking the pill, it can cause changes in your regular period (ie: timing, length, flow, etc)
Chances are though, if you took the pills and are now having a heavy flow around the same time as your period you should be okay.
However, I am not a medical professional, and neither are you. If you are really concerned you may want to take an at home pregnancy test or see your doctor.
Remember, every time you have sex, protected included, you risk getting pregnant. However, taking Plan B significantly reduces your chances. :)

I'm going back to college, and I was thinking of buying a new perfume. What would you recommend for this age group and for daytime wear? I don't want to smell like an old lady, but I don't want to smell like Curious by Britney Spears either. I guess I'm looking for a daytime perfume for a young woman.

Unfortunately, it is hard to get your money back with scams like this. But, you could star by writing a formal complaint to the BBB. You can go online and file this claim. They usually get back to you within a week or so. There you can specify what happened and what you want back. A lot of people have also filed claimed on this...so you will be heard. The more claims filed, the more likely a resolution you will be happy with might happen. :)

In the past few months I have gained a few pounds (I don't know if this has anything to do with my issues or not)
Lately (say, past 3,4, maybe 5 weeks) I have noticed that I'm constantly thirsty and always have to pee. Also, every time I eat (even if it's just a little) my stomach begins to hurt and I am CONSTANTLY bloated. Just these pass couple of days I have also had diarrhea which stings. Could these be symptoms of anything serious? There are stomach issues on both sides of my family. My mom had ulcerative colitis. What could be wrong with me? Do these symptoms sound familiar? (link)

Often times, when someone is having the symptoms you described: thirsty, peeing a lot, tired, weight gain, etc. it can be a sign of diabetes. Your best bet would be to call your doctor and make an appointment to test for sure. In the mean times, try to cut back your sugar intake to see if that makes a difference. Try not to worry, if it is diabetes there are very effective medicines you can take and by choosing better foods you can eliminate the effect. You can also lose the weight. Also, there are at home blood sugar level monitoring kits you can purchase to check every so often. But before you get all worked up, see your doctors and let them assess for sure. :)

Sometimes when you think your period is over it still has a little bit left to come out. It was probably just some more of that releasing itself. I don't think it is anything to really worry about. Sometimes you get clots too. Wait a day or two and see if it happens again, if it does, then you may want to consider going to see a doctor, but generally, you should be just fine. :)

I was recently looking into my future car and I stumbled upon the 4-door Mazda3 car. The current value is $14,625. Is that overpriced for a car? In short, yes. You can contract herpes by having oral sex or even giving a hand job. If you have been touching someone that is infecting and then touch yourself you can get it. Remember, people can have herpes and at times show no physical symptoms and still pass it. Remember to always be safe no matter what you choose to do. If you are worried you may have contracted herpes, I suggest you go to a doctor and get treated. :)

Well, first of all you have to be honest. One, with yourself, and second, with your boyfriend. You really need to take some time really asess whether or not you have enough feelings for your relationship with your boyfriend to keep going. If you don't then you need to be honest with him and break it off. If you don't, you are only hurting you both in the long run. Try making a list of the pros and cons. You want to be with someone that makes you strive for the better and brings out your best qualities. Even if you have been with the same person for a long time, there should still be some excitement. If you do decide you still want to be with your boyfriend you should communicate with him and tell him you want to work together to rekidnle old feelings. I don't think you should break up with your boyfriend merely to get with this guy. Let this other guy figure out on his own if he wants to be with his current girlfriend or not. He may not even want to be with you, it may be that he just likes the attention, so don't ruin anything that's not needed. In the meantime, focus on you and your current relationship. What's meant to be will always find a way. :)

You may want to check out the Art Institute of Houston website. It details all the programs they offer and although it is for the college level, a lot of the time they offer summer programs and work shops. You may want to also ask your art teacher at school. A lot of the time they have some information on that. :)

No, there isn't really a certain amount of days to way in between when you have sex. Your body will be able to tell you. Often times if you are not well lubricated your body will also let you know. Technically, you could have sex every day if you wanted to, but keep in mind, the more frequently you have sex the higher the risk gets for developing a UTI. In addition to that, keep in mind that every time you have sex you are at risk for pregnancy, stds, etc. But don't do anything you, your body, or your partner isn't ready to. :)

It is often the case that people take on roles or do things while being intimate they wouldn't normally do. It could be that looking at you at that exact moment is a turn on for him or encourages him to keep going. I am sure it's nothing too big or something to worry about. Since you and your boyfriend are comfortable enough with each other and your relationship to be intimate, don't be afraid to just ask him. Well, stuff like that is out of your control. All you can really do is understand and accept that this world is filled with crazy moments. That's not to say you are going to fall into that kind of category, so try not to focus on the negative so much; rather, on the positive. Keep yourself busy, and look for the good in people and situations. :)

The best place (for the least amount of money) is to look at your local resale and thirft stores. There's no sense in spending a ton of money for something like that. If you can't find anythere, try looking online at Ebay or Craigslist, and lastly, if that doesn't work, some stores like RAVE, Charollette Russe, Wet Seal might carry them for under 20 dollars. :)
