MelLeDisko answered Saturday January 20 2007, 3:49 pm: Haha, no, not at all.
I don't really get why other peopel do it either. I guess they think it looks cute and stuff, cause have you ever noticed whenever girls make their profiles and stuff, everything's all lined up? Well I guess it looks cute, and it helps align all the words and everything.
To me, it sounds dumb. Cause if you really think about what they're saying they're gonig "peaches and and cream", which looks silly wheneevr I imagine people really saying it, haha.
theymos answered Saturday January 20 2007, 3:20 pm: In javascript and other scripting/programming languages, && is the operator for and. So i<=5&&i>=0 means i is less than or equal to 5 AND greater than or equal to 0. That's my theory on how that originated. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
soccergurlie1220 answered Saturday January 20 2007, 10:58 am: I do that alot because i just think it looks better. I usually put call&&txt and i think that looks better than call&txt.
orphans answered Saturday January 20 2007, 9:35 am: When people started making xanga layouts, they could make the fonts italicize/bold/underline pretty. '&&' filled up more space when they need to italicize/bold/underline, then it just caught on. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

people think its funny and cute but its SO annoying
S_C answered Saturday January 20 2007, 7:47 am: Some people just think it looks cute. There's no true meaning for it. Possibly an emphasis on the word and? But it's really just because for some reason they think it looks good.
