Alright so I'm going to a new school/high school/whatever and I'm really nervous because I don't know anyone and I want to impress people and I want people to notice me and talk to me. So I was thinking about wearing this outfit:

-Bluejeans from Hollister/A&F/AE
-Tanktop from Hollister/A&F/AE
-Flip-Flops from Hollister/A&F/AE
-Bag from Hollister/A&F/AE

Is this dumb or retarded? I really want to impress people and stuff.

Just wear what ever the heck you want- who cares what you look like- people aren't going to remember you by what you wore on the first day anymore than what you wore yesterday or any other day. What people will remember you by is how you acted as a person- not what you decided to wear to impress people. If someone is going to talk to you and hope to be your friend only because you're wearing Hollister- what kind of friend is that? One that only cares about your appearance- not your personality. That isn't someone you should try to be friends with. Wear something that makes you comfortable and something that you like. If you like what you're planning on wearing- then so be it. Don't wear it for the wrong reasons.

Rate me low or whatever- but what I just said is something you needed to hear, whether you'll admit it or not.

I'm going to be a freshman on monday, and i dont know anyone at the highschool cause I moved. I realllly want to make a good first impression, so this is what I was thinking.

For my birthday I'm having a huge scavenger hunt in Boston, MA, with a bunch of my friends. The types of things to find are like "a hot guy" and take a picture with them, or something funny like that. I'm having a tough time figuring out too many things, so I wanted to know if anyone had some ideas. I'm turning 17, so it can be R rated. Haha, just kidding, but yeah you get the idea.

okay i met this guy at school and i was waiting for my friend to get out of the classroom and and this guy looked at me and said hi to me so i said hi and we introduced to eachother and everyday we talk and after that we do give a lot of high fives (its like we were clapping kind of high fives) and we even hold hands after we do that im sure we liked eachother and we flirt and stuff but then when my friend asked "do you like ella?" and he said"oh her name is ella?" i was shocked when he didnt even know my name but i did and we're holding hands do you think he just like me in physical way?

Okay- first of all- if a guy is going to flirt with you or any girl- he should at least know the girl's name. If he doesn't even know something as SIMPLE as that- he's shallow. You're right; he only likes you physically.

UGH! This gives such a bad name to guys. I would never be this shallow- and its guys like this that piss me off. TREAT A GIRL RIGHT- and in this case- KNOW THE GIRL'S NAME!

Please, for the sake of yourself, find a guy who will like you enough to actually know your name.

Ok, a guy came to my school in November 2006. He ended up in my science class, and the teacher sat him next to me, not next to some of the guys( She organized the seating plan as we were all annoying her.) At first he was shy..obviously as he was new. Because we have Science in three different classrooms I was expecting him to sit somewhere else since it was with only one teacher we had a seating plan with...anyway.
We sat next to each other in all three science classes..and in maths he sat in front of me..and he'd turn around to talk to me, or generally just make me laugh.

Since he came, we've grown closer and closer. He would tease me, be a b*tch (in a joking way) or be really nice and caring. I was annoyed at some friends, so I went to talk to him, and he didn't say anything negative.

During the summer he asked me out..out as in go out to a place..not out as in ''lets be a couple'' and I asked if he wanted to invite anyone else..and he said ok, so I invited some friends and he said fine but then on the day he told me couldn't go..and I still think it was an excuse, cause he wanted just us two to go out...and since I'm changing schools, he keeps telling me that he will miss me(but I'm staying in the same country)

I do like him quite a lot..but I donno what exactly is going on. Can you tell me.

Also he is quite flirty around girls...

So- I think that this guy probably has feelings for you. And I think you're right in thinking that he was upset that you invited friends. Anytime a guy is this flirty with you or any girl and then asks you to do something with just you two- HE LIKES YOU. Trust me- when I like a girl- this is how I think.

There is something called Pre-cum, which I think is what you are talking about. This still contains sperm, though not as much as actual cum. Sperm, whehter in pre-cum or cum can get you pregnant. So yes, there is a chance that you can be pregnant, although it is unlikely. Take a test just to be sure. Next time, please use protection, like a condom, if you're going to be doing things.

1999 was a big party year. Y'know- it was the last year of the 20th century. People wanted to party it up and such. It was a song in 1999/2000. I can't remember who its by.. but it was a song.

It might have something to do with the fact that people thought the world was ending when it turned 2000. Like they thought the power would be gone forever and the computers would have huge glitches and viruses.

Let's say I said "Bacon Cheeseburgers make the world go round". This would mean I believed that Bacon Cheeseburgers are so important they literally make life go on and the world spin.

I know this isn't really asking for advice, but the last few days I was just thinking about this and wondering why the people here joined.

I guess it is just out of pure curiosity. I would have just posted this in the moderator forum or in the supporter discussion, but I'd rather see why everyone joined rather than just those who have been here for some time and such.

So, why did you join advicenators and why are you still here? What about the site made you want to stay?

I joined Advicenators because I was having serious problems with my best friend who I liked and she had stopped talking to me. Then- I never really needed advice again until about a month later- and I realized that I really liked giving advice. Now- one and a half years later, I've answered almost 1,000 questions- and my new goal will be 1,000 a year once I get to 1,000. I have an iPod nano (blue) and was wondering if you can put podcasts on it because there's a podcasts category on there. If you can, how do you? I have some podcasts downloaded but it won't go on my iPod, I already converted it too. Maybe I have too many songs? (193) Thanks!

With your iPod nano plugged into your computer- and your iTunes open- go on the left hand side and it should say "WhateverName"'s iPod > Click that- and it should show how much space you are using on your iPod. There is a bar with different colors on it to show how much space is used up. Like "Audio" and "Pictures", etc. and if the bar is full- then your iPod can't have Podcasts on it. I'm pretty sure that nanos can have Podcasts- not sure about VIDEO Podcasts- but Audio ones, I'm pretty sure are able to be on it.
Anyway- you might have too many songs on your iPod and maybe deleting some or un-syncing them to your iPod and just keeping them in your iTunes, just not having them on your iPod- if that makes sense.

Do junior highs have Homecoming for freshman?
Or is it only for sophomores, juniors, and seniors?

Well- I guess it depends on your school.

If being in 9th grade, usually called being a Freshman, in your town means you're still going to a school with 7th and 8th graders, then no, you probably won't have a freshmen homecoming dance.

However- if you attend high school with seniors, juniors and sophomores, then you most likely WILL have a homecoming dance.

Check with an upperclassmen in your school district. Maybe call the principal and ask him/her.

what is being passive-aggressive? try to not post links. if someone can explain in their own words that would be great. ive tried wikipedia and urbandictionary and doesnt really help.

Alright- to explain this- I'll have to set up a fake scene. Let's say you and I get into an argument and you are my friend. You take back something I gave to you awhile back- like a friendship ring or something. Then let's say tomorrow we're at a party together and I'm talking to a few friends and I say, "Boy, I really think its dumb when people take things back from other people- isn't that SO lame? People that do that are just dumb," etc., etc.
What I would be telling people would make me passive-aggressive. If I was active-aggressive, I would be telling you that you were dumb to your face. Being passive about it would mean I wasn't saying it to your face, but I meant you to hear what I said.

I have to get up at 6:00 A.M for high school... In your opinion, is it better to shower the night before, or when you wake up? Because, I have P.E...and when I take a shower, I preferably wash my hair. So, which way do you do it? This is a really weird question LOL

Hey.

Ever since I can remember I was taking night showers- then I realized- having longer hair for a guy defeats the purpose of showering at night and waking up to find greasy hair. Obviously if you look at my picture- I got my hair cut recently, but I find that taking morning showers is better. That way you know you'll smell nice and stuff right before school- you don't have to risk having a hot night destroy the purpose of the shower.

So therefore- its better to take it in the morning so you're all fresh right then and there =D.

Hey um, every time I put a picture up its really small. I use imageshack.us and do that...how do I make the picture bigger? I tryed paint...that didnt work.

Hey.

Are you resizing your picture in paint CORRECTLY?

Open Paint.
Open your picture.
Go under 'Image' at the top.
Find 'Stretch/Skew'.
Type in a size for horizontal and vertical LARGER than 100- so try 200. Then 110, then 110 again, until you get it to the size you desire.
Save your picture to your computer in a file easily found.

Then go to www.tinypic.com [I'm assuming its easier than any other picture hosting site]. Then click 'Browse' next to the upload box. Find your saved picture. Click it. Click 'Upload'. Then it will give a URL in the bottom box. Copy it. Go to http://www.advicenators.com/settings.php and next to the "URL of a picture of you:" paste the URL.

Go to the bottom of the page and click "Submit".

Then go to your column and view it =D.
