my name iS Rachel and I go to a mental health center 5 days a week monday through Friday but anyways here is my problem they let us smoke at the center and there are a bunch of people that smoke and I don't mind giving out ciggerates once in a while and everybody gives them back to me except this one girl who lives in a group home and I understand that she only gets $31.00 a month out of her social sucurity check but it never fails she always asks me for at least 6 or 7 smokes a day and I know she can't afford to pay me back should I mention it to a staff member or would I be a snitch?
stop smoking when she's around. I've been in similar situations, and this is the best alternative. sucks when you're the last guy with cigarettes on a combat outpost.

I'm writing and essay on comparing and contrasting Rainsford and Zaroff, and I'm having some troubles with the difference. Obviously, I know that Rainsford hunts animals while Zaroff hunts people. I also have that while Rainsford values human life, Zaroff does not. I need to find two more.
Does anyone have any other ideas?
both characters are similar, and have similar interests, but different prey. though I might add that rainsford seemed like the type that would be more straightforwrd about killing his prey, while zaroff seems to play with it like a cat. sort of a psychological intimidation, his prey is sentient(in that it knows its being hunted and is under a ridiculous amount of mental stress because of it). zaroff knows this, and makes it a factor to increase his own pleasure. also, look at the weapon that zaroff uses; its barely adequate for the task, whereas rainsford would use large caliber rifles to hunt animals for more reasons than just hunting larger prey. a 50 caliber elephant gun back in the day could bring down an elephant easily over medium distances with less targeting discipline than you would need to bring down a human with a .22
his weapon choice is made to make the hunt more even, closer, and more personal, so that he can have a better, more intimate relationship with his prey, whilst rainsford would just blast the cape buffalo, or whatever he's hunting, from a safer distance. he's looking for trophies, while zaroff is looking for the thrill. two entirely different things.

I was babysitting my niece and my nephew for my mom and my 6 year old nephew tried to choke my 8 niece his sister and I told my mom about it and she has tried everything to get him to stop but nothing works. we've tried taking things away, putting him in time out, and spanking him but nothing works and we are worried that one day he's going to end up hurting his sister what should we do?
get dad involved if he's the right kind of guy, and he will thrash that little scoundrel so bad the kid'll never lay a hand on another person for the rest of their lives. the lesson should be that actions have severe consequences. and do it again if the kid doesn't learn his lesson.

If you can hold a decent conversation with a guy for more than ten minutes, chances are he's a good guy. and by decent conversation, I mean something thats not the usual shallow bullshit that girls your age talk about. try bringing up current events, like the iran nuke crisis with one of the more nerdy fellows that lets you cheat off his test in science class, or shakespeare. NOTE: this requires preparation.

the only one that I can think of that wouldn't be permanently damaging would be to not shower and dress like a bum for a week. really get into it, like using crumpled newspapers stuffed in your shirt to keep warm, have a sign that says something like "Need money for heroin", the works. consider getting a headless doll that you could have long philosophy conversations with, scavenge through the school recycleable dumpster for a cardboard house, there are so many things that you could do!

I will be getting about 5 acres of land from my parents' subdivision (they're selling the farm and moving out) and I would like to put a house on it. I have already applied for a road access permit so I can build a road. My brothers wife, well hates me. She gets along perfectly fine with every other female in my family except ME. I have never done anything wrong to this girl and she is SO snobby to me! Her attitude stinks, she is friendly with everyone else in the family but when her and I are around eachother she always gives me "back handed compliments." Meaning, she'll say something that starts out nice, but ends up mean. Like "Oh I LOVE you're shirt! Even if it made out of obviously cheap material." Yes, thats an ACTUAL quote. She went to HS with my husband and he told me that she was always very snobby there too. I just can't figure out why she hates me so much! Out of respect for my brother, I just roll with the punches. I wouldn't want him being mean to my husband. It's like this girl is cruel to me for no good reason! Sometimes I swear she sits around and comes up with things to say when she sees me out. Maybe if I knew what her problem is, I could somehow stop all this BS.

I hate the place I'm living. I complain about it all the time but there's nothing anyone can do about it because whether I like it or not - I'm here for another 2 years (about). Anyways, I hate all my friends. I had one really close friend; Camilla. But she totally changed. I don't even know her anymore. I'm a freshman in High School, so is she, and now she's friends with all the sophmores and the juniors. It seems like she forgot all about me. I feel so angry, like I hate her, and everything is her fault. But maybe it's not her fault, maybe I'm not used to this idea of her not always being with me. But she's never with me, not in school, not in weekends. She was invited to this movie night and now all the upperclassmen like her, and it's so annoying. Maybe I'm just jealous, but I can't take it. I can't let things change with us because I know it'll ruin me. What should I do?
Another question -- I'm depressed, and it's killing me. I always do research but there's no way I can explain to my parents that I'm depressed so I need therapy/anti-depressants.
Is there another way to cure/better my depression?
deal with it. thats life. friends fade away every once in a while. make some new friends, its not like the six billion other people on the planet aren't interested in being your best friend. let her go, she obviously found people more suited to her tastes, and you should do the same.
as far as depression goes, there's two ways to solve it; copious amounts of excercise, or copious amounts of drugs and alcohol. anti depressants are too risky.
