Drink as much water as you can possibly stomach and you will lose weight.
Don't drink soda AT ALL.
Cut out sugary foods and chocolate. Replace them with fruit.
Instead of three big meals eat four or five small meals a day. Don't EVER skip a meal, especially not breakfast. Breakfast jump starts your day and your metabolism and tells your body to burn calories when you work out.
Hope that helps. Also, here is a website for some stomach exercises. I know you didn't just have a baby but they help target areas that we all have problems with.
holahayley56 answered Saturday July 15 2006, 10:57 pm: Your not fat at all. Your BMI is normal. Your fine. don't worry. Also, don't compare yourself to twigs in your grade. I used to do that, & thought I was fat.. & then I realized, I was normal.

wretchedmelody answered Saturday July 15 2006, 6:31 pm: Not eating is not the answer. This is because if you don't eat at all, your body will think it's being starved, and every single bit of food that goes into your mouth will be converted into fat so that your body can use it later - you may actually lose weight to begin with..but if you ever start to eat normally again, you will gain TONS of weight. Anorexia or any eating disorder is totally the wrong answer. People have died because of eating disorders.
I understand taht you're exerscising three to four times a week, but are you doing the same exercises? Sometimes it helps to vary the exercises you're doing. If you only do cardio, you'll have a great strong heart, but your abs might be suffering. If you lift weights every day you work out, you might have really strong arms, but not enough endurance or cardio. The trick is balance. I understand that some exercises can't be done because of physical limitations but you should do your best.
Also, a proper diet is necessary to be healthy. Not diet as in "no carbs" or something like that; but simply eating the right way. Lean meats, such as fish and chicken, some deer and other meats are extremely healthy, as well as plenty of fruits and veggies. Instead of eating three cookies for a snack, eat a banana or a kiwi. Try sticking away from sports drinks and especially sodas. Don't eat dessert every night, or only as a special treat.
By the way, as of right now, your BMI [Body Mass Index] is 23. Twenty-three is actually a perfect score. It's the high-end of a perfect score, but you're fine where you are.

whatever you do, do not stop eating. Your body will then go into survival mode and then when you do start eating again, everything will automatically start sticking to your body.
FYI...
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so be sure to eat a big healthy breakfast. And do not do any late night snacking. Make dinner the last thing you eat.
I was told by a culinary teacher to eat like a King at breakfast, eat like a Prince at lunch, and eat like a pauper (poor person) at dinner.
MHScutie87 answered Saturday July 15 2006, 5:33 pm: First of all, your not to small. I'm 5'0 and I'm almost 16. Second of all, your body will go into 'survival mode' if you do not eat so you will actually gain weight. Exercising is good so keep up with that. Try eating smarter also. Instead of grabbing a cookie and a coke after school try some water and celery with ranch. Tiny decisions like that can really help.
advicer answered Saturday July 15 2006, 5:25 pm: First of all, you aren't fat. If you don't eat, you'll end up gaining weight because your body stores the fat. But if you really want to lose weight, eat healthier and exercise, but don't starve yourself. hope i helped =) [ advicer's advice column | Ask advicer A Question ]
