BR000TAAL answered Friday June 23 2006, 5:20 pm: Masturbation is a way of exploring your body and finding a way to be comfortable with yourself. It is not a sin and nothing to be ashamed of. It is actually a positive thing. [ BR000TAAL's advice column | Ask BR000TAAL A Question ]
Melody answered Friday June 23 2006, 1:02 pm: Some people think it is & others don't. It usually depends on what religion you believe in. As for me personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. But depending on your religion, i'd ask someone who believe the same things you do. armoandrew answered Friday June 23 2006, 1:40 am: Yes, it is considered a sin in christianity. Although I really don't think if judgement day ever comes god will decide to send you to hell just because you masturbated haha. So even if you're very religious, don't worry about it. kristen22 answered Friday June 23 2006, 12:32 am: Sounds like a setup to me, create humans with the desire but then tell them its evil to act on it!
Technically speaking the bible does say it's a sin. Some bible's have something like this on the topic of mastubation "It is better to spread your seed among a hores belly than to let it fall to the ground" yea lol not the exact words but close enough.
Krupple answered Friday June 23 2006, 12:18 am: Many people refer to the story of Onan to show that masturbation is a sin, according to the Bible. However, God told Onan to impregnate his dead brother's wife. When he was having sex with her, he pulled out before he ejaculated, and God killed him.
Many people believe God killed him for wasting his sperm. I and many others believe God killed him for disobeying the order to impregnate her.
clearlypink428 answered Thursday June 22 2006, 11:57 pm: its hugely controversial- i can guarantee you that. now wether or not it is a sin- i think it fully depends on your religion- and even your personal beliefs combined. i am pentecostal- but ican tell you that that subject is not one normally discussed in a service- - althoguh some people have found scripture to try and prove that wrong. some say that there is no harm in it unles it is perverted ad with another person of the same sex, or if it is with a person of the opposite sex before marriag.e others say tht your body is s temple of christ- (which is stated in the bible)- and that it doesnt in fact belong to you- but to God, and that by masturbating it is defiling property that is not yours. its all in how you see it.
