Veet

Question Posted Thursday June 30 2005, 4:18 pm

I'm thinking about using Veet (the hair removing stuff). Is it bad for your skin?

[ Answer this question ]

Additional info, added Friday July 1 2005, 11:57 am:
I'm not talking about the waxing stuff.. i'm talking about the bladeless hair removal stuff. How often do you have to use it? Cuz on the commercial it says your legs stay smooth up to twice as long as shaving with a razor.. is that true?.

hey yeah the veet bladeless razor thing works really good! but make sure you leave it on long enough but not over the maximum! mine lasted probably 4 or 5 days!! so it definitely stayed twice as long! and the new bendable head thing looks pretty cool. but i have the old kind lol.

hope this helps- :)

OMG don't even touch that stuff!! I wanted to buy it ; but my friend bought it before I did and I asked her to tell me if I should get it ; and she called me telling me how it burns and stuff and she said it didn't even get all of the hair off...but she said it especially burned. So I would suggest not getting it...but maybe her skin just might be differently reacting then to what yours could..so..I don't know ; but I wouldn't even try it if it had someone's skin burn..hope I helped!!

Love,
MELii

Personally... I used that stuff once and it's awful... You have to smother this cream over your legs and sit for AGES while it takes affect making sure it doesn't drip off your legs! It smells like it's burning your hair off and when you wipe it away if the cream got moved off any areas the hair won't be removed, and it makes your skin REALLY dry! It's a right pain! I would suugest sticking to the razor!

When I tried it, it barely worked.. The hair has to be pretty long for it to do much. My friend also got these weird, huge, red bumps all over her legs where she used it. It also smells horrible, and you smell like it for a day or so. It takes a while to do also. I think shaving is just easier, and not as bad smelling !

ok... it looks like it works, but for me it didn't. The hair was still there, so i had to go ahead and shave. Maybe it's just me though... some of my other friends couldn't get it to work either. You can try if you want, it could have just been me and my friends.

HOpe it works out
God Bless

Absolutely not! I use veet and it works wonderfully! The only downside of it is having to use it more often than you would use a
razor. (AND it wont give you razor burn :) !!)
Hope I helped! <3 Candace

No veet isnt bad for your skin, i use it all the time. it actually makes your skin very smooth and silky, if you have sensitive skin test it out first on a small patch of leg hair. And of course, read the directions. be sure not to swim 24 hours after you use it. wait a least a day.
