I'm turning 16 and I am getting a car for my birthday. My dad wants me to get a new car, but I'm not so sure because I've heard that a new car loses a certain amount of value right as you drive it off the lot. I want a Jetta, and so what would be better: a new one, or one that is 1 or 2 years old? (link)
|
Okay, you're right about brand new cars losing some value after they're driven off the lot for the first time. As soon as you buy a brand new car, it loses about $5000 of value as soon as you drive it off the lot. It's a better value, economicly, if you buy one that's a few years older. If you're helping to pay for the car, you should seriously concider buying a used one from the Volkswaagen dealer.

ok... I'm 18 yrs old... So for my question... like the beginning of this month I had a gyno appt and she told me that everything was ok... Well now.... my period is suppose to start either today... or tomorrow.... well... it kinda started today.. but its not like my regular period... I mean.. I'm hardly even bleeding at all... not like my normal one where its heavy... I was put on a Antibiotic and the doctor never told me that it could affect my birthcontrol and i never new that... and me and my boyfriend have been having unprotected sex for like 6 months now.. but ive always always gotten my period on time... and the usual everything... now i'm scared because i'm not sure.... Could I be pregnant???? ;/
(link)
|
You could be pregnant because certain antiboitics do interfere with the effectiveness of birth control medicines. The light bleeding could be a sign of pregnancy because many women who are pregnant get some very light bleeding around the time when they would normally have had their period. This is commonly known as "spotting". Although you could have just started your period really lightly this month. If it doesn't become heavier within a couple of days, you should take a home pregnancy test to see if you're pregnant or not.

o1. What is foundation used for?
o2. What is the difference between foundation && concealer?
o3. What is better, bronzer or face powder?
--thx (link)
|
Foundation is the basecoat of your makeup. I ususally put this on before I do the rest of my makeup to cover minor skin flaws and to even out the skin tone. Concealer is used to completely cover up a problem area on your face. Foundation is just your basic coverage and doesn't target one area in partiuclar. And depending on what you want out of your makeup, you should make the decision about whether you want face powder or bronzer.

ok someone hacked onto my neopets account and is using it and i want to hack back into it ( they chaged the password and email) so how can i do that (link)
|
Okay, first of all, you cannot be "hacked" on neopets. I've been a member for about three years. The word you're looking for is "scammed" because no one can gain access to your neopets account unless YOU GIVE THEM your password. This is a widely known fact and the main reason why The Neopets Team stresses so heavily that you keep your password protected. There is really nothing you can do to get your account back unless you can trick that person into telling you the new password, and I wouldn't count on that happening. Just make a new account, start over on the site, and learn from your mistake.

My boyfriend fingered me a couple days ago and now, 5 days after my period has ended I am bleeding very slightly (I can only notice when I wipe) and when I pee it stings a little. What does this mean? (link)
|
Don't get stressed about this, it's nothing serious. From what you've said, it sounds like he cut you with his fingernail when he was "doing his thing". It's happened to me before, and the only thing you can really do is wait it out. The stinging should stop after a couple of days. If the bleeding and stinging last more than a week, you should go see a doctor.

I got my hair cut really short for school (don't ask why) & so I need some hair styles from guys with short hair, could you please tell me what these are & how I can do them? or is there a site that I can go to?
thank you (link)
|
try hairboutique.com That's where I go when I need pictures for everything hair related. They've got everything from basic every day things to fancy updos. All of it's cute and not stuff for old people. You should be able to find something there you like.

I think somebody already asked a question like this, but here I go anyway.
I am about to turn 15 years old in September, and I am in all honors classes this year in highschool. I also want to be in Drama. I was thinking maybe this year I could look for a job. Would that be too much on my plate for one year?
I am also wanting to take tennis lessons and workout after school.
I heard that honors classes hand out alot of homework, but I really want a job because my parents are never willing to pay for certain things, and I dont blame them.
Should I cut down on my after school to-dos? (link)
|
In my opinion, you shouldn't commit yourself to more than you can handle. Once you start your classes, you'll have a better idea of how long it takes you to get all your homework done and how much time it leaves you for other things. There are always the weekends for things like working out and taking tennis lessons. Those don't necessarily have to be done after school. A lot of places won't hire you until you're at least 16 years old, so you might have some trouble finding a job if you're not even 15 yet. Maybe your parents would be more willing to give you money if you helped out with chores around the house. Ask them if they'll give you money for doing things for them; like washing the car, mowing the grass, taking out the trash, walking the dog, etc.

I am bored out of my mind I've been at the computer for hours mostly because i'm waiting for this guy to sign on but he wont and I have nothing else to do besides this and watching tv im SO bored please give me ideas!! (link)
|
You could try cooking something... that's what I ususally do when I'm waiting to talk to someone. Just make sure you turn up the volume on your speakers so you can hear the little sign in noise...

Okay well im going to be 16 in sept. and on the 9th im having a party ( i wanna big party with alotta ppl there all jus having fun) I told bunches of my friends and i kno most of them are coming- im juss scared like no one is gonna show up! That and my mom wants to do games.. how gay i keep telling her no but she says the DJ has to get a break and i said NO GAMES.. b/c m friends are like all 9th-12th .. they aint gonna wanna do games.. so how can i stop being nervous about the party- and what to do about my mom... should i do while the DJ takes a break PLZ help! i Rate High! (link)
|
Don't worry about people not showing up, I'm sure they will. Don't be so nervous about it. There's nothing worse than going to a party with an uptight host. Sometimes party games can be kind of fun if everyone's in the mood for them, but if not, you run the risk of everyone saying you had a little kid party.. I can see why you wouldn't want to have games, but at least keep it as a backup plan. What I think you should do while the DJ takes a break is open up your gifts and maybe start serving the cake (if you're having any). You won't really need the music while you're opening gifts.. that's the part of the party where everyone's checking out what you got... That should give the DJ a pretty decent break and you won't have to play games if you don't want to.

okay well this might be gross but please take it seriously and give me some advice my arm pits sweat kinda alot and at school they sweat and you can see the wet marks under my arms i hate it what can i do?! (link)
|
Make sure you get an anti-perspirant deodorant. That helps control the sweat and the odor instead of just the odor. If that doesn't help, you should see a doctor to see if maybe they can get a stronger kind of anti-perspirant for you.

hey im 13 and my girlfriend is 19 and we do everything together..go to the movies, mall, make out, and more! the only problem is that i think she might be seeing someone else...whenever she picks me up to go somewhere shes always late..what should i do?
-lover boy (link)
|
Umm.. first of all, a 19 year old girl has no business dating a 13 year old boy. That's just disgusting on so many levals. She probably is seeing someone else. Being late doesn't necessarily mean she's cheating, maybe she just takes awhile to get ready. She's 6 years older than you are.. There's nothing you really have to offer her, other than companionship. It's not like you can afford to do all the things that a real boyfriend can. End this ridiculous thing right now before you wind up getting hurt.
|
Okay! Im 13 and have the oddest fear. I go to bed at like 1 30 AM and than ill go to the bathroom at like 2 and ill go to the bathroom and than go to leave but ill be too scared. So ill end up sleeping in the bathtub!! Its cuz im afraid someones in the house but no one ever is. Is there a way to get over the fear? (link)
|
This probably won't answer your question or anything, but you should make sure you're not watching creepy shows before you go to bed. That always freaks me out... Stuff like America's Most Wanted or any kind of movie with crazy serial killers and stuff is a bad idea to watch before you're going to sleep.

My boyfriends' ex is pregnant, she isn't trying to break us up or anything. She stays out of my way and I stay out of hers. I love my boyfriend very much, do you think that the baby could break us up or make us closer. Please help. Should I talk to the ex or just leave things as are. (link)
|
Well, it depends... Is your boyfriend the father of his ex-girlfriend's baby? If he is, he needs to be there to support his child, and you might need to take the backseat for awhile. If he is the father of the baby and you can get along with the ex-girlfriend, then there's no reason you can't help her out with the baby, if you're inclined to do so. If your boyfriend isn't the baby's dad, then this really shouldn't affect you at all, but you should at least make an effor to be friendly towards her even if you don't like her very much.

I'm really tired of just wearing jeans and a t-shirt to school. I want to start dressing nicer. But all the nice/cute clothes that I find are tank tops or spaghetti straps. And the problem with that is at my school all tops have to have a strap of 3 inches.
Does anyone know of any place that has nice/cute tops that aren't tank or spaghetti?
Thanks. (link)
|
3 inches? Wow, that's a little strict... but there are places that have cute tops that you're able to wear to school. Try places like Target, JcPenny, or Kohl's. They ususally have a variety of things to choose from and are relatively inexpensive.

Some girl purchased sunglasses from me on ebay and she said once she received it in the mail, it had scratches all over it and it looked like it had been sat on after being used. I explained to her that they were in perfect condition when I shipped them, they have never been worn, and had absolutely nothing wrong with it. Now, shes accusing me of lying and demands a refund. I figured it either got damaged while it was in the mail or she just doesn't like it and wants her money back, but she refuses to accept it. In my description, I said all sales are final and I am not responsible for any lost or damaged items. And now she's reporting me to Ebay because she can't get a refund. (Which she knew she wouldnt be able to get when she bidded on my item.) I feel bad that her sunglasses got damaged, but I had them safely wrapped and shipped in perfect condition, so it's not my fault. Plus, she's being rude and ridiculous, so I refuse to even do anything nice for her, like bend my rules. So is there way I could get in trouble for something like that? (link)
|
You shouldn't get in trouble for it because if you clearly stated in your description like you say you did, that you don't claim responsibility for lost or damaged items, she should have known better than to ask you for a refund. I don't sell or buy stuff on Ebay, but what you said sounds fair. You never know what you're getting when you buy something online and you also never know what might happen when the product is being shipped. You did nothing wrong, and she's just mad that she can't get her money back because she's unsatisfied. She knew what she was getting into when she placed a bid on your item.

ok heres the situation..my parents said i can only get a cat if i can find a place for the litter box so my puppy wont get into it when nobodys home. i cant think of anyplace to put it, any suggestions? (link)
|
If your house has a basement, you could put the litter box in the basement and close the door when no one's there.

okay well I start high school in about a week and I’m turning 16 pretty soon I don’t have my permit and I don’t have a job and I don’t have a cell phone which is the problem I really want one but my mom says I don’t need one I haven’t talked to my mom in 2 whole days I hate her for it I don’t want a job but if that’s what it takes for me to get a cell phone I’m getting one so does any one know any places that would hire a 15 year old girl because I really want a cell and that’s the only way I can get one but I don’t mean like babysitting I mean a real job please help and also do u think I’m being stupid about this like is having a cell phone that big of a deal? so please list thanks alot!!
*K (link)
|
Um, yeah, you are being stupid about the cell phone. You can't even get a cell phone without a parent signing for you because you're a minor. And even if you did have a cell phone, are you responsible enough to pay the bills on time, or would you just go spend all of your paycheck as soon as you got it? Most places would prefer you to be 16 at least when you apply, but some places will hire 15 year olds if they have a work permit. Having a cell phone won't make you cool or popular, or whatever it is you're thinking. And you know you don't really hate your mom. You're just pissed off because she won't give you what you want. Wise up, already.

How do I delete a myspace? (link)
|
Go to the "Manage My Account" page. You should find this link on the page that comes up after you sign in. When you get to the "Manage My Account" page, there's another link, in grey, that says "Cancel My Account". Click on that one and go from there.

what are some tips to prevent odor during my period? (link)
|
Make sure you change your pad/tampon every couple of hours. I believe Stayfree makes "deoderant" pads, which help keep the odor from going anywhere. If you normally wear pads, this is a good option because the odor protection doesn't wear off.

I want opinions on this one. I'm 17 (almost 18)/f, my boyfriend's 19. We're both going into college as freshman, but we're going into different colleges. I heard there are dances at my school and I'm assuming there will be some at his.
My thing is, I really wouldn't feel comfortable going with anyone but him, but he'll be living like 45 minutes away from me and I have no car and therefore no way to pick him up.
He does have a car, but I doubt he'd want to drive 45 minutes to get me, run back, and then run me back later. (Though he did promise he'd drive over and see me every other week as long as college didn't kill him workwise)
Opinionwise - should I find out the dance date(s) and try to work it out so I can drag him, or do I just go alone?
Also, do I tell him if there are dances I want him to take me (mostly because I honestly want to meet his friends...and besides, he's a good dancer)? Would that seem too much like I'm trying to keep tabs on him? I trust him, and he knows that.
What do you guys think? (link)
|
You should find out the dates of the dances and ask him if he's free to come to them with you. If he's not, just go alone or with some friends. If he is free, by all means ask him to go with you. 45 minutes is kind of a long drive, but it's not that bad. You could even offer to help him pay for gas for his car if money's tight. There's nothing wrong with asking about dances at his school either, just make sure you don't sound too forceful about it, though. You don't want him thinking you're his new mommy. If his school doesn't have dances or if they do and he isn't interested in going, you could mention that you'd like to meet his friends and maybe you could all get together for dinner or a movie some night.
