Tee Shirt

Question Posted Sunday October 2 2005, 11:07 am

I am 13/f and am in the 8th grade (middle school). I have this tee shirt that I want to wear that I got from American Eagle and it says "Very Huggable" on the front, and "Very Kissable" on the back. Is that inappropriate for school, and would it be sending a bad message because I don't want to look like an idiot when I wear it on Monday. Thanks a bunch!

I realize Monday has come and gone by now, and I apologize for the delayed respone. I figured another answer wouldn't hurt. :]

Your shirt seems fine. There's nothing inappropriate about it at all. Inappropriate clothing would be a mid-driff baring tee shirt, or a shirt with '69' on it. [:

I always wear shirts like that. (I'm 13/f too!) The question is, are you comfortable wearing it? It depends on the type of school, the people you are friends with, etc. I think it's ok to wear a shirt like that, but some people may make a big deal out of it. Just use your judgment-good luck!

You shouldn't get in trouble, if you do then its just because they are jealous because they are not. I think that it sounds adorable!

No I don't think its a bad message why would it be. One time I wore a shirt to school that said It's okay to be single. No one judged me so that shirt won't be a promblem.

DON'T wear that shirt. My sister's friend wears it all the time and my whole family always talks about how trashy she is, and that just makes it even worse. It sends out a really bad message for someone who is only 13.

Words on a teeshirt will say things out aloud, people may start to think that you want to express the words written on your shirt so perhaps you should wear shirts that say things that you are or that won't make you feel uncomfortable if you don't want people to think bad then don't wear it just wear something else.Since you want to wear it you should probably wear it when you're going to some other place than school because you know how some people can be.

And why would that be inappropriate for school?

If you have a student hand book, it should say in there that you aren't allowed to wear anything that promotes drugs, alcohol, or sex. Hugging and kissing isn't promoting sex. You'll be fine.

Its definatly not unappropriate for school, and if someone makes a nasty comment about itsay something right back or if your too shy just walk away and ignor it.
