Cheerleaders. Like or Dislike?
Why do most people hate cheerleaders?
I don't understand it at all.

Some people do and some people don't. I think it's because of Hollywood. Hollywood made them look horrible and 'bitchy' in all there movies that include cheerleaders. They hate them because they are always perky and some people hate that. It's how they cheer with theier gestures and movements that annoy people. Also, their attitude. They sound so high-pitched slutty bitches. I am not a huge fan of cheerleading because I don't like their dance, not who they are. To answer your question, many people hate cheerleaders because how Hollywood made them sound like. It begins at a young age when you see movies with cheerleaders.

Most people hate cheerleaders basically from what they see in the movies. They're sterotyped as the slutty, snobby girls who get the captain of the football team. Making every other girl feel inferior to them, because they "rule the school." In reality, not ALL cheerleaders are like this. Every school has bitches, and maybe they just happen to be cheerleaders at the time, too. People are still people though.
I'm friends with some cheerleaders here, and they are most defently not stuck-up or bratty.
People just need to get over themselves and realize that the movies don't really explain reality.

okay. umm I am a cheerleader. and mostly its because of like people think they are snobs and stuff. which someitmes they can be but im NOT. and yeah people are just jealous. cause most cheerleaders are hott. and then like the guys like them and stuff! so yeah!

i am a former cheerleader.
not all cheerleaders - none on my squad
are snobby and what you see on TV.
somegirls are just hard core bitches.
you find them everywhere and some
girls just try to be like everyone
else but if you really get to know
them they aren't rude.
but yes people are stereotypical and
extremely judgemental so someone
may have had a horrible encounter with
a cheerleader once and so in their
mind.. thats how all of them are.

Most people are friends with them so they can share the power or just won't get stepped on by them... but secretly hate them. so some may seem like they lke them but really don't. most cheerleaders seem like they lke you ... but they don't. it's typical high school fakeness. <3

People are stereotypical.
I don't hate cheerleaders personally,
but a lot of people do.
It's because they're always portrayed as snotty, rude, and stuck up.
This dosen't mean that they all are, neccessarily, because some cheerleaders are the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Like I said, it's stereotypical and how cheerleaders are portrayed in movies, televison, etc. is how people view them in real life.

in my school they complain about every little thing
like they think what they do is so hard,
when really it's not
i could wave my hands in the air, kick around, and scream
i don't see them doing speed workouts, getting muddy and dirty, getting their hair ruined out in the rain, or actually breaking a good sweat like all of the other sports, so they're not anything special, but they think they are.
yeah and blah blah blah, they're snotty, so on and so forth, but i don't know any of them personally, but i'm sure theres some of them who aren't like that.
plus they're high maintenance, i mean come one get over yourself

because most people look at cheerleader in the teen movie kind of way.. bitchy and stuck up. but that's not always the case. sure, there are some cheerleaders who think they're better than everyone else, but i also have some friends who are cheerleaders and they're cool.

Well I don't have a hate for all cheerleaders, but I know a lot of them are people that I would never associate with. I think that a lot of them let the "cheerleader" label get into their heads and they automatically think they're the leaders of the entire school, not just of the "cheer".
I don't talk about how I despise cheerleaders and they should all die and all that, because I personally just don't care. I used to hang out with a few cheerleaders, but they betrayed me big time, so I tend to stay away from that crowd.
I even know preppy people who don't like cheerleaders. There are decent girls in there, but generally they are seen as stuck up bitches who care about nothing but themselves. They're pretty and they KNOW they're pretty. They aren't afraid to flaunt it. A lot of people don't like that.
I'd say MY general dislike of cheerleaders is more of an general dislike of teenage females...because most of them are like that no matter what clique they're a part of. Girls are self absorbed bitches...which is why I stick to guys. :]

Cheerleaders are immediately associated with the high privelaged, popular prep crowd. Its not MOST people, its people who're more into the skater/goth/punk/emo thing, because of the stereotypical hatred of prep and all things preppy. The stereotype of cheerleaders as being very "pink" and slutty and having everything they want is totally overplayed by Hollywood, but thats just how it is.
I personally don't get along with the cheerleaders at my school, but thats based on personality clashes, not the fact that they're cheerleaders. :)

Okay, People disliking cheerleaders is all stereotyping. People get dumb Ideas from movies mostly. In the movies, cheerleaders are always gorgeous blonds who get the captain of the football team, and are total jerks to every one "inferior" to them. So every one thinks they think they're better then everyone and they're probably wrong. I myself don't mind cheerleaders, but hey, people are stupid.

They think of them as rude and snotty. It is just a stereotype that has grown into a craze among people, which still stands today. People get jealous too, because cheerleaders are also stereotyped as getting all of the cute boys, and the jocks.
