Ok 4 about 2 weeks I have been loosing alot of weight! I mean like I have lost 7 or 8lbs in that time period. What I have been doing is not eating ANYTHING from 7:00am to 3:30pm and I have pratacly been starving my self. When I think of Food I get so hungray. But I don't feel like eating. I weighted 220lbs and now I weigh about 212. Is this healthy. I eat when I get home. No Smartasses please. Thanxs
also, if you eat 5 snack sized meals a day, you wont neeed to eat a lot at night, which is the worst time to eat.
if you have to skip a meal, skip dinner!
despite_the_radio answered Wednesday October 12 2005, 2:59 pm: I have yet to see the actual question in this, but I'm gonna give you my knowledge.
I've had weight struggles for my entire life.
If you ever start eating normally again (and you will, because no one can eat like that forever) you will gain back all of the weight you lost and then some, at a very quick rate.
strange_ursula answered Friday October 7 2005, 6:46 pm: This is not healthy at all.
Please don't think that I'm lecturing, or being a smart-arse because I've been there and it isn't a nice place. I also have one friend who has been hospitalised with anorexia.
Losing that amount of weight in the time-period you described is extremely unhealthy. Your body is lacking the energy that it needs to renew the cells in your body and fuel you through out your day to day activities.
Your body has begun to use its reserves of energy- fat. I suggest that you start eating again, because once all the fat is gone, the body will begin to use muscle tissue as energy. Yeah. Your muscles will be eaten up and you will waste away.
It is a really dangerous mind set to have where you are afraid to eat and I really hope you will speak to some-one about this.
Remember that you are beautiful as you are and you should never change for anybody other than yourself.

This is really not healthy. You are hurting yourself and could possibly have Anorexia Nervosa. You're overweight and you've succeeded in losing some weight, but look at the toll it will take on your life. Your skin, hair, and teeth will become disgusting because you're not getting proper nourishment. Your boobs may sag (gross but true) and you might become faint or dizzy. If you keep this up, you could need to be hospitalized or die. It's scary to be overweight, but this is not the way. You have to talk to somebody in your life who can help you figure this out. Try your parent, your big sister, even the school nurse. There's always somebody there for you. Whatever you do, EAT! If you don't want to eat a lot, just eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, which don't cause people to gain lots of weight. If you really want to lose the weight, keep eating because it is healthy, exercise more, and hang in there. You're gorgeous and you can definitely do it. Good luck! MsGolightly answered Saturday October 1 2005, 11:46 pm: It's very unhealthy, and you will gain the weight back.
When your body is deprived of food, it thinks it's involved in a supreme shortage of food ( as in, if you were in a country where dying of starvation was very common, like some parts of Africa & Cambodia ). Because of this, it stores the fat you DO eat to survive.
I'd suggest doing some simple exercises ( walking up & down stairs, jumping jacks ) and eating healthy foods such as grilled fish with vegetables, and eight glasses of ice-cold water a day. [ MsGolightly's advice column | Ask MsGolightly A Question ]
sillygoose92b answered Saturday October 1 2005, 11:41 pm: That's really not a healthy way to loose weight. Eating in the morning starts your metabolism and its just how your body should naturally function. The healthiest way to eat is have something small every couple of hours. aDoRkAbLe_Co0kIe_ answered Saturday October 1 2005, 10:54 pm: you sound ALOT like me...and I have to say...NO it is absolutely UNhealthy...starving yourself now will eventually lead into Anorexia..and people can die from that...And besides...you may be losing weight now but it will alllll come back to you if you keep starving and then eating...esp. if you eat large amounts. Your best bet would be to eat a salad for lunch (if your school has them) or a small bag of chips and some water...the worst thing is to starve! thats how I've gained soo much weight...I've done exactly what you have and I am certainly not thin! The healthy thing for you to do dear is to eat regularly and just work out maybe 10 minutes a day...TRUST me...it will all work out! But please do not starve yourself! I hope I helped [ aDoRkAbLe_Co0kIe_'s advice column | Ask aDoRkAbLe_Co0kIe_ A Question ]
