3. a best friend has to be honest and someone you can be yourself around. its good to have an opinionated best friend, but its BAD to have a rude friend who tells you what you're doing wrong and what to wear and you should do this and you should do that. a best friend will act like a brother/sister to you and defend you and stick up for you.

should i lose weight to make a guy like me? i mean i AM little overweight and my parents think so too and ive gained like 10 pounds, so im like 15 pound overweight! so i am wondering because i think guys havent asked me out yet is becuase of this! i know 2 guys who already liked me but they thought i was funny and nice and everything.. im not wow fat, but should i lose weight now? because is this the last straw?
i say go for it, if you think that loosing 15 pounds will boost your confidence, try it. go on a healthy diet and exercise. theres nothing wrong with being healthy

i dont wanna care what ppl think of me and what they will say about me but i dont know how to get over that feeling. if i have more confidence then people will think im cool and hang out with me. im not in public school but i have a youth group thing i go to and only like 2 ppl hang out with me. i wanna hang out with the "cool" kids, but they are all outgoing and not shy at all and stuff....how can i get like that???
hmmm well i can honestly say that i am a very outgoing person, and i guess it doesn't really come naturally. i used to be shy and layed back like you. my advice is to just smile ALOT, every time you pass people say HEY WHATS UP! and smile, and when you are involved in group conversations raise your hand alot and give your input. also, be very opinionated. thats part of being outgoing. be nice to EVERYONE even if you cant stand the person. people love nice people. if you're out with your youthgroup, don't just sit there and look bored, walk around and say hi to everyone and ask how they are. in school, i get lots of people to talk to me because i just go up to random people and ask how they are and how their weekend was, now they all talk to me. so you should show that you are an open person and they are welcome to talk. if you look like you're shy and uncomfortable then no one will want to talk to you. just look happy and giddy all the time and make small talk. i hope my advice goes to good use.

hi..okay i had asked this guy i liked out to do something with me..before this we hadnt' rally talked too much but he sorta followed me a little at lunch and i cud tell and it was pretty cute..ppl told me that he prolly likes m n stuff so wen i asked him he sed he didnt know if he cud make it to where we were going..then on monday (i has asked on friday)he completely ignored me and on tuestday too..What do u think this means? im gonna be honest with you, and dont take offence. he probably just liked you as a friend, and it was awkward for you to ask him out to do something and he might not have wanted to because he might not like you like that. now he might be avoiding you for fear that you might ask him out again and he'd have to think of an excuse not to. OR he could really like you alot and he thinks you might ask him out again and he's shy and nervous. as for what to do? just leave it be. if he doesnt follow you, dont follow him. if he doesnt talk to you, dont talk to him. time will pass eventually and just wait it out!

Ok....I'm a single girl, 16 yrs old, Junior in high school. And there is a guy in my school, who is a grade ahead of me who had expressed that he likes me and "thinks im hot" and yadda yadda yadda. believe it or not, it may be your sense of humor that pushes people away. some people think the funny guys are annoying. try being a little less sarcastic and more sensitive (not saying you aren't, im just saying act that way)... and unfortunately people judge others on the way they look, slash how they dress (i know thats sad, but its true) so you can try changing that, even tho i strongly support being yourself tho. just change your attitude. ask people how they are, and how their day is going. and when you pass people in the halls just be like HEY WHATS UP! and people will like you more. trust me, i've been thru it all...
