ok im 13 years old and a girl and my sister just got me this baby-sitting job. Its for a 8 or 9 year old i dont know if its a boy or girl though she hasnt told me. But i was wondering what i could do to keep them entertained and busy for a the few hours that i'm with them. I mena i really need the money and i dont want to screw this up and end up gettin the job takin anyway. so please help me thanx everyone.

I babysit too. I usually bring a book or two because at that age, they have all the toys, movies, and books, they need. Ask the parents what the kid is allowed to play with and whatnot. At 8 or 9, a child usually just entertains itself.

I would bring like little books, maybe a little chapter book. Some games like Candyland, limbo ( i loved that game when I was little ), some little crafts, and food, but the thing that will keep them entertained the most is a T.V. and food. Hope this helped.

Well, just watch TV with them, cook them food, play a few games, and what not. It's simple, don't stress about it. Also, ask your sister what they are like, so you have an idea of what to do.

it is always good to play with them cuz if they dont like you they will tell their parents and you will loos the job, just incase you should bring a movie and candy incase they dont like you, but make sure to ask the parents if it is o.k to watch to movie and have the candy. cuz if they find out you gave them something they are not allowed to have you will be in trouble, because they might have alergies that you dont know abou

an 8 or 9 year old will be old enough to let you know what they want to do. So long as it isn't something that will bring harm to themselves, you or the neighborhood in general just let them tell you what they want to play. :)

Kids are way energedic at that age.Just do stuff that take alot of energy and when they get tyerd.Try playing a kids bourd game with them.

If it is a little boy, play sports and/or video games. The boy will love you forever. ^^ Lol.
A little girl around that age likes games of dressup and pretend. For example, pretend you are having a concert. Dress up, and sing along to your favorite songs!
Movies work as well, and telling stories can be fun. Try taking turns making up parts of a story.

Ok... for starters.. it depends on what the parents want. Some parents want them to cut down on tv. If that's the case... bring crayons and coloring books... board games (if they don't have any.) play a few rounds of go fish. Play hide and go seek outside. If it's a girl.. let her do your hair or paint your toe nails... if it's a boy... play basketball with him or something... There are a lot of things you can do.. just think like it's a little sister or brother you wanna spend time with.

Try doing things that the kid wants to do. I mean you dont want to be doing anything the kid isnt into. So ask if he/she wants to watch a movie. Draw, paint. Go out side and play some basketball or just watch them ride the bike or something. It wont be so hard. I mean those few hours will pass in no time. ll ♥ ll

You should basically do whatever the kids want to do (within reason). Some things that the kids might like are coloring, playing outside, watching movies(this is a good idea because it takes up alot of time), and playing board games. I hope I helped.
