Sometimes you don't even get any symptoms or warning signs at all before it starts. The common ones would probably be:

-Stomach pains
-Feeling upset (usually with no reason)
-Feeling very anxious (usually once you wake up)
-Lots of discharge
-Headaches
-Eating more or less

Just don't worry so much about you getting it during school! It's not like a ton of blood will come out at once for the first time and be completely obvious. Usually in the first few days it's kind of light (could be different for you, however). You'll know once you get it, I'm sure. Just make sure you ask to go to the bathroom immediately, because having a leak isn't fun!
I'd highly suggest keeping an extra pad or something hidden in your bag or locker, just in case, since you're at the age you should be getting it soon. (:

XOXO
KAT.

There isn't particularly any warning signs. You will just know. you'll feel different. Your body might ache and you might get stomach cramps. You might start blowing up at everyone for no reason and you might probably get over emotional. That's what happened to me. Other than that, just make sure to keep a pad or a tampon nearby. HOpe I helped!

Mine was when I was 13.
I was having stomach pains and also I felt pissed off even though it was one of the best days I'd had in ages.
I went to the toilet to pee, and when I wiped there was blood on the toilet paper.

So watch out for cramps, moodyness, headaches and keep a pad in your schoolbag or whatever.

Just so you know, enjoy the days when you don't have your period. :)
They are just annoying.
Even though I have painless ones.

All girls are differen when it comes to these things.
I got my period when i was only 9.
I remember getting cramps real bad like a week before i actually got it.
And i know that alot of my friends say that they get breast pains before they get their period.
I think you should just check yourself if you ever get cramps in your lower stomach.
I have had accidents at school before, and it isnt fun. =[
Hope i helped!

cramping for everyone is different. my best friend has cramps really bad, like she doesnt move off the couch for her entire period. where as i on the other hand, i get cramps the same day as i get my period or the day before and they last only that one day and sometimes i get sick well not throwing up but just not feeling good that first day. so keep your mind open when you think its just a stomach ache. also when your vaginal discharge gets thick that could be a sign, i heard that somewhere. but if your scared, just make it a point everyday in school to go to the bathroom like twice a day and just check, its a pain but your first period id think will be thatt heavy so it doesnt soak through that fast depending on what your wearing. and keep a pad on you at all times.

Mine was least expected.
I had wanted it so bad and it never came that I eventually forgot.

Before I had mine, I had to pee a lot. Like, I had the urge to.
I also had a really bad headache and a really bad stomach ache.
I was really grouchy too.

hope i helped. let me know.
