a dance
well at my school there's going to be a dance. i have a dress already but not shoes. but anywayz i'm not sure if i should go. i mean like, i'm afraid it's going to be wack. and i KNOW no one is going to ask me, but should i go?
note- a semiformal i'm 13yrs.old and in eight grade

I would say definitly go. I went to dances alone sometimes in middle school and you know what, sometimes they were more fun alone. Then you can dance with your girl friends and act silly and not have to worry about the date aspect. As far as it being wack, as long as your friends go you can have a good time. Friends, music and dancing can lead to a silly time. Besides that, middle school dances, beleive it or not, you will remember all your life. My friend and I were just discussing and thinking back fondly of ours the other day

They had a semiformal at my junior high too.. some people went with dates and others just went with groups of friends. Even if you don't get asked, just go with a group of your friends and have a good time. This is the last one of the year, probably, and it's a good way to end the year on a positive note. I'm a junior in high school right now, and if there's one thing I've learned it's that if you sit at home, you KNOW you're going to have a lame time. At least if you go to the dance you'll be around your friends and there's at least a chance of having a good time. Go and enjoy yourself... even if the dance does blow... make your own fun by making fun of it.

Yes, you should. Go out and have some fun. And if you don't get asked go with friends and you'll have an hell of a time. Dance your ass off and make the dance worth going too. If you need help picking shoes, you know where to find me. Hope this helps and have fun.

Just make sure you have someone to go with. It doesn't have to be a guy, just a close friend who doesn't have a date either or something, yenno?

With the whole shoes thing, make sure the shoes are comfortable. My sister's friend/friend's sister just wears ballet slippers or jazz shoes to dances because she knows her feet will hurt if she doesn't. (Hmm...this is the girl that twisted her ankle because of her like 5 inch heel...anywayz)
And you should definitely go, with or without a guy. Your 8th grade dance is only going to roll around once and you don't want to miss it. I promise that if you go, you will have fun with friends. Also, if you see a cute shy guy standing alone by the wall, why don't you just go and ask him for a dance?

i deffinitally think you should go. just go to ahng out. and have a good time. dont worry about the stupid boys who dont ask you. you never know who could end up asking you to dance once your their anyway. i doubt its gonna be wack because its your 8th grade dance so no matter what - its gonna be memorable. and for the show problem - go to like DSW (if you have one near you) or like a khols or target or even homegoods. they all ahev ADORABLE shoes for really good prices. and alot of times people cant even tell that you got em from there. good luck and enjoy yourself. atleast you can go to your 8th grade dance.
