Hey. It's actually probably better if you don't wash your face as much as you do because that can cause breakouts as well. Get an acne face wash and keep it down to washing your face once a day. Also try to keep your hair away from your face when you sleep because the oil from your hair can cause acne if it gets on your face. Keep trying proactiv but if you don't see positive results expierment with other acne control systems. Good luck ♥ fabulous

You're probably washing your face too much, if that even sounds possible! The chemicals in the soaps can actually dry out your skin if used too much, which causes your skin to produce more oil than it normally should to hydrate itself. This ends up clogging your pores, and you break out! So lay off on the face washes for a while, and just use them once a day. Look for a mild, oil-free face wash too. If you need to wash your face again during the day, just use cool water, or if it's getting oily, use oil-blotting sheets. (about $4).

first of all proactive rocks! it really works, i use it too, and ive been told my face looks alot better! back to you! give proactive time, it will clear up. Maybe your washing it too hard. YOu should GENTLY scrub it, just clensing the olis off. THen PAT dry. don't rub your face dry becasue its skin. and you need not be so rough with it. next when you use the proactive toner, use a cotton ball and pat it on, wait till it dries then add your moistureizer. once a week if you have it use the proactive face mask!. it makes your face more soft. Maybe your over washing it. try using the toner and moistureizer in the morning and all of it at night. If proactive really isn't working, Maybe try these: good skin -kohls,noxzema -target, or olay -don't know where to find this! hope it helps

My advice is to not wash your face that much or to try something different, instead of proactive.

try not to wash your face so much. if you use too many products and wash it too much, it can actually make your face worse. if nothing is still working for you, try going to a dermotologist & they can probably prescribe something for you. =]

Sometimes you may over wash your face.

My suggestion is to wash your face while youre in the shower. also try changing the soap/face wash you use your face may not be capitable with the wash you use.
Proctive should help by I would only use it once a day instead of twice a day.
Hope I Helped.

hey, just like everyone said your washing your face to much. give your face a break. i found that proactive made my pimples worse. it made me breakout even more. using clearasil worked so much better for me. its cheaper and you can get it at like walmart. just use that when you get up in the morning and before you go to bed at night. get one of there face wash products and also there clearsil cleaning pads.

You seem to be overwashing.

Just use proactive, okay?

It's the best thing, so since you're breaking out more.

It will take a bit longer to get rid of. Don't stress out though.

Don't wash in the shower unless you are using proactive (use it in the morning & night)

Sometimes soap can make it worse as well as face wash. Some products worsen acne.

Give proactive a month.

I got a major difference.

If that doesn't work, drop a question in my inbox.

if you are washing your face with just soap and water then change the soap. if you are using proactive then change the acne medicine it doesnt matter how much it costs it matters if it works so it can be cheap. proactive doesnt work for anyone i use it and it works for me but it doesnt work for my friend so may i recommend biore. it works great and you use it in the shower so it is GREAT!!!

theymos answered Tuesday December 26 2006, 9:23 pm:
benzoyl peroxide, hydrogen peroxide, and rubbing alcohol will get rid of acne. Don't get that stuff in your eyes or mouth, though; and don't mix them. Wash your face as you normally would, not especially hard or more often; that can actually make it worse. Take a look at this wikipedia article for more info:

It is possible to wash your face too much. Try just doing it once daily. Also, you might want to try to switch face washes.
