Okay so, my friend does hooka. I know it's a drug, but it's legal if you are 19 or something...right? Well, she is 15 and her and some of her other friends went to the hooka bar. [never been there in my life cuz i'm not that kinda girl] She told me she wasn't gonna do it again, just a one time thing because she was curious...well, turns out she's doing it again next Saturday. And she was trying to entice me to do it, saying stuff like, "It was sooo relaxing, and it made you kinda dizzy. But then you went to the dancefloor and partied and everything, it was great!" and "you should try it, it would be cool of you." and I was just like..."nahh, I'm good." The I asked her if she was hooked on it, and she was like no...you can't get hooked on hooka. Is that true? [not that I am going to try it..ever.]
But now...you ahve to understand this, she has never been a druggie in her life! And she is now doing hooka, and she just told me that tomorrow she is trying weed. Like wtf, she is turning into a druggie, and I'm friends with some, so it's not like I'm against all of them, but why ruin your life? and why is she trying to get me to do all these drugs when I tell her NO?! I don't know why I'm mad at her, I feel betrayed, she said she wouldn't do that stuff, but next thing you know shes going to hooka bars and smoking weed. I need advice, I need SOMETHING, ANYTHING! comments or whatever would be great. thanks in super advance. (link)

Well, I do not know much about hooka, but GOOD FOR YOU!!!!! It takes alot of courage to tell someone know, especially when they pressure you. You unfortunetly cant make them stop, but you can be there for them. Encourage them not to do it anymore, but if they ask you to go do it, just either say you have other plans if they keep asking, or just tell them that you dont want to do it, and you NEVER will do it. I know how you feel, I am straight edged- and i would never drink or do that either. Just be proud of yourself for standing up and saying no. They'r decision is their own. In school, especially high school you are going to find that a lot, but just because they smoke pot, doesnt mean you cant be friends with them. Just as long as you stay strong to what you believe in, and they dont get mad at YOU for not doing it with them. If they do, clearly they are not good friends. :-]

I'm a bit sad and confused right now. I feel like I'm starting to seem like the type of girl who looks like 'one of the guys' to guys. I don't know. Just recently, I was with a group of guys and I played football with them and I was the only girl. It's not like I am a tomboy though. The idea you have in your head is probably the opposite of what I actually look like and how I actually am. I am extremely feminine in the way I look and dress. However, I love playing sports and I have more guy friends then girls. But I do have friends that are girls, I just prefer guys. Normally, when I talk to guys, they feel comfortable telling me certain things guys should talk about with other guys. I'm not sure if this is good or bad. But sometimes I just hate it, because I feel like I'll always be like this in a guys eyes. I've had boyfriends. I sort of unexperienced though. The only thing I've done was kiss, not make out. I'm 15. I feel like if I keep doing what I am doing, whatever I am doing, things arent going to change. But I don't know how to act, or what to do, or what to say. I just feel sort of depressed. Ok first of all I would like to tell not only you but everyone here that a Tomboy is not really someone that acts and looks like the guys, it is usally that way but Tomboys are really just girls that arnt like the others they arnt afraid to do what they like and want to do. They dont follow trends. So really a Tomboy isnt just a girl that acts and dresses like a guy. Now I'm going to answer the question. Do what you want to do, if you want to change then change, but do it slowly so that you get use to it along the way.

i got a make-up set as a gift and there's regular mascara and then there's some clear liquid labeled "nutritional mascara." so, naturally, i googled "nutritional mascara" and got no useful results. so, i'm here to ask you guys.. what is the purpose of nutritional mascara? how do i apply it.. like do i put nutritional mascara on and then my regular mascara? or before i go to sleep, do i take off my regular mascara and put nutritional mascara on and sleep with it on? i don't understand. please & thanks. it pretty much just protects your eyelashes, because they can break, or fall out more. Some people apply that mascar first, and then "regular mascara" it also is just supposed to keep your lashes long and healthy.

oh yea...and you just use it normaly, like applying it in the morning and taking it off at night. Or however you usually use mascara :-]

Ok here is my problem, I am becoming a assistant manager at my job which require me to count money. Which means I need to know how to add + subtract. Now I can count the only deal is when some one asks like 20-7 any questions like that I have to use a calculator are even 100-22, I can't respond. Now I was in resource math in elementary thats why I am not to good at math. So what do I need to know to be able to add and subtract and respond right away. (link)

well its not too hard. ok so imagine someone asks you to subtract 22 from 100. OK so you allready have 100, and need to take away 22.
how about 100-20=80 80-2=78
so you could break it up, OR you realise that its lest than 30 and more than 20, so take away 30 from 100. 30 is too much though, and we add on on 8. quite simple if you get your head around it..practice makes perfect...:D

i like this guy a lot, and i have liked him for a really long time. The problem is, i don't know how to approach him! I've talked to him before, but I don't know how to do it again. Like, i don't know how to start talking to him or stuff. And i'm really nervous to talk to him. I don't have him in any of my classes, but I see him around school a couple of times. What can i do to help me be less nervous, and what should i say when i first talk to him? Also, should i start talking to him when he's alone, or when he's with other people? And should i go talk to him by myself, or bring my friends with me?
Or, should i just email him or something?

Just kinda playfuly tease him at first then ask him a question and then complement him on somthing then after that you wont be nervous the next time you talk to him trust me it works.

Well at my sleep away camp we have 2 dances and we always dance like this:
The boy puts his hands around your waist and you put your hands on his shoulders and you kinda just rock back and forth.

Our homecoming is on saturday, but I have a basketball game the day of! Ahh. Well the game starts at 2, but its about an hour away from my town. So I already have my dress, but I dont know what to do for my hair!. I wanted to go get it done after my game, bc its best to have dirty hair anyways, but my mom is like the dance starts at 7, and they'll be done with her around 7. If he likes you, he would go out of his way to talk to you. Like all of the time. And he would flirt with you in a subtle way because boys aren't ones to just be like, "HEY I HAVE A CRUSH ON YOU!" They'd be more like, "Hey, what's up? Do you have a screen name or cell number."
But if the guy likes you, he would compliment you and comment on how smart you are or cute and whatnot.
He may blush just a little bit, and smile around you a lot. Or try to make you laugh and give you a lot of attention.
He would also playfully tease you :] yuh know?
Those are the main things to look for.

There was a conversation about lotions and essential oils. Usually, certain oils are used in lotions to help with dryness such as almond oil or other vegetable oils. I heard that if they are absorbed by the skin, it can actually turn into fat. That seems completely ridiculous to me. Has anyone heard of this or is it just rumor?? Is there any lotion that does this?? Or does the skin just not work that way?? Any ideas?? thanks!! (link)

Uhm yeah, that is jacked up. haha. If that were even a little bit true most people you see would be blimps by now, so that is definetly a rumor. I really doubt that the skin works that way, I like HIGHLY doubt it. Check out this article:

Ok so I have a huge crush on this guy. Oh by the way I'm 13/f. I'm in 8th grade too. Well my school is year round so I am off for the rest of this month and Feb. Well he talks to me a lot. And I have 3 classes with him. He sits behind me in one and sits next to me in another and the last one is P.E. so we don't really sit. But he pulls my hair when he sits behind my and he is so funny. He drops something then I pick it up. He is hilarious though, he can make anyone laugh. The thing is I never have the guts to start talking to him and we have never really had a real conversation except once. But I wanna know how to talk to him like start a conversation. So like a few things you could say would be...
-talk about the class you are in, like if he gets whats going on and stuff.
-when he pulls your hair, jokingly say something like, "so you like my hair? jealouss?" and then laugh about it.
-Ask him about himself, like if he plays any sports and things like that or what he likes to do.
You'll get used to eachother and learn about one another, feeling more comfortable later on. Trust me :]
