Dear Rapunzel,
Dont do it!!! Keep it! I too had my hair down to my but. People at school were telling me i should cut it. I was curiouse on how different it would look short, so i did. Those same people were telling me later on that they use to be jelouse of my long dirty blond hair. This was in the 8th grade.I cut it on my 14th b-day. Now im 15 fixen to be 16 and I regret it so you might to0. I wouldnt cut it if i were you.

i think you should cut about 10 inches off and give it to locks of love. getting your hair cut/trimmed often is good for your hair and it helps it grow quicker.
and for hairstyles you can always put it in a half ponytail.
this website might help..

Well, don't cut too short but I think that anything past the shoulders would look cute. If your cut is past the shoulders it still gives you the freedom to do the same styles.

theres this girl that goes to my school with hair to her butt and it looks so dead & unhealthy. if i were you i would trim it to mid back and get layers that frame your face, with maybe side bangs. just dont cut it shot. i mean you can always cut more off but its not going to grow back for a long time.

oneandonly345 answered Thursday December 29 2005, 11:10 am:
i would cut it, to like .. midback.

because you are 14, and you want to look more grown up. and really long hair, in my oppion, is kind of childish.

so i would get it to mid-back, and you get still do everything you did with it when it was longer.

you can curl it, scrunch it (put gel in your hands while you hair is wet and squeeze your hair together, then blow dry, and add more gell) you can put it half up, half down. straighten it, flip out the end, flip under the ends. those are just a few ideas

good luck ♥

iiloveyou answered Wednesday December 28 2005, 8:56 pm:
personally, i think you should cut it for locks of love because that way you can get your hair cut and still make a child in need happy . if you want to get your hair cut but not so much, a few inches off cant hurt . now, for the styling ideas of long hair ::

double twisted bands -
1. Part your hair in the center.
2. Take two-inch sections of hair from each side of your part and twist them towards the back of your head. When the two pieces meet at the back of your head, secure them together with an elastic.
3. Take two-inch sections from the front of your hair just below the first two sections. Twist them both to the back of your head and secure in the same manner.

genie tail -
1. Gather your hair into a ponytail on the top of your head. Secure with an elastic.
2. Take a large section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic.
3. Secure the ends of the section underneath the ponytail with two bobby pins.

teased and half up -
1. Spritz all of your hair lightly with hairspray.
2. Hold your hair straight up by its ends and back-comb it down to create volume.
2. Gather the top half of your hair into a loose high ponytail and secure it with an elastic.

all colied up-
1. Divide your hair into a top half and a bottom half.
2. Gather the bottom half of your hair into a ponytail and twist it into a low bun. Secure the bun in place with four or five bobby pins.
4. Divide the top half of your hair into three equal-sized sections.
5. Twist each section towards the back of your head and keep twisting until you've created three coils above the original low bun. Secure the coils to your head--and the ends of the coils underneath--with bobby pins.

i got these ideas from seventeen magazine, but if you want more ideas, check out www.seventeen.com/hairideas

hailebop answered Wednesday December 28 2005, 8:40 pm:
When you've had long hair all your life it's extremely difficult to let go. Your hair is a sign of your feminity, and it's easy to get into the mindset of the longer, the better, and it can often feel like you spend spend your whole life growing your hair back to the length you want from trims.

In reality, relatively few people can carry off extremely long (as in past the waist) hair. It often only makes you look younger than you - something you don't want as a teenager, and when you are older just makes you seem childish and out of place in an adult environment.

That said however, you may be one of the few who can carry off extremely long hair, and if you love it or think it's one of your best features, why get rid of it?

Perhaps the best thing to do would be to experiment a bit with the length of your hair without doing anything too drastic, just to get yourself out of the rut where you keep the same hairstyle you've had for years because change is scary. If you cut it to midway down your back you'll see what a difference changing the length will make, but you'll still have the feeling of long hair, and it really won't take forever to grow back if you don't like it. All the best.

Do whatever you think is best if you don't want to cut it and people tell you to tell them to butt out. It's your life. And if you want new styles then try some magazines. LOve rates and feedback.

Hey There,

Keep Your Hair! When I was 8 I made the mistake by cutting it to My shoulders. It was down to me butt (*lol*). But Like a dummy I cut it. But it's really what you want. If you like it like that Keep it. But if you don't cut it. But it's your choice. If you like to plat or french braid that would Be so cool. I had my hair french braided last year into 2 separate parts and it looked awsome!
