Do you see him as more than a friend...? if you do than go for it... if not than don't... & trust me... it is possible to be friends with people that you have dated... look at elaine and Jerry in the show Seinfeld... lol [ SoNuLiCiOuSsS's advice column | Ask SoNuLiCiOuSsS A Question ]
smiLinLiar7x answered Wednesday August 24 2005, 5:43 pm: I've been in the same position as you and i ended up going out with him a couple times..but it didn't really work out and we aren't that good of friends anymore =(..so if i were you i'd save going out with him for later or something and keep your friendship because you wouldn't want to loose a friendship over something like this..EVEN though you 2 still like eachother..(that is if you like him too lol) but i'd say don't take the risk..but in the end its all up to you..
sunnyville answered Wednesday August 24 2005, 5:24 pm: I should probably say don't take the risk and save your friendship but if you really want to be with this guy and have strong feelings then take the risk. The reason I say that is because you may regret it and will stay in your conscious.Make the right choice for yourself. sbloemeke answered Wednesday August 24 2005, 4:58 pm: Your friendship, whether it is a yes or a no, is never going to be the same again. Because before you thought that he was a guy friend who you just were friends with. Now you know that he likes you, and it cannot be the same, however hard you try.
I'd go out with him if I were you (Not if I were myself, that would not be right... :P). The friendship stands more of a chance of being ruined by rejecting him (Hurting his feelings) than going out with him.

jaramae answered Wednesday August 24 2005, 4:42 pm: there's no easy solution to this situation. when matters of the heart involve good friendships, things can inevitably get tricky. I for one, am a firm believer that sometimes best friends can make the best lovers but embarking on relationship with someone who knows you so well can sometimes lead to serious problems. what i suggest is that you think about it throughly and clearly for a long time before making a final decision. if he really is the best friend that you say he is, he shouldn't mind how long it takes for you to think this through. you first have to ask yourself whether or not you actually like him. if you do, think long and hard about whether or not you're willing to risk a great friendship. if you're really worried about ruining your friendship, talk with him about your concerns and try and find a way to ensure that a friendship will still continue even if you guys break up. all in all, just do what you think feels right and make you happy. good luck! =) [ jaramae's advice column | Ask jaramae A Question ]
FunnyCide answered Wednesday August 24 2005, 4:22 pm: Your boyfriend should be your best friend. :-) I think you should go out with him. You're good friends with him, you REALLY know him. You have a better chance of 'hitting it off' with him because of this. Talk to him and discuss your fears. If he understands your fears and helps you, and agrees to stay friends with you EVEN IF you break up, I'd say go for it! Go out with him. Most of the time when people are good friends like that, a break up is more mutual. It's more understood. I think you should go for it. :-)

Do you want to go out with him? If yes just do it. You'll always wonder if you want to but don't let yourself try. [ ScratchesOnTheWall's advice column | Ask ScratchesOnTheWall A Question ]

crazygoober2006 answered Wednesday August 24 2005, 3:36 pm: Well, the good thing about going out w/ a guy that is your best friend is the fact that you already know a lot about him and know him really well, so there are no secrets. I've gone out w/ 3 guys and i've been able to keep a friendship w/ each of them. If the feeling isn't mutual, don't be afraid to let him down...easy! Good luck w/ that one. fallenxfor3ver answered Wednesday August 24 2005, 3:31 pm: I would deffinetly risk your relationship. I was best friends with my boyfriend before I started dating him and it's a really awesome relationship because when your friends first you get to know them better and you know what the other person wants in a relationship. Just make sure that you like him and your willing to risk your friendship, but trust me it will be a great relationship ! and if you guys break up and arn't friends afterward, it could probably mean that he didn't really like you that much in the first place and no girl deserves a boyfriend who doesn't truley love her.
