Hey guys..well i have a question..obviously. Im obsessed with the band Good Charlotte, and have been for about 4 or 5 years..but people always tell me stuff. Im tired of them thinking my music sucks more then theirs because its not "poser" music. I feel like i got more balls then THEY DO cause its harder to admit you like music that will get people to tell you crap the it is to be the crap talker. What should i do?

i like good charlotte too and i have the same problem with simple plan i love them and people say the same shit to me...just be like i like there music and y do you give a fuck..or you could say something like if they like green day or blink 182, well atleast i dont like the same shit as everyone else like you do..it seems to help people still say some shit to me but not that much, also people who say that shit probally like good charlotte and that kind of music too there just to embarrased(sp?) to admit it!...if you try this tell me how it went!

Well who cares what they think? If you like Good Charlotte, then thats all that should matter. I think they're an awseome band. =] You shouldn't let peoples opinions get to you. I mean, it's not like they're opinions should change you or anything. Just next time they make a comment about YOUR bands, make a comment about THEIRS. Say their bands are stupid or something and if they tell you they don't care, just say," Well I don't care what you think of my music choices either." I hope I helped.

dude it doesn't matter what they think. just tell them hey i like this band so w/e maybe i dont like your music. or just ignore it. dont change yourself for anyone else. personally i dont really like good charlotte but im not gonna label you as a poser for liking them. it isn't poser music. it's punk music. anyone who labels youu as a poser or tells you that you are listenin to poser music is just insecure of themselves and they have nothing better to do so they're taking out all their insecurity on you. and just because they dont like your music, doesnt make you a bad person. keep with what you like.

Try to think: do they really care about what music I listen to? I've been on this site that thinks that if "their" music (MCR, the used, panic! at the disco...) goes mainstream, or "poser", then they should stop listening to it. Which is way weirder than anything I've ever heard, but anyways... if they start saying "Oh, I hate Good Charlotte. They suck.", then say "I don't think so. What makes you think that?" Debate it. It's not so bad to argue over music. I get people who tell me that Jesse McCartney sucks butt and is ugly, but I don't care. I just say "NO WAY!" or I smile and say "Yay! Now he's all mine!" as a joke. It usually works out, and when people get obsessive, they don't really mean to hate you if your opinions differ from each other. They just start yelling. So, don't be scared. Tell them what you like. :)

i totally agree with what your saying..next time they say shit just be like "yea i know right?" and just be a smart ass about it. if you show them that you dont care what they say theyll aventually stop what theyre doing because theyre not getting the reaction they want outa you anymore..so yea just ignore what they say and dont stop liking something for someone else! good luck!

You'll find that people will find something wrong with anything. It doesn't matter what music you like, there'll always be someone who feels the need to make a smartass comment about it. So why should you care? You're entitled to listen to whatever you want. If anyone says anything anything, just tell them nicely "STFU I don't give a shit" You shouldn't have to change for anyone. Listen to what you want, and tell people to deal with it.

If YOU like your music, just say so. There's no reason you should have to deal with people saying that kind of crap to you just because you listen to a different kind of music than they do. It's ridiculous. Just tell the crap talkers that they don't have to like it just because you do. You're the one listening to it, not them. Just stand up for yourself. Once they get told off once, they're not too likely to want to try picking on you again.

Why do they care what kind of music you listen to?? They are a good band and you can listen and like any music you want to. Don't listen to them because they are being immature people that don't have a clue about what they are talking about. Ignore them. Not everyone likes the same music and there is nothing wrong with that.
