I personally think $6 an hour would be a good rate for you guys because you could split that evenly. Also, its around the regular rate!

hope i helped! good luck! please rate!

I would charge 75 cents an hour if they are going to be out late, but if its like an hour or so, 2 dollers an hour.

well you should not give a price you should take whatever the parents give you and then split it between you and your friend, if the parents ask what your price is tell them it does not matter. i have a bunch of babysitting jobs so i know alot about it.

If the parents are gone for about 4-5 hrs i would say £10 each would be fair pay.

THE most important thing about babysitting.........

take extra good care of the baby.

its probably not a good idea to babysit together because you both wont get paid as much as you would if it was just 1 of you. but $7 an hour is good..5 isnt enough as 10 is asking too much

well 5 or 6 an hour then say you'll split it half way. the ppl will ask you to ocme back and bbysit more and then you'll get more jobs. then they will also tell thier friends cause your so "cheap" and you do a good job ((if you do, which im sure you do)). thats what i do with my friends! good luck gettin jobs, ne more questions then drop it in my box.. x3 hannah

VixenDark answered Monday July 18 2005, 3:03 pm:
5-6 an hour for two sitters is more than reasonable.

Bring a "goodie bag"! Pack age-appropriate toys and games, and bring it. Change the stuff inside everytime. That way, the kids have something to look forward to!

You might want to keep in mind that some customers don't like 2 people watching their kids at the same time..Think about it from the parent's view..2 teenage kids alone in a house that are supposed to be watching your kids.
But I think that a fair price for one person with one kid would be around $2.50-$3.00 an hour. Good luck

7-10 dollars per person per hour is what people generally charge now. about babysitting, if the kid gets upset or start crying, instead of you talking to them, if they have a sibling have the sibling talk to them and tell them its okay, it makes it easier for the upset child. umm...if they start crying for there mom or dad, tell them that they will be home soon and then get the parents on the phone and let the child hear their parents voice. and always play with whatever toys they want to play with, even if it doesnt interest you or else theyll get upset. dont just watch them but get involved with them. and one last thing, if the child is sleeping when you arrive to start, have the parent wake up the child because if the child wakes up to no parents and just a stranger in the house, they will freak out lol. good luck and have fun!

Hey! I am a babysitter and I charge $5.00 per hour (which is a reasonable price). Some tips are:
-never take your eye off of the kids especially the younger ones because they may cause trouble or get hurt
-ask the kids what they want to do, but then ask yourself if they would be able to do it when their parents were home, use common sense of what you an and can't do
-when you cook food always clean up the kitchen after you are finished
-right before the parents get back home try to clean up all of the toys or other things that you used.(sometimes when you clean up they will pay you extra $$)!!

Good luck
I hope this helps

MHScutie87 answered Monday July 18 2005, 1:58 pm:
the price depends on the number of kids and the ages of each kid. it would be kind of pointless for both of ya'll to babysit just one kid because you would probably only get paid $5 an hour and then you would have to split that. for two kids, you should get paid around $7 an hour.

also, know that if the kids are older (7-8) then they can probably entertain themselves more so than a 3 year old. if you are give special instructions, then definitely follow them, but i'm sure you'll do fine!

good luck- :)

Hey
When I baby sit, I usually get 5-6 dollars an hour, sometimes 7. A really important thing about babysitting is keeping the kids in control, but also not being too strict

You should ask for about $5-7 for one hour. Thats for both of you tho. Depends on how old the kid is. Dont make it cry. Keep your eye always on the baby, play with him/her. Feed them when ever the mom said. ll ♥ ll
