Dakmor answered Sunday August 14 2005, 12:11 pm:
Er, no. When you were 2, you were probably about two feet, or something like that. Unless you have dwarfism, that's not going to happen anytime after you're 7.

K2204 answered Sunday August 14 2005, 10:26 am:
im sure that that is not true. I am sure that it just has to do with giving you a big range otherwise known as a "ball park" of where your height could be,

some people may get a growth spurt @ age 2 some @ age 3 and then eventhough the doubled height says that the person with the growth spurt @ 2 should be taller, the person with a growth spurt @ 3 was.

sorry, I dont know if I spelt that right, and sorry its confusing!

xomegaroni answered Sunday August 14 2005, 8:54 am:
i think that's untrue, because you can't really predict. like guys grow slower than girls, so they're heights would be diff, and stuff w/ growth spurts..so yeah that isn't true.

-hope that helped!

LoveNJstyle answered Sunday August 14 2005, 8:29 am:
no its not because for boys it was at 3 years old and it can vary...i did that and it said i was gonna be 5 foot and im 5'3 and not fully grown. so then i guess that no, its not true. <3

Hmm I've never heard that before. But of course there are many factors that can contribute to that. Playing a lot of sports, especially basketball might actually help you become taller. Also, for guys, weight lifting at an early age could stunt growth. I've heard that generally you will be around your mother's height. Hope that helps.

MFS answered Sunday August 14 2005, 1:10 am:
I would say that it is crap. Your height from age 2? I know someone who was just over 2 feet tall at the age of two. Now that person is well over 6 foot. There are a lot of factors that will determine one's adult height - from genetic to nutritional to environmental effects. To declare that your height from age 2 is half your adult height is weak and based on poor assumptions. Doctors can, however, look at the spaces between growth plates on your bones when young and approximate what your final adult height will likely be.
