blow dry your hair straight
follow up with thermasilk straightening gel

* you might want to consider a better straightener unless yours is like, new.
conair with turbo-heat is REALLY good for "fluffy" hair.

sunshine_behind_clouds_x3 answered Monday January 2 2006, 10:19 pm: a lot of the matrix products out there are good for straightening and what you do is put it in after you shower and then blowdry your hair and straighten away. after that put in some gel and hairspray to ensure non-frizziness and then go out and do whatever

Linds answered Monday January 2 2006, 5:19 pm: ok.. haha i bet you its not as hard as mine.. since my mom is half black.. and my dads hole family has curly grose hair.. i have kinky curls.. and its soo hard to straighen.. my advice would be to get the Maxi glide.. its usally on commericials.. its the only hair straighner that ever worked.. but then you no when your done and its like frizzy and not shinny? get Bio-silk.. its expensive but it works..
wen i straightin my hair i put it in sections and blow dry it with the medium heat.. this way it doesnt frize out..
also.. you should use Dove condition and shampoo.. because it puts in moisturizer.. i used to use panteene but thats sooo bad for your hair.. also.. dnt staightin your hair a lot bc then it will be dead like what happened to mine.. so yeah.. tell me how it works out =]

jeanine278972 answered Monday January 2 2006, 4:31 pm: Get a Vidal Sasoon Wet/dry Straightner.. Then Straighten your hair when its wet and it will also dry it for you. Then spray all your hair with a lil bit of hairspray (just enough to cover it lightly and not make it totally stiff) Then Straighten it again, and spray it again. It takes like half an hour for long/thin hair. Its time consuming, but it really works!

FunnyCide answered Monday January 2 2006, 4:00 pm: When you get out of the shower, blow dry your hair. This will usually help straighten it a little. Use a wide "paddle" brush to help straighten it while you dry it.
You can always use products that will help calm your hair, such as shampoos and leave in conditioners, but they never work for me.
Once I tried chemically straightening my hair; and it helped... some. But I still had to straighten it with a flat iron. It may work for you - to chemically straighten it. You can purchase chemical straighteners at Sallys for under $10. Most hair dressers can chemically straighten your hair too, but the woman who cuts my hair said that it's so frizzy and curly that it wouldn't be worth the $50.
It also could be the flat iron you're using. I had a ConAir flat iron and it didn't work AT ALL. I had to straighten my hair for 2+ hours and it still wasn't straight. Now I have a CHI flat iron and my hair is board straight in 45 minutes. It's wonderful.

duzzie19 answered Monday January 2 2006, 3:47 pm: well i dont know how unstraight we're talking about here... but in any case, too much of any hair tamer would be more harmful in the long run. i am not big on hair knowledge, just dont really need to. my hair is wavy and when i want it silky straight ill wash warm with pantene pro-v smooth and sleek OR garnier fructis long and strong OR bedhead frizz control (it all depends on what aroma im in the mood for), then partially towel dry, then using either pantene pro-v leave in conditioner or bedhead control freak, i will blow dry for about 10-20 minutes.
theres just an idea to try, it's really easy and good smelling [ duzzie19's advice column | Ask duzzie19 A Question ]
