Hi...
I am about to get my braces off and i dont know why but my orthodontist does a lot of stuff to your teeth like 3 weeks beofre you get them off and they are so sore and i am having to wear 5 different rubber band in 5 different places and they are just really sore and i was wondering if anyone knew anything i could do to make them feel better besides eating ice cream because i am on a diet.
Also, anyone who has had there braces off, i have heard it does hurt and i have heard it doesn't hurt. Does it? Does that polishing thingy feel weird?

It doesn't hurt at all. While they're taking them off, you don't feel a thing. It's really unconfortable because your mouth has to be dry; just like it was when you got them on. It'll take the same amount of time to take them off, as it did to put them on. The polishing thing does feel a little weird. But they do this mainly because they have to get all the glue and dirt of your teeth. Don't worry, it's going to go well. You might feel a little weird after you get your braces off, because your not used to seeing yourself without them. As time goes by though, you'll get used to it and you'll be glad you got braces. You'll have a beautiful smile and I'm sure you'll be happy in the end.

i try to put a picture on my advise column, but it always tells me "You tried to upload a picture, but it was greater than 15K in filesize so it wasn't uploaded." .. so what do i do?

You'll have to go on paint and re-size the picture that you want to put on your column. Either that, or find a smaller picture of yourself or one off the net. Once you do re-size it, it'll go on your column.

I watched Man on Fire a few hours ago, and after crying really hard I started crying even more when it said Mr. Creasy died on 12.16.2003. Now I'm confused, is Man on Fire based on a true story or not? If it is, I think I'm going to cry again. Thanks to anyone who helps.

There are nice girl's everywhere, you just have to give one a chance. I know some girls are low and just want a guy because they are "hot" and such, but them are the wrong ones to be looking for. If you want a nice girl, you have to look around, hard. It'll take time, but I'm sure you'll find her. Try going to club's, parties, the park. Maybe your friends can hook you up on a couple of blind dates. Your dream girl could be right in front of your eyes, but you just don't know it. If you have any close friends, get to know them better. Hangout with them, go to the mall, the movies, chat on the phone, etc. Either way, finding the "right girl" is going to take time. But believe me you'll find her. You are only 20. No need to be tied down just yet hun.

You could do a lot of things, example: Spin the bottle, 7 minutes in heaven, truth or dare, twister, play some music and dance, watch movies, sing, take pictures, etc.

i thought i should ask a guy for their opinion .. ok there is this guy name josh and we went out over the summer then broke up a day before school started. I think you were suppose to send this to a different column, because I'm not a guy. But even though, I'd like to help you out with this problem. I'll tell you the truth, he likes you. He's dropping loads of hints to you. When your friend asked if he'd ever go back out with you, he smiled. There's a hint right there. Also when your friend asked about Brooke he came out and said no. But when your friend asked about you, he didn't say anything. He's probably just too shy to come out and say that he's still crushing on you. Main reason would be, because he has a girlfriend right now. But if I were you, I'd try to change all that. Since you still like him, try talking to him every chance you get, make loads of eye contact, giggle a lot, laugh at all his jokes and smile. He'll get the message that you'll still crushing on him by doing this. If you want, you could make it easy and come out and tell him you still like him. Either, tell him in person, on the phone, in a letter or over the computer. Either way, you have to tell him. You never know, something could spark back up and you guys would get back together. So, go for it hun! Don't let this chance pass you by.

You guys should just spend more time with eachother. Two days or so out of the week, plan something to do with eachother. Maybe go to the movies or the mall. Then on weekends, have a sleepover and such. That way you'll always catch up on things. You could also call eachother everyday, etc.

My best friend and I got into a fight because she lied to me about why my boyfriend broke up with me. She actually told him she was in love with him and stuff like that.. since she KNEW he also liked her. And the reason she did that was to get him to break up with me.. all because of jealousy! Well.. she finally told me the truth.. AFTER she knew 2 other people told me. She thinks im mad at her for causing him to break up with me.. but im mad because she lied.. I tried to tell her that.. and she got really defensive and blocked me. Everytime i try to talk to her at school, she walks away from me.

You shouldn't be the one telling her your sorry, she should be the one doing that. She's the one that made you and your boyfriend break up. She wasn't being a good friend at all. Maybe you should give it a couple of days. She'll cool off and so will you. Once you feel like everythings okay, then try talking to her. Just tell her that what pissed you off the most was the lying. Best friend's don't lie to eachother. All you wanted was the truth from her and you didn't get it and that is why you were mad at her. Explain to her that you don't want to lose your friendship over a guy. Because no guy is worth that, at all. Friends are forever, boyfriends come and go. Explain all your feelings towards her and once you're done, I'm sure she'll understand and forgive you. You just have to have a really good heart-to-heart talk and get everything on the right track again.

Sweetie, you really need to find a new guy to crush on. This one seems like he's just playing with your heart. If he really does like you like he says he does, he wouldn't have a problem with dumping his girlfriend that he has now. It's great that you're really good friends with this guy, but I think that's all you should be. How do you know, if/when you actually do go out with this guy he won't be doing the same things he's been doing to you? He could be going out with you and telling another girl he's been talking to, that he loves her. So if I were you, I'd concider a new crush. This guy is not worth having you as a girlfriend.

Hey. I've been having trouble by getting a picture on to my advicenator homepage. I would be glad if anyone could list me the steps in order of how to do it. Thanks a bunch!

First, you have to go to "Profile Settings". If you have a picture saved on your computer, you go to "Upload a picture of you" and click browse and look for your file name. Then just go down and hit "Submit". You could also do it a different way. You could find a picture of the internet and right click and go to "Properties". Then just copy the "Address (URL)" and paste it into the "URL of a picture of you".

Aw, thanks so much hun. You're very sweet and you just made my day. As for your question, find out if your bestfriend still has feelings for her ex. If she does, I think you should lay off the guy a little bit. If she doesn't, go for it and have a great time. But no guy should be worth a friendship over. So just talk to your friend and see if she does have feelings for him or not.
