k well i had plans with this friend of mine today and i just phoned my mom to see if i could go to his house and she asked who was gonna be there and i said no one so she said no. so then we got in this big argument and she said she'd 'talk' to me when she got home cause she didn't want me to be the only girl there. but she doesn't understand that me and him are friends.. how do i make her let me have opposite gender friends?

have him come over your house a couple of times when your mom is home. she'll begin to see that you're only friends and stuff. my mom was the same way with my friend ben. i've known him since kindergarden and i had him over a couple times when she was home to show that we were just friends and now she lets me hang out with him at his house. all mothers of teenage girls are like that. i know what you're feeling. just dont complain or throw a fit...that will just be saying "i'm not mature enough to be trusted with a guy". so follow what i said and you'll be fine. good luck!

well there is this really sweet guy that i've had a crush one for 3 years since 5th grade(i'm in 7th this year and so is he)last year he went out with one of my friends so i got over him.well he's single this year and i have 2 classes with him!!! he sits behind me in both of them,we have given each other nick names,he's always flirting with me and flicking stuff at me and touches my arm alot,he says funny things that make me laugh!! i think he likes me but he gave my friend a note saying that he liked her!!! he's always touching me and making me laugh and copying what i say and constantly smiling at me!! does he like like me or not??? i need help because i like him so much!!!! i'll rate high for any real answer!!!!!

ok, well there's a few possibilities. either he is trying to get to your friend through you or he likes you and your friend. if you've liked him for this long, then either way you really need to tell your friend whether she likes him or not. he seems like he likes you...that's pretty much all the signs of a crush. your friend should also know how it seems like a crush to you. i cant really tell you what to do, but i gave you the options so now the acton is up to you. the only other option is to sit back and watch someone else scoop up this guy, but i wouldnt let it go like that. good luck w/ your decision & hope i helped!

ooooooooooookay. so i have a boyfriend that i totally love with all my heart. but the thing is...he lives in a diff state than i do. and im kinda crushing on sum1 that lives near me. i just got in a fite with my friend and she told my bf that i have been "cybering with other guys" thats totally not true. so he called me up and he kinda got mad at me. i started thinking about the whole other guy thing and now im so afraid to dump him for the other kid cause i really do love him.ahh idont know whut i should do about my bf and the other kid. i would personally go out with the guy closer to me because long distance relationships can get iffy. people could tell him that you're cheating on him or stuff like that and if he's gullable like that he's bound to believe them and bad things may come of that. if you really love him but you like the other guy too, i would say go with the one that's closer to you so you are able to keep an eye on him and be with him. i mean, what's the point of having a bf if you cant even see him that often? this is my advice, but the decision is up to you. good luck & hope i helped!

What should I wear to the mall tomorrow?

-Pinkish capris that say "Abercrombie" on the butt. And a white Abercrombie t-shirt

i think you should wear some ripped up looking jeans and the pink dressy looking tank top. you should wear your hair scrunched. ok...
1)after you get out of the shower, put mousse in your hair
2)after you put the mousse in, get a blob of gel in the palm of your hand and rub it in between you two hands
3)grab a fistful of hair and kind of squeeze it up to ur scalp...like kind of push it i guess
4)repeat until all hair is scrunched
5)spray it w/ hairspray so it will have really good hold throughout the day

well i go to school and my parents expect me to get high grades like they did or say they did when they were little but with me for some reason i dont get high grades and my parents hav been takeing my stuf away from me when i dont get high grades and i do apply myself to try to get high grades........help plz

you can ask for a tutor to show that you have been trying because i think the tutor people write a report or something like that which would show you're trying and you understand things but when it comes to certain things you just dont understand. i'm the same way and i dont think its right when parents punish their kids because the kids dont understand something in school. hope i helped!(and you could also make a study guide for every test or come up w/ something that would help you remember the stuff from class)

well i feel so left out of my family cuz somehow someone except for me is really smart. like my sister she was supposed to skip a grade. my brother is supposivly smart, i dont kno how but then my mom is smart and my dad is smart but with me i feel like i'm the only one in my family that is good at sports. it feels like everyone else is smart except me. and it shows. my parents just somehow show it. help me plz i dno wat to do

dont be afraid to be yourself and stand out. you said that you're the only one in your family who is good at sports...make the best of that! if you join teams and have your family come to games, you'll be unique and the only one in your family who plays sports. i think that'd be pretty cool. and if you wanna get smarter, study (set up a study guide type of thing for every test). you can also read...i'm not saying read the whole library, but reading is good for your brain and it'll make you smarter. hope i helped!

hey. i babysit this cute lil boy who is four. he is very good and i want to have a nice way to reward him for helping me alot. he helps clean the table and goes potty by himself. does anybody know anything i could give him or treat him to when he is good?

get him a present type thing w/ like a coloring book with crayons or something. it'll only cost about $3-$5 i think. or get something like a food for him that you know he can have that's like a candy thing just make sure its okay w/ his mom. hope i helped!

I really like this guy and well I try to tell myself that I don't. well this guy i work with likes me a lot and i only like him as a friend and i told him that a lot of times and i thought he understood that...so i act mean to him at work but i just be playin with him...and he takes it seriously and i just be like okay whatever...well he calls me sometimes i dont answer because i dont have my phone with me...but when i do answer he asks me to the movies and i said i cant because i have to work and then i gotta go out of town...and he didnt believe me that much but he accepted that...then he told me on the phone how he thinks about me and told me not to get mad...he said that he thought i was a dyke because i kept being mean to him and that im a virgin because i act so grouchy and i dont i just act mean cause im either tired or im just playin around with him...and he said a bunch of other stuff and it pissed me off so what should i do cause i dont wanna have to face him at work...another thing he said is if im gonna marry me my cousin when i get older because everytime im always talkin to my cousins or over their house and thats cause we're really cool...sorry this is so long but i dont know what to do and i dont know how to face him!!

alright, my pubic hair has grown outside of my bikini line and it's really noticable whenever i wear a bathing suit... what could i do to get rid of it besides shaving or waxing??? please help, it's like really really embaressing...

you should go to a drug store and buy hair removal cream. sally hansen works good. dont buy the one for face, no matter what brand it is, buy the one made for body hair or bikini lines. and dont use nair or veet because those are leg creams and nair never works on anything anyways. hope i helped and good luck!

I really need help!

I can't fall asleep ever, i'm getting in a really bad habbit, a REALLY bad one. School atarts in less then 3 weeks! And I start school around 6 *thats what time it's suggested that you wake up*

And I dont go to sleep un'till about 3:57 AM or atleast 6:24... Between those times. That means I'd have to stay up for almost 2 days straight!

Are sleeping pills healthy? I really have to get out of this habbit. It's going to ruin my whole school year!

And P.S: I sleep atleast untill 2 in the afternoon, Thats what time school ends. I can sleep through school!


So about the pills, what is a really good brand that really works. How long do they take to work and make you fall asleep (kick in)? I have pill-Phobia for large pills, Do they come in a big size? My parents don't want to spend over $50 for them. They want me to have a good education, do they effect your mood in anyway if you take them? How many do you take?

Sorry it was so long, but im trying to get as much information I possibally can.

i have the same problem sometimes...try reading a book or exercising right before bed...that makes you more calm, and if that doesnt help, go to the doctor and ask about sleeping pills. there's a brand called Lunesta, but i dunno how much it is or anything. hope i helped!

I have a very bad case of Arachnephobia. I've always been afraid of spiders, but it wasn't always like a phobia. (Phobia here is defined as an irrational fear that interferes with normal living). It started about a year or two ago, when after a shower, I was toweling off, and there was a large spider on my towel. I hated spiders, so I flung the towel across the room, and spend the next half hour curled up, crying. It scared me half to death. Then later, my cousins and I went to a park, and there was a profusion of spiders. My little cousin Andy loves spiders, so he pointed out every single one. They were each about 4-6 inches long. After about five minutes, I couldn't take it anymore. I hid in the car and cried. Things reached their worse when last month, I woke to find a strange bite on my arm. I figured it was just a bug bite, and ignored it. By noon that day, the area near the bite had swollen into a huge bump, about three inches long and one across, and at least a half inch high. I was feeling naseous, and terrified. I was so afraid that I refused to sleep in my bed that night.

Things have just gone down hill from there. Some nights, I won't sleep because I am afraid of the spiders. I check my blankets almost every night, and sometimes sleep in another room. I shake my towel out before using it. I check the shower and garage for spiders before entering. I know this is irrational and abnormal, but somehow I can't help it. What should I do?

i think it's totally normal. i used to be the same exact way... i always seemed to think that there was spiders crawling on me and i'd freak out every second. i used to sleep only when i was so tired that i'd pass out. now about what you can do to get over it...my mom wanted to take me to a psychiatrist and it pretty much worked. but anyways...they tell you all this jazz about how the spider is so much smaller and how it's more scared of you than you are of it. you should talk to a parent and ask them to look into it. hope i helped!

ok so im 5'5 and weigh 170 i have alot of muscle so i dont look like it' but i would still like to lose 20-30 lbs. and i dont know how. i want to lose it as fast as possible but i dont wanna do anything that isnt healthy. thnx

you can run around your neighborhood, dont drink soda, go for milk and yogurt and other dairy products and fruit veggies and water. exercise daily like half an hour to an hour (but have a water bottle by your side)...that should lose you about a couple lbs in 2 days. try to stay away from the fatty foods like candy and when you're eating meat, don't eat the fat off it (ick!). good luck and if you need anything else, drop 1 in my inbox...hope i helped!
