as soon as i saw the new ipod nanos when they came out last month i knew i wanted the purple one. well one of my bestfriends just bought it like a week ago with her birthday money, which i'm fine with. but now she's saying that she'll be mad if i buy it too. on top of that she also bought herself a new red phone, and it just so happens that i've been planning on getting a red one in december when i am eligible for an upgrade. so now it's gonna be like if i get the purple nano and a red phone im doing everything she does and then i'm never gonna stop hearing about it. so my birthday is coming up and i don't know what to do. i really want the purple nano, i know she got it first but i don't feel like i should have to settle for another color just because my birthday is a couple months after hers. and she knew the whole time that i wanted the purple ipod & a red phone. so what should i do?

If she thinks you're copying her, she's just being self- centered and immature. Just remind her that a lot of people in the world have those things, so she could be "copying" someone else :) Good luck! [ Hitoast's advice column | Ask Hitoast A Question ]

Plus its an ipod, its not like people even going to notice that you and your friend have the same color, only you two will know. But if it really bothers you, you can always try getting the ipod covers- they come in different styles not only in colors. Same goes for the phone, if you want a red phone, then get one. A lot of people have red phones, trust me, and if it really bothers you that you and your friend both have red phones try the phone case/cover.
Happy -almost- birthday!!
and really get which ever one will make you the happiest, not which one your friend wants you to get, because after all, it is YOURS!
shelbz7077 answered Tuesday October 7 2008, 9:18 pm: I would ignore her. I mean it's your right to get what you want. Don't listen to her. Especially since she knows you were planning it first. Maybe this person isn't really your friend if they treat you like this. I would try telling her that. [ shelbz7077's advice column | Ask shelbz7077 A Question ]
