Leggings with skirts?

Question Posted Wednesday June 20 2007, 5:23 pm

I know that leggings and short denim skirts have been a trend and probably are still a trend for some people. I wear leggings whenever I wear a short skirt because they're just more comfortable. I don't have to worry about my skirt lifting up when I wear leggings. But... is this look still in style? I saw a whole bunch of people wearing it at my school and this year at my school, but ever since my friend said it looked tacky I've been noticing less people wearing it these days. I still wear it. I just don't want to look like an unfashionable weirdo. Is this look still "in" at your school? Tell me what you think.

No, this look isn't "in" at my school. However, some people do still wear them, and it's not really "Out". It's just not all the rage anymore.

Forget your friend, wear the leggings if you like. Seriously, you won't look unfashionable. Go for it.

I personally think that it's very comfortable, keeps you warm in the cold days, and as you said, it prevents from flashing everyone by mistake.

Wear it if you like it. There's not reason you should be a conformist. If you like it, wear it. If you don't, don't wear it. It's your choice. Be a nonconformist with me =] If you friends say that they look tacky, good for them. But it shouldn't affect you along with the fact that it may be winding down at your school

And yes, it is "in" at my school.

it deff. doesnt matter what your homo friend says.

i wear them in the winter, because when its cold, there comfy. and there very in with certain clothes. all the really super stylish girls, wear them at my school. but of course i live in fricken ohio, where everyones kinda behind on fashion. haha but, if you live somewhere like ohio, then yahh its deff in. i like them occassionally, and i think there cute. who cares what anyone says, they are comfy. and they are cute, espically if the outfits put together right. and, if you look in alot of magainzes, like seventeen, they show them.

soo yah. if you like them, wear them. it doesnt really matter, if its in or not, it just matters how good you look in it.

That look's been "out" for about a year or so at my school. (Medium sized town in CA, somewhat large high school). People still wear it every once in a while, but it's not really in style.

Black leggings and denim skirt is just overdone. If you're gonna do leggings and a skirt, do something different.
EX
Camo skirt and black leggings
Black skirt and red leggings
Knee length, light colored, flowy skirt and grey leggings
White skirt and white leggings

Also, try to avoid wearing flats or converse with them, instead try heels, flip flops, wedges, etc.

I think trends are stupid to be honest. Some people still wear them at my school. If you like what you're wearing, than forget trends. Everyone should dress the way they want and the way the feel is comfortable for them. Your friend is silly don't listen to them, if you like it that is all that matters. =)

I think they're as ugly as anything. Don't follow trends, but if you wear it and like it, go ahead. Wear what you feel comfortable in, not what everyone else is. Duh.
