I did the games thing with my twin on our sweet 16. It was fun. Like you, my mom suggested it and we were like oh my goodness mom your so lame, but it ended up being REALLY fun. We just did stupid stuff like truth or dare spin the bottle. Where not only did you need to kiss the person, you had to either ask them a question or dare them to do something. We even got a game of limbo going. But if you and your friends are "too cool" to do that kind of stuff... then when your DJ takes a break- do cake, food & presents then. That way as soon as he comes back you dont have to stop dancing & stuff to eat & sing happy birthday and stuff. Have fun, and happy birthday.

maybe you could convince your mom not to plat like kiddie hames but like have dancing games. like where you have to do a certain thing to stay out on the dance floor. as for the worrying, its perfectly normal. ou could type up a list and ask your friends to check off their name if they are goin. hope i helped.

ok well tell your mom that its YOUR party not hers and your old enough to decide wether you wanna play games or not.but while the dj takes a break i would just turn on a stereo and open your gifts/eat cake at that time.and dont worry about noone showing up. they WILL come!everyone gets a little nervous before having a big party but just relax and dont stress over it.

hope i helped XoXo

well first of all dont worry i had a party like that too and plenty of people are oging to show up most people think in their minds hey man this is gonna be so tight there are going to be lots of people and it will be so fun!!! and about the mom say "mom! im going to be 16 games are for kids!i will handle it myself dont worry the dj will get a break i know what to do!" and then walk away she'll give up...while the dj is gone just turn on a stereo for the tiem being and that will handle everything and maybe play party games of the right kind ((you know what i mean)) if there is no stereo plug in then everyone will be fine for the time being...hope i helped a bit!

Don't worry about people not showing up, I'm sure they will. Don't be so nervous about it. There's nothing worse than going to a party with an uptight host. Sometimes party games can be kind of fun if everyone's in the mood for them, but if not, you run the risk of everyone saying you had a little kid party.. I can see why you wouldn't want to have games, but at least keep it as a backup plan. What I think you should do while the DJ takes a break is open up your gifts and maybe start serving the cake (if you're having any). You won't really need the music while you're opening gifts.. that's the part of the party where everyone's checking out what you got... That should give the DJ a pretty decent break and you won't have to play games if you don't want to.

Entertain your friends by telling jokes if you're not good at it then tell your mom to hire someone who is a professional comedian.Keep insisting to your mom that you don't want to do games.Or what you could also do is have them watch a horror or comedy,or action movie. You could try to stay calm by drinking some tea, coffee,or anything that doesn't make you think about all this. Think positive make sure they receive your invitations so they will definitely show up to your party!Have a wonderful time at your sixteenth birthday!

when the DJ takes a break you could do cake, ice cream, and presents. trust me, you're not too old for that.
