i've liked this guy for a month or so now. we're in the exact same circle of friends and we talk primarily in school (in fact, we hardly ever talk on instant messenger or via facebook / myspace). i have his number and we call and text each other, usually for school purposes. i help him out a lot with school to be a good friend, and he trusts me. we also hang out a lot but in group settings.
however, just recently, i noticed that he would always hang around this girl, so i got up enough courage to ask him about their friendship and he admitted that he's liked her for a long time but isn't sure about the other way around.
well, lucky me, right? great friends, lots of trust, single, hang out outside of school... what could be wrong? it turns out, they're attached at the hip. they are ALL OVER each other, and she really infuriates me because she's had boyfriends over these last few months yet he STILL likes her after everything. she posts facebook albums of them hanging out and makes them her profile pictures and hugs him and holds hands with him and i sit here wondering... why is she doing this? she doesn't even like him beyond friends! she's leading him on -- and it's obvious. he really likes her though, and nothing will stop him. he's liked her for many, many months.
we've only talked about her a couple times but he doesn't talk to me about it really openly. i've worked really hard to make our friendship absolutely perfect, and we're closer than ever now. i don't want to ruin that by breaking the ice and telling him i like him, ESPECIALLY since i know for a fact that he likes that other girl.
in addition, i'm a really jealous person. i suddenly feel like i hate her more than anyone on the planet. it's so weird though because i honestly think i'm prettier than her, i have a better body, and i'm smarter than her. i'm only jealous that he likes her. he's really innocent and isn't a hot shot pimp kind of guy, and she's a really sweet innocent angel kind of girl (NOT a slut by any stretch of imagination despite the fact that she's had several boyfriends whereas i haven't). and i think those are the types of girls he likes.
what is your opinion? also, i'm not even sure if i want to date him necessarily. i just want to get to know him better and be like. friends with benefits sorta. no like serious relationship stuff. so there's no point in me admitting that i like him. that'll just raise his ego even higher than it already is.
Why would you even want to aim for "friends with benefits"? That's an emotional train wreck waiting to happen. Seriously. Think you're jealous now, just wait til you and him start goofing around, then you become attached and he doesn't like you like that.
Anyways, you cannot make someone like you. He obviously likes this other girl, whether you like it or not. You're going to have to deal with it, and if he's such a good friend, you'll allow him to go his own path with girls. Just be happy you have a friend this good.

As of late, my parents, friends and counselors at school have been talking A LOT about colleges and it's starting to freak me out.
I'm a 16 year old junior in high school, so it's REALLY time I start picking out where I want to go. I'm pretty much set on what I want to do as far as a career goes, but I don't know which college I want to go to, which is pretty bad seeing as that will determine my career path?!
So, like I said: I don't know where to start! I know I want to stay in state or go to a neighboring state, but how should I go about researching, choosing, and whatnot?

I would really appreciate anyone's input on some cute ideas of valentine's gifts I could send my boyfriend. I'm a virgin. Is it REALLY that important to lose it to someone you love? I don't plan on falling in love anytime soon. My first kiss wasn't special. It annoyed me at first. My second kiss wasn't special either, but I found the guy attractive and realized that was perfectly fine with me. For a while now it seems like my life has been on pause. Nothin is happening to me, im not saying im sad, more like bored with life. I've been going out with my boyfriend for almost 5 months now, and I love him so much but hes going to be leaving in a few months for a job in another country for a year. He says that he wants to keep the relationship going and still be together when he comes back, but I don't know if thats going to be to hard to do. Nano's aren't usually video compatible. You'd have to get an iPod video for it to work.

So every night *almost every night* I always cannot wait to go to sleep because of this one dream I like to have. The dream consists of me being pregnant in my middle school hallway with a like terrorist trying to attack me, and there are gunmen keeping all the students in their classrooms so nobody can help me. But once the man grabs my neck and squeezes it, he bangs my head against the locker and I get knocked out for about 2 seconds. When I get back up he is about to take a bat to my stomach and I scream no please, I am pregnant! (in real life i am not sexually active) Then the dream just stops there I guess. Is this normal? please help sorry if this was long.
If I had that dream, I'd never go back to sleep. I guess it's not a huge deal to enjoy that dream, don't even worry about it.
