Am I crazy?
Am I missing something? Do most girls lose their virginities by the time they're 16? I'm just amazed, because when I was 12, NOBODY was having sex, or even kissing... and now I hear about 12 year olds having sex! I'm 18, so I'm not THAT old...

Aint that a shocker and just sad. Girls that are doing that aren't setting a good example and vibe for the girls coming in the future like our kids coming in the future. Especially in my high school i have girls in sophmore year getting birth control in the regular!!! By Junior year we have a quite few of pregnant girls every year. We even have a pregnant 14 year old freshman right now. It makes me made and seems like we have more sluts, whores, and unlady like girls this generation more than ever. Aint that somethin? personally i think it's a really big mixture. I know people wh lost their virginity at a young age like around 12 and others that lost in in their late teens/early twenties, so it really depends on people's choices.

Oh I know, ALOT of girls are losing there virginity by the time their 16.For kids my age, i guess its more common and accepting now.When teens starting having sex at my school they were about 13 or 14.Kids i think do it for the fun and pleasure of it and dont really think about the meaning behind it.I used to agree on sex after marriage but now i think if you really deeply cre and love someone and your not married then go for it as long as you dont regret it and know the conciquences(sorry about the spelling).But yeah i totally disagree with the whole having sex at like 13 thats just WAY too young.I think a good age is like 16 or 17 to start having sex because you kinda know more about it,and are more mature.

I'm 13 and i have quite a few mates in the year below who are 12. Most of them have snogged a guy, and its considered really strange if you havnt kissed anyone. I'm not sure if anyone that age has had sex, but a few of them do touch each other up/finger/get fingered. And i know quite a few 13/14 year olds who arent virgins

Yes, I know exactly what you mean and frankly, I think it's sick and wrong that someone would make/force/let a 12 year old girl (or a boy) give up their virginity at such a young age. That doesn't mean anything. It just means that heir parents don't care enough about them so they don't care about themselves. If you're a virgin, that's a very good thing. You want to lose it to a guy who doesn't LIVE for that! You want to lose it to a guy that says "Baby, if you're not ready, we can wait. I don't mind." and actually means that! I hear all the time on the news "13 year old girl kidnapped after meeting up with a 36 yar old man to have sex with him intentionally!" UGH! How can anyone do that?
"Most girls" do lose their virginities by the age of 16 but the other half of those girls are as smart as you. I'm 14 but I know a lot about this kind of thing. I would never ever have sex at my age now! NEVER! For one thing, I'm scared and for another thing, it's wrong! I don't care who he is! I will not give up something that I will never get back! I may seem young and you may not believe I'm 14 because I'm so mature and above my years, you might say but I thought it'd be better to get advice on this from a 14 year old girl since girls in my grades and even grades YOUNGER than me are doing it! Don't feel stupid about asking this question, just because someone younger than you gave you advice. :-) I just happened to be 14 and it's better to have advice from someone that age in the modern era. :-)

Yeah I know what you mean its really grossing me out it's like dont these girls realize their giving up the respect they diserve to a guy that hasnt begun to diserve it. It's not all kids do that, but some do. Things like that always depend on the way they're raised, their friends, their morals, and/or their religious beliefs.
But, now the media has gone crazy. Movies that are rated PG-13 are starting to have more sexual content than they did years ago. Television shows can be worse, too. Also, turn on MTV one day. If you don't watch it already, you'll be horrified to see how much junk is on that channel. Not just the shows (Most of which don't have much to do with music even though MTV stands for "Music Television"), but the music videos, can be sexually explicit.
Sadly, it's one of the most popular channels on TV.

ew yea there's girls in my grade who have lost at there virginity (7th grade) and i personally think its nasty..i mean dont you wanna save it for a guy that you really care for? guess not...most of the 6th and 7th grade sluts at our school just hook up all the time but not much else..
8th grade is a whole different story im not even gonna get into that. and theyre only 13 and 14.

it definately seems like that to me. i have a neighbor who is just now a freshman and i found out she lost her virginity in 7th grade ! and i know a lot of younger girls at my high school have lost their virginities by the age of 16 and even younger. i know when i was in middle school people making out was a big deal. but yeah, times are definately changing.

Not much we can do to fight the media though. I think one of the worst parts about it is that some parents either know about this and look the other way...or go as far as to allow it/promote it. Unfortunate? Yes. But just as there are girls who are at that extreme and take sex as something casual, there are still some who who stick strong to their beliefs and try not to.
It is true though, within the past 5 years there has been a dramatic and obvious increase. I guess since its happening so frequent, people try to just push it aside by saying "it's ok." But yeah to answer your question, I think most do, unfortunately.

I know what you mean. Its kind of sad that so many haven't much left to experience by the time they are 16.
How much of it is true is another story. I like to think that some of them may just have questions and want to seem like they know what they are talking about.
But it is bothersome to me now and then. Such short childhoods! :)
