i live around chicago IL, and were having a drought, so its really hot around here. it gets really humid - and my hair is naturally wavy. if i scrunch it and wear it curly, it gets frizzy, and if i straighten it and wear it straight, it doesnt stay striaght, it puffs up etc. i have to go to summer school every day from 8-12, and i have very thick and quite long hair, what are some easy hair styles that i could do quick in the morning that doent look sloppy?
fairfax answered Saturday July 9 2005, 10:25 am: Do they make "frizz ease" in the USA? I'm british so I wouldn't know. Anyways, if they do, I would advise investing in this. Not only does it stop frizz really well but it stops your hair going all hard and staying with a 'wet look' like most mousses do to hair. Your hair looks soft and naturally sleek. I would recommend it, the only problem is that it's expensive. I hope you find something that works :) [ fairfax's advice column | Ask fairfax A Question ]
xBestAddiction answered Friday July 8 2005, 1:25 am: Leave your conditioner in longer, then when you get out of the shower, blow dry it, then put any products in your hair that reduce frizz such as bedhead, or other products. never go outside with wet hair cause the air makes it frizzy when it dries. and some styles are...
pony tail- spice it up though if its to boring like braids in it or something.
2 pig tail french braids-this is really cute.
a bun- make it like messy and hair loose and it will look cute. [ xBestAddiction's advice column | Ask xBestAddiction A Question ]

VanityScore answered Thursday July 7 2005, 1:29 pm: Keep your conditioner in your hair for 3-5 minutes.. it reduces frizz and makes your hair softer...(I suggest any kind of shampoo or conditioner from Garnier!). If you blow dry it, use products. Keep a small brush around to continue to keep frizz down.
sarcasticgal1221 answered Thursday July 7 2005, 12:55 pm: First of all, I'd gardly call what we are having a "drought." :P
You should not ever go outside with wet hair. That will only make it frizzier. Don't be afraid to put stuff in your hair. After you shower, put in mousse. A lot of it. I actually use some hair cream and then mousse, but you may not want that much crap in yours.
As for styles, you can experiment with braids, twists, ponytails... Also clips are very good. If you get a large clip, you can twist your hair up and clip it.
Straigtening hair is very very very very bad for hait. It dries it out, which only makes it more frizzy. You may also want to consider using moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, or a deep conditioner.

Sammerz619 answered Thursday July 7 2005, 12:02 am: i say throw it up in a cute bun or something and just use gel to stop the frizz. That way it gets it off the back of your neck which wont be annoying in the heat. Good thing is if its so humid it might rain soon!(hopefully cuz i hate the humidity) Well i hope i could help!Sammerz [ Sammerz619's advice column | Ask Sammerz619 A Question ]

je_taime_tant1 answered Wednesday July 6 2005, 11:08 pm: If your hair is long and thick, then it'd be a good idea to get it thinned. My best friend does it and it looks fabulous. Then it'll be really easy to wear your hair anyway you want to. A hair cut is a possible solution too. Or, you can put in an anti-frizz treatment after you wash your hair. They really do work. There are also plenty of leave-in conditioners that work a dream. As for your hair styles, you can wear your hair up so it probably won't poof out too much. A high ponytail looks nice on anyone. I hope that helps you, sorry if it didnt...
LoveNJstyle answered Wednesday July 6 2005, 11:07 pm: o goodness! i would say put it up in a pony tail. you cant go wrong. if you straighten it, it will stay that way longer and wavy would stay too. you can do different types which are pretty easy to do. if you hate the idea, put it in braids or in a bun or half ponytail. hope this helps! <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
