Erinn_the_bamf answered Tuesday January 20 2009, 7:37 pm: Ozzy is not a severely unholy man. Sure, my grandma would probably tell you all that noise is a sacrilege, but if you listen close enough to his music, there are correlations to faith. Ignatz answered Tuesday January 20 2009, 6:37 pm: Listening to Ozzy is kinda like watching a horror movie. Fun, entertaining, and occasionally makes you think. Keep in mind that Ozzy was a devout Catholic for many years, and his lyrics often touch on spiritual issues. He's not as explicitly Christian as POD or DCTalk, but he still advocates love over hate and peace over war, as well as thinking for ones self. Nothing sinful about that. He occasionally advocates challenging authority, but then again so did Jesus. Music is music, there's nothing inherently sinful about it one way or the other. What matters is your actions. So get on that Crazy Train, Brother! [ Ignatz's advice column | Ask Ignatz A Question ]
loveydovey224 answered Tuesday January 20 2009, 6:14 pm: well i'm not a serious christian or anything but there's def music alot worse than ozzy to listen to. Yeah he has kind of a bad rep for being crazy and thats probably pretty true, but if you listen to the lyrics of his songs, there really isnt anything that bad in them.
Like "Mr. Crowley" is a song making fun of a magician. So if you're just going by his music than i'd say listening to it isnt a sin at all but if you take it like by listening to his music you're supporting him and his crazyness than maybe it could be considered a sin.
