i wanna qet a hair cut tomorrow....i want bang,but i wanna pull them to the side, and i want it kinda short like a little above my shoulders...am i taking serious chances?? cuz my hair is pretty long, but i want something a little more fun and a little preppy/trendy...any other ideas??

i think that your hair would look good like that! bangs are very in right now. i dont think that you are taking serious chances because change is always good. if you think that up to you shoulders is a little too short then get like right above your bust or somewhere along there. it would look great. always do what you feel comforable doing.

I have a preppy/trendy idea! My neighbor has a haircut exactly like your explaining, and her hair used to be long too! It looks fantastic. What she did was have little spaced out fluffy bangs, and then had like her hair kind ofdont sticks out, at the bottom, and it looks really awesome!

well i deffinitly prefer you to get soemthing done like jessica simpsons. if youve seen it without her having any extensions she has it kinda short but with side bangs sorta ashlee simpsonish but its way adorable. if you need any pics of it askk me && i cna help ya out. =)* carmen

Have you seen Ashlee Simpson's new haircut? Its similar to what you want and it's really cute. She's on the cover of CosmoGirl magazine right now. Pick up a copy of that and you'll see what I'm talking about. Show it to your stylist, it should be pretty easy to do.

umm..i had thiss same problemm like a couplee years aqoo i had banqss..and they were horrible and i finally qrew them out andd ii seen qirls haiir that had them banqs taht were to the siide andd i triedd that too..i was sacred but it came outt qreatt i ..lOve..my haiir now..its called side swept banqs and..ii think that u should qet baout 3-4 inches off..!!=]

I think that sounds like a cute cut - a lot like what I used to have. If you flip it out and have the bang to the side it looks really great - used to get TONS of compliments on that! BUT before you go - do yourself a favor and pick up a hairstyle magazine. Just hang out in the store and look through them until you find one with the cut you want (walgreens or CVS are great for these mags) and bring it to the hair salon with you. Have a back up style just in case the hair dresser says that style definately won't work on you. If they are good, they can shape the cut you want to the shape of your face and you will come out with a semi - original great cut. Good luck!

Last year i got my hair cut the same way your asking. It looks nice, because my hair parts to the side, so i had side bangs to the side the bigger parts on. I think it looks ok but if you play a lot of sports or put your hair up a lot it gets annoying, and when it starts growing out its a pain too because its like too short to put up, but not long enough stay behind your ears for a long time. Also, im pretty daring when it comes to cutting the length of my hair, so i say go for it. If you have a rounder shaped face shorter hair looks better, and with long oval shaped faces long hair looks best. Its just a physical faeture thing. Well i hope that i could help you at all. Sammerz
