as soon as i saw the new ipod nanos when they came out last month i knew i wanted the purple one. well one of my bestfriends just bought it like a week ago with her birthday money, which i'm fine with. but now she's saying that she'll be mad if i buy it too. on top of that she also bought herself a new red phone, and it just so happens that i've been planning on getting a red one in december when i am eligible for an upgrade. so now it's gonna be like if i get the purple nano and a red phone im doing everything she does and then i'm never gonna stop hearing about it. so my birthday is coming up and i don't know what to do. i really want the purple nano, i know she got it first but i don't feel like i should have to settle for another color just because my birthday is a couple months after hers. and she knew the whole time that i wanted the purple ipod & a red phone. so what should i do?
Get what YOU want to get. It's your choice, so don't let her boss you around. If she thinks you're copying her, she's just being self- centered and immature. Just remind her that a lot of people in the world have those things, so she could be "copying" someone else :) Good luck!
Ohkay, well i am kinda stuck on 2 ideas, BUT, let me know if you think any others are scarier. Well, i am either going with emo, or punk. mhmm, maybe a pink tutuu for the emo and like get a black wig, with black n white makeup, maybe a few fake scars... and for punk, like a metal rock band tshirt, uhm... like a pink streak of hair, mabye netting or something...
any help? i wanna buy stuff so if anyone knows any good like costume shops in calgary, please let meh know. FYI: needs to be a COMFY costume, cuz, i miiiight involve running.

Ok, um for the "emo" I would suggest:
-You DEFINITELY need some converse. Black hightop would work best but whatever you want.
- Black skinny jeans or black leggings under the pink tutu.
- As for the shirt, just go to a hot topic or even pacsun. Pacsun is more skater clothes, but they do have some "emo" things. Hot topic would be the best though.
The punk:
-teased hair with some color in it is a MUST
-ripped dark jeans, preferably skinny
-band shirt. Again, try to find a Hot Topic because they have a LOT of band shirts! Get a good metal band like Judas Priest or Iron Maiden :)
-Maybe some black boots? Not high heel, think like clunky army boots lol

Ok, don't think I'm a person who doesn't give a shit or anything, I just haven't had any time to watch the news or read newspapers since school started. I'm far behind in current affairs.
I just hear a lot of talk about banks and businesses going bankrupt, prices in food stores going higher, etc.
Even here in Belgium, major companies and also one of the top three banks have gone or are on the verge of bankruptcy.
What exactly is happening to the world right now?

ok so iam going to this homecoming dance this saturday...and there is this guy thats going to be there (hopefully) that i think is really attractive and he seems pretty cool...i dont really know him on a personal level but iam wondering if i should try to and if so how? what do guys like, if they like being approched by a girl first or if they like to do the approching...i dont know. but anyways hes really cute and iam hoping he will end up being there.

well, since he's your best friend's boyriend's friend, why don't you ask if you can all go together in a group? You could all ride there together and you could get to know him on the way. Then, you could hang with him at the dance (but don't be TOO clingy) and if he shows any interest in you, ask him if he wants to dance/ hang out again sometime. Hope all goes well!

The answer is in the question. You tell her. Write her a note, talk to her, call her up, anything. Make sure she knows you like her a lot but don't be pushy about it. She will most likely find it annoying if you constantly bug her about if she likes you or not. Personally, I think it should also be a tad romantic :) like, don't send her an email or something. well first off, you can't get a nose job at 14. The doctors want your facial bones to stop growing before they start changing things. Some doctors do them at 16 though. Second, honostly, you will most likely grow into your nose. That's why they wouldn't do the surgery now, because you could grow into your nose later and it would screw it up. If the guys are so shallow to freak about your nose, they aren't worth your time anyways. You want a guy who loves you for you and thinks you beautiful how you are :) try focusing on the parts of you that you love. Sounds like you like the rest of you! lol, think about how fortunate you are to be skinny, to have beautiful eyes :) goodluck! Hope everything works out for you!

Well with my phone (samsung) I can email it. However my friend's phone has a usb jack so you can plug it into the computer. :) hope that helped!

I'm a junior in high school, Yep, you guessed it, im a girl. THIS question is for all you football players out there. I plan on trying out for my football team my senior year. It really means a lot to me that i make the team...Any 'excersizes', or drills that you would suggest for me to practice?

I suggest going to some football practices to watch what they're doing :) if your school isn't practicing, maybe go to another school's practices OR you could ask someone on the team to help you :D you should definitely start running though. Goodluck!

I keep seeing films or reading books (and I know this might be unrealistic) where the girl meets this guy somewhere, he's really amazing, and they just hang out and flirt and you know they're going to end up together. Even if they don't love each other, they do really like each other.
I've just come out of this 'relationship' with this guy that has been going on for ages. Thing is, we actually split up in december, but it's been carrying on till now. He still really likes me and I can't say I don't have ANY feelings for him, but I'm pretty sure I'm ready to move on now.
And I really want that kind of relationship I described at first (to give some examples, Robbie and Georgia in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, Ian and Daphne in What a Girl Wants etc.)
Thing is, it's really hard to meet guys. I usually get into relationships through friends, y'know, they'll just be part of the group I hang out with and we'll end up together.
Even if you do see a hot guy, it's not exactly easy to get to know them if they're just passing you in the street.
I don't like anyone at my school so that's pretty unlikely, and besides I like guys older than me and seeing as I'll be in the oldest year at school, it's unlikely I'll find anyone.
So where can I go, and what should I do to meet someone?

Well, keep in mind, life isn't like the movies :) usually, everything is like a fairytale in movies. It works a bit different in the real world lol. Well, I usually go to the movie theater or the mall by myself. If you're with a large group of friends, some guys feel intimidated to come up to you. But if you're alone, they're more likely to. Also, if a guy doesn't seem to notice you, don't feel bad. He probably is already taken or something. I don't usually go up to guys for fear of they are already taken ha ha call me a chicken :b One time, I went to a scary movie all by myself, and there was a group of older boys in there and they asked me to come sit with them because I was alone and I might get scared :) ha ha so if you go to a movie by yourself, make sure it's scary because older guys will be in the theater :) most teenage guys like scary movies. So, that was a tad long lol sorry! But yeah, Goodluck!

Ok, well i have to go to a meeting at my school tomorrow and i didn't have a ride but now one of my friends is going to take me. She is a year older than me and she is really nice. The only thing is is that i am not fully comfortable around her because i mean she is my friend but i don't know her well enough to just call her every day. I am going to be really nervous when she comes to pick me up. I mean, she is really nice and friendly and we hung out in classes together before but i just don't feel like i could tell her everything. What should i do when she picks me up? Also, when she said she was going to pick me up, does that usually mean she is going to take me home to? How can i find out if she is taking me home without being so blunt? Thanks!
Wooaaahh, slow down there ha ha :) honostly, it's not that big of a deal. I mean, you guys will get to talk and maybe become better friends right? It kindof sounds to me like you're intimidated because she's older :) don't be. Obviously, she thinks you're cool enough to give a ride to. Just start up a casual conversation and go with the flow. I got my tonsils taken out today and they used general anesthesia on me. When I woke up I found myself feeling that I couldn't breat and gasping for air. It turns out the breathing tube was still in my throat. I think I was squirming, because I remember hearing the nurses say, "Stop moving, stop moving!". I think they put me back to sleep though, because I don't remember feeling them take the tube out. Has this ever happened to anyone before, when they woke up earlier than they were supposed to? It was SCARY! Thanks!!
Wow, I would hate that. That happened to my little sister when she got her tonsil's out :) Either they didn't give you enough knock out gas, or you're just a light sleeper I guess ha ha
So i was talking to this guy when he totally just ditched me and started talking to someone else..i couldnt believe it..i fell for his game and now i regret ever talking to him..how do i get over this guy? I feel like there was no closure with him..he just ditched me one day
You definitely need to talk to him. Ask him, casually, why he didn't at least say goodbye. Make sure he understands that it hurt and if he doesn't regret it, then he doesn't deserve you! :) goodluck!

Ok, i have a paul mitchell straightner and it works good but my hair is really thick and it gets it straightned but sometimes it still leaves it poofy. Well my friend got a new straightner from walmart and used it on my hair and it works really good! My hair was so flat and straight. The paul mitchell straightner was kind of expensive and the one from walmart was cheap and it worked bettter. Why is this? Also, is there any straigtners you know of that are between 20-50 dollars that work well? thanks!
well, usually things are expensive because of the brand name. So, even if the straightener IS good, most of what you are paying for is the name. also, go to best buy and type in straighteners. The second one down (conair infiniti) is the best straightener in my opinion. WAY better than my old chi. It's a little over your budget, but it's well worth it! Also, when you get a straightener, make sure the hot plates are ceramic. those work the best :) Goodluck!
